I cannot recommend Hai Au Aviation enough! Truly an amazing experience. From start to finish communication was excellent. Email them directly for flights times. The entire operation is prompt, smooth, and professional. All staff was above and beyond. If you need to store your suitcases, contact them directly and you can leave at the office for a very small fee per day. I flew both HAN-HLI, and back to HAN. When I landed in HLI, they have a golf cart that’s free of charge to take you to your boat tour (Tuan Chau lots). Then on the way back I scheduled with them to pick me up as well, no problems. The best part, the flight. AMAZING views, unbeatable time to get to and from ha long bay, and the sight seeing was the highlight. They will send a schedule of likelihood of cancels for flights which is seasonal, and was very accurate. (No cancels for me during summer = very low chance of cancels). Overall highly recommend to see ha long bay from above, and save time to and from. Pilots did an awesome job too! Great work all.

This was a splurge but so worth it. It saves time and you get to see Ha Long Bay from the air. It was a treat from check in to the landing. Go for it

We had trouble at check in it took absolutely ages we were told that we had to be individually weighed we were not advised about this by our tour company Audley travel.They tried to charge us for an extra seat even though the plane was half empty eventually it was all sorted out.The seaplane was a fantastic way to see haylong bay and would actually recommend .

We booked our transfer from Hanoi to HaLong bay with scenic flight months in advance. Replies to emails and questions were quick and friendly, but the request for payment to secure your flight came equally quickly, suggesting they would otherwise be fully booked and unavailable. When booking I read up on the flight and how it could be cancelled if the weather was unsuitable for he flight. I fully understand that. What I have less understanding for is your flight being cancelled with less than 48 hours notice because the plane isn't full enough. Unless we wanted to book two more tickets at the full rate, you were offered a full refund or a transfer by taxi to your destination in Ha Long and the price difference refunded. I was not aware the flight could be cancelled over that reason. We offered to meet in the middle, that was declined. In addition it's not a full refund either. 2% of your payment is not returned to cover their creditcard commission charges. Seeing that the cancellation is not due to my fault or some sort of force majeure, I do not find that's fair. Also; the rate for the transfer to Hanoi is about 20% more expensive than the average rate for a precooked driver will charge (which is usually around 2.000.000 VND). Sorry, but we are not happy customers and feel a) refund should be in full and b) this reason for cancellation should be communicated more clearly, just like the weather being communicated clearly.
