Highly recommended tour to know the Imperial City of Hue. Our guide was named Dany and he taught us both the imperial city and the forbidden city and told us the story of these buildings and Vietnam. I recommend to know Hue more.

We had a wonderful afternoon in Hue imperial city. Matthew is a wonderful person and storyteller and he’s English is pleasant and well spoken. We can, with out hesitation, recommend a guided tour with Matthew.

Matthew was an excellent tour guide who is passionate about Hue and its history. It was a pleasure to be on his tour, and his explanations really brought the imperial city to life. Matthew was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions along the tour. By the end I wished the tour had been longer!

As one group was full I was put on a private tour which was very generous. Sue kindly avoided crowds and made sure we were in no rush, allowing me to learn as much as possible from her and get the best experience I could. The general area is very beautiful and it was great to learn about the dynasty that unified Vietnam as we know it today for the first time. Thanks :)

Matthew is a phenomenal guide! He has a lovely personality, and is an excellent storyteller. It was such a treat to learn about Imperial City through him. He was very engaging. Matthew also gave us some recommendations for after the tour. I recommend this experience!

What a great Tour! Matthew our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had a passion for the history of his town and Vietnam that made this so much more special. His English was fantastic. We were lucky enough to be the only two on the afternoon tour. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants the best historians there are in Hue. Thanks again for a great tour :)

We had a really fantastic morning with Matthew. He was extremely knowledgeable, interesting and good fun to spend 2.5 hours with walking around the Imperial City. His knowledge of the Hue history brought the place to life. Highly recommend!

It was my pleasure to show you not only the history and architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty, but also Vietnamese history.
The Imperial City is so huge that it takes a long time to explore it from one corner to another. So I am very happy to know that you were happy with the 2.5 hours we spent inside that huge complex.

We took a walking tour of the Hue Imperial City with Trinh who was an interesting and entertaining guide. We were fortunate that there were only three of us in the group, and Trinh was able to share her knowledge of the history of Imperial Hue while we managed to see a lot of the very large site. Trinh’s English was very good and she was easy to understand. Not only did we learn about the history but Trinh shared lots of facets of life in Hue with us.
The tour was well paced and allowed time for photography and a few short breaks.
Starting early at 8.30 was essential to beat the midday heat.

Sue was an amazing tour guide. She gave us a very detailed explanation of the history of the Nguyen Dynasty and the Citadel. I really appreciated how thoroughly she answered our questions. The Imperial City is beautiful and the history is rich and striking.
