- People L0 条分享too poor to afford air conditioning?!

Choosing a 5 star is a little misleading for a lace that shares the story that it does. It was a shocking and educational tour to be a part of. It is worth the emotional visit to learn the atrocities that were committed and to ideally be a part of a world that will not let this happen again

Well-documented museum that highlights the atrocities of the war, that of Indochina (against the “French slave trader” as is constantly recalled during this part) then that of Vietnam against the United States. A good part comes from photos and testimonies of international journalists, Then weapons (rifles, machine guns, mines,...) are on display. At the end of the visit, a very (too much at times) realistic part that shows the damage of Agent Orange much used by the US military during the war, as well as the devastation of napalm bombs.
You will end the tour with a reconstruction of prisons and torture systems...
In short, a museum that has the merit of showing things as they were actually lived at the time, but sometimes a little “gory”.

A very well put together historical record of the war that affected so many, very moving and dignified, you can easily spend some time here deep in thought at what people went through

Interesting museum, shows a collection of military equipment used by the United States, and a remembrance of the rice acts they did in Vietnam and how the people of Vietnam managed to survive the invading forces and get ahead in the face of all adversity. Admission is very economical and really worth visiting

We are on a OAT 24 day tour of all of Vietnam
The War Remnant Museum is interesting but mainly a propaganda tool (possibly rightfully so).
Even after the US pulled out of Vietnam, we continued to send armor and supplies to the South Vietnam army for years where they continued to battle on, and much of it is now on display here at the museum with US markings applied.
This is a very depressing museum. There are photographs of which only about 10% of which us
back in the US ever observed on TV or within periodicals.
Yea some would say lots of Communist Propaganda, but no denying it = the photos are VERY effective of what hell looked like when it comes to war!!! Asian peoples can be somewhat brutal to one another, and when American solders see what is going on they can get right in there with the brutality, especially when they lose friends in battle.
There is a separate section which shows the birth defects effect consequences from the spraying of the defoliant “Agent Orange”.
This is one museum, Americans should see, but NOT a location I would want to revisit!
The photos were shot by photojournalist, of which many lost their lives in the conflict.
I am not too sure X US Vietnam vets would like to view what is displayed within the inhumane consequence of war that is on display, that some of our troops got involved in.

During my visit to the War Remnants Museum in Vietnam, I was deeply moved by the stories and exhibits that revealed the remarkable courage of the Vietnamese people in their struggle for freedom. The museum’s displays, particularly those detailing the horrors of imprisonment and the war crimes committed by the U.S. during the conflict. It was a sobering reminder of the resilience and strength that the Vietnamese people demonstrated in the face of unimaginable adversity. Witnessing these accounts firsthand brought a profound understanding of the sacrifices made for their independence.
