Unfortunately lots of things went wrong with this tour!
We booked many weeks prior and emailed and confirmed pick up details. Then as soon as we arrived in town we confirmed again and had our hotel call to confirm.
The next morning the bus didn’t arrive. The hotel kept calling the tour company and was told repeatedly they were on their way. After nearly an hour late our hotel called the company again and this time was told the bus was not coming and instead asked us to catch a taxi to the depot to catch up with the tour bus. We were told that the taxi would be paid for by the company. As soon as we gave address to the taxi driver he yelled at our concierge as the address was wrong!! After two more phone calls the address was checked and off we went. Half way there we realised the taxi was lost, driver was very mad and asking locals where to go. I eventually googled the depot address and helped the taxi driver.
When we arrived at the tour office we were treated like we were the ones who got lost and caused the delay and were even asked to pay the taxi ourselves. We refused!
When we boarded the bus we found our group had been kept waiting for the hour in the bus! They were quite angry to see us as they had been told we were lost and held them up!!!
The tour itself was quite boring, the guide was pleasant but there were very little talking due to language barrier.
The lunch was poor quality leaving us and other guests hungry. One guest near us ordered a drinking coconut and it was practically empty on arrival. She complained to the tour guide who then admitted it was probably one of the staff half drunk ones!!!
They finished off the tour with some very average Karaoke..... the group was well and truly waiting to go home at this point.
