The bridge is a amazing concept and is brilliant to be there as the cable car run to get there is the longest ride in Asia. You are never going to get that perfect photo where there is noone else on the bridge! However, go on a weekday and it is not as busy as the weekends. In Da Nang or Hoi An? It is a must to do as the views are fabulous.

Met het agency had ik afgesproken dat we een flexible tour zouden doen, ter plekke te bespreken met de driver. We wilden natuur bezoeken, en zonder de Ba Na hill. De chauffeur had dit echter niet doorgekregen en sprak zeer slecht engels, waardoor bespreken moeizaam ging en we bijna niets gezien hebben wat we wilden, met uitzondering van de city of ghosts, wat overigens een groot succes was, zeker een aanrader. Hij wilde niet stoppen op de Hai Van pas, niet bij mooie uitzichten, niet bij een waterval, enkel op de top en die was volledig in mist gehuld, waardoor we dus niets gezien hebben. Het was dus een zeer dure rit om enkel de city of ghosts te zien, we waren dan ook niet tevreden over het agency, ook al omdat ik gevraagd had om voor de twee dagen dat we bij hun iets geboekt hadden dezelfde chauffeur te krijgen, maar ook dat lukte dus niet.

Hōa was our driver from Hue to Hoi An, and he was absolutely wonderful, as was the trip itself. We made stops at a gorgeous lagoon, the beach, and Ba Na Hills - all absolute must sees. The golden bridge and the cable car alone are worth the price of admission - but there are plenty of other things to see and experience in SunWorld. Our driver also made sure we stopped at the best places for photos while driving through the Hai Van pass - the views were stunning. Hōa provided us with great information on the way - both historical and insights on local customs - and had the best recommendations for Hoi An. He even made sure we got water for our villa at ‘local’ prices🙂

We booked this trip as we needed to get from Hue to Hoi An and we had also wanted to include trip to Ba Na Hills to see the Golden Bridge. We were picked up from our hotel at 8am by Vu, our driver for the day Great guy, really enjoyed his company, had great local knowledge and knew all the places to stop on route for photo opportunities etc. He does this route most days so knows the road like the back of his hand and we felt in very safe hands. First stop was Lang Co Beach for a few tourist photo snaps and a morning coffee before tackling the dizzy heights of the Hai Van Pass. Vu stopped at various locations along the pass to allow us to take photos and also at the top. Views looking down the pass and over to Danang are breathtaking. Next stop was the Ba Na Hills Resort. Upon arrival Vu escorted us on the shuttle bus from the car park to the ticket office and helped us buy our tickets (note, these are not included in price of trip which we knew but it is cash only sale which surprised us given this place is a resort and everything else on the hill can be paid by card). Vu gave us no definitive time limit so we were free to enjoy the trip up the mountain on the cable car without constantly clock watching. The resort itself was not really our thing a mini Disneyworld in a Bavarian castle mountain theme. It was mainly made up of restaraunts and hotels. We had only really wanted to see the Golden Bridge so after sitting down for a spot of lunch we made our way there. It's not clearly signposted which may be deliberate to keep you in the main part spending money there but following signs for WOW passes seemed to be the best way to get there. It was quite misty the whole time we were up there but fortunately we got a slight break in the clouds and sun came out while we were on the bridge. Mission accomplished we headed for the cable car back down. Vu told us to message him when we were coming down and he was there to greet us when we arrived back at the base terminal where he escorted us back on the shuttle bus to the car. We then made our way back around outskirts of Danang and on to Hoi An where Vu safely dropped us off at our next hotel. The whole trip took us around 8 hours but depending on how long you want to spend at Ba Na Hills that can be shortened or extended by an hour or so I reckon but please spare a thought for Vu who has to drive all the way back to Hue after dropping you off!! We would have no hesitation recommending this tour as a way of getting from Hue to Hoi An by private car.

This was the perfect service for my travel needs. I wanted to travel from Hoi An to Hue with the convenience of a private, comfortable transfer and I was also really interested in visiting the Golden Bridge on the way. Fortunately, Tom from Stop and Go Tours provided this service exactly how I hoped and I got to visit some very lovely, scenic stops along the way. It was a nice bonus towards the end to taste some barbecue oysters (a local specialty) at a nice, authentic restaurant. Highly recommend anyone to replicate this experience as you won't be disappointed.

Die Fahrt über den Wolkenpass war super.Sam ist ein sehr guter Fahrer.Die Stadt Ba Na war mir persönlich zu sehr Walt Disney.Die Seilbahn fahrt jedoch spektakulär.

Wir waren im Februar 2023 mit Vu (Sam) auf der Strecke unterwegs. Er spricht prima English mit einem großen Wortschatz und hat uns diverse Tipps für Hoi An und auch zur Strecke gegeben. Wir haben sehr viel Spaß auf der Tour gehabt. Er fährt sicher und ruhig und kommt auch ohne Hupen klar… Er war eher Tourguide als Fahrer und hat alle unsere Fragen beantworten können. WOW! WOW! WOW! Two Aussies that had the experience of a life time with Vu. Company is really flexible and asked us what we want involved in the trip. Vu was so great, really good English speaker and did not shy away from any question we asked. Even when we got really into it with some pretty personal topics. We changed the order of our itinerary that was planned and it was met with a smile and ease. I feel as though today we got to see inside the world of a local through just our light hearted car conversation with Vu. Intelligent guy, his wife Sami helped us the day before in Hue and it was a “small world” moment when he picked us up. He remembered us! Felt so safe, he was exactly where he said he’s be at all times. We invited him to lunch, he was very grateful. You can ask to have specific drivers with this company and I truly would want anyone else. Vu! Thank you so much. About monkey mountain though, it is called that because of Americans having their belongings taken by monkeys during the war. Don’t expect to see them while you are there.

I booked this tour last minute yesterday because of the fantastic Mr Trung who i did another tour with, and he recommended Ba Na hills! I was able to decide when to start the visit, how long a stayed and when we finished which is nicer than being dictated in a group tour. The weather unfortunately was not in my favour so this meant I didn’t want to stay as long looking around the French village and the golden bridge etc as I might have if the sun was out and Mr Trung was happy to go with the flow. Thank you Mr Trung for a fabulous couple of days (and for introducing me the best sandwich!) - I will be recommending you and Stop & Go Tours to my friends and family visiting Vietnam in the future :)

Entrance to Ba Na Hill is 750,000 vnd/person. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a large, Disneyland-style amusement park and not just the bridge. Very much worth the cost. Plan on spending a couple hours there.
