Were to start. Our guide "J.D." (because he likes Jack Daniel's, or Johnny Walker, depending on the telling), spoke poor English. He was very difficult to understand and had trouble making himself understood, even to a native English speaker.
I asked him for help finding a Buddhist artifact at the Temple, and he said he would... but then hustled us onto the buses without even going to the gift shop.
When we went for lunch, we were in the middle of a large group of 400 who were doing exactly what we were doing... they prevented us from taking a small boat river cruise, and then when we tried to take the large boat back across the Mekong, it couldn't get to the dock. He kept saying "they didn't tell me, they didn't tell me".
When we did get on the big boat after standing in the boiling hot sun for 30 minutes, the boat had to exit at a difficult angle and beached itself. In trying to unbeach us the Vaptain overheated the engine and had to try to work on the cooling system.
When that didn't work she called another boat to slam into us and try to knock us off the beach. That didn't work and after an hour we got towed off.
If that wasn't enough, on the way across the Mekong the captain rammed into another boat damaging it quite badly (there was a tire and a 4 ft hunk of wood in the water after) and then proceeded to hit and run.
When all of this was over and we were back in the van JD didn't apologize but instead pretended like it was a normal day. Maybe it was. I don't want to find out.

Jacky Hieu is a professional and funny tour guide! He can tell you alot about everything on this tour.
We were lucky to have him as our guide.
Recommended in small groups, keeps everything more personal.
Alot of shopping can be done on this tour, coconut candies, honey and more

We went on a wonderful day tour with Jacky Hieu to the Mekong delta. Jacky was so warm, friendly and welcoming. He speaks fluent English and French and has a wicked sense of humour. He is very knowledgeable and knows his history. The tour programs is excellent, the team and the service is wonderful. The food is plentiful and delicious. If possible make sure you try the snake wine at Coconut Island as it has aphrodisiac qualities. Thanks so much Jacky and we love you!

It was a great trip! Jacky Hieu was very informative and super friendly. The food was tasty. We learned alot about the village life on the Delta. My family enjoyed it very much.

Great experience, great day in the Delta of Mekong! So good to get a day outside Saigon and discover the local daily life with coconut candies production, enjoying fresh fruits, honey and traditional songs, sliding on the Mekong with small boats. These islands of the unicorn and others are so lovely! My family (a group of 16 persons of different ages from 8 to 70 years, including teenagers and young adults) was traveling across Vietnam and Jacky Hieu our guide (talking an excellent French and English!) was taking such a good care of everyone, with a great humour, energy and knowledge. Thank you so much for these unique moments

We had a combined 1 day tour for Cu Chi tunnels and Mekong Delta (Booked via Airbnb). Our guide Xuyen was great.She is knowledgeable and entertained the whole group well. She even told us jokes and sang songs in between to keep the spirits high during the tour.
The whole trip was well organised and the food provided was also good.
I would highly recommend to have this experience with VN bike Tour.

Why can I not book the 43 Canadian Dollars Mekong Delta 1 day tour it keeps trying to book me into one that is more than Dollara100 per person. The one I want is Viator 59854P9
