We had a great time discovering more of Dhaka with this private guided tour of the city.
We covered the main sites such as the Pink Palace, Armenian Church, Central Shaheed Minar, Curzon Hall, Dhakeshwari temple, Parliament building and even did a small boat tour of Buriganga river and a quick ride on a rickshaw! It was a very busy day but we saw so much and got to try some local food for lunch.
Would 100% recommend this tour. A must if you visit Dhaka - especially given how hard it is to navigate around the city. Thanks Rocky for a great trip!

I visited Dhaka this August with a group of friends. This tour was perfect to see all the best places in the city! Our tour guide Rocky had lots of interesting information about each place we visited and was also really lovely to talk to, and made sure everyone was having the best day possible! We travelled in a very comfortable minibus and there were many opportunities to get out and explore at different locations. I would recommend this tour to anyone in Dhaka - they can adapt it to your recommendations and ideas, and also ensure that you see many of Dhaka’s interesting places. Thank you Rocky, we hope to see you again!

My friends and I had a lovely day being toured around Dhaka by Rocky. He showed us the main sights of Dhaka, and took us for some tasty food too! His hospitality and perfect English speaking made the day stress free and easy. I would recommend this tour to anyone trying to make the most of their trip to Bangladesh’s capital. Thank you so much for taking us Rocky, I hope to see you again one day!

We went for the old Panam City ruins and Sonargaon tour, with a relaxing boat ride in the afternoon. Rocky is a fantastic and friendly tour guide, he speaks good English and is knowledgeable on all the sites he brought us to see. The day trip was just nice, not too taxing while giving us a good taste of the old town and Bangladeshi village charms viewed from the river. Rocky is very accommodating to our requests. We highly recommend his tour package.

a great few days in the sprawling and overwhelming metropolis of Dhaka. Rocky is generous, street savvy, and listens and anticipates the needs of his clients. The sights were put into context and the food was delicious - and if you're lucky enough to get a musical interlude, good for you!

As an architect, my trip to Dhaka for a conference was enriched doubly by spending the day before with Rocky, as he showed me the real character of Dhaka. From our communications via Trip-Advisor, pick-up at my hotel and journeying via private car and rickshaw, the colors, sights and tastes of the city came alive.
I was lucky to arrive on a holiday so the infamous Dhaka traffic was barely noticeable as Rocky took me to see the Louis Kahn designed Parliament House, the old Armenian Church, Hindu Temples, Universities as well as a slow jaunt up the Burigunga River. Our lunch was a spread of Bangali dishes, which far surpassed the food I had during the remainder of the trip.
Rocky's spirit, knowledge and open mindedness was instrumental in gaining an insider's view to this future leading city of the Indo-Pacific. Cholo Bangladesh!

I just did a day trip of Dhaka with Rocky and it is hands down the only way to see the city. From booking to the tour itself everything was perfect, and you literally won't find a friendlier or more accommodating person than Rocky.
Rocky took me to some great spots and I got to experience the history, culture and food of Bangladesh. A lot of these places you would not be able to go to buy yourself and Rocky tailored everything to my interests. The lunch stop was particularly good and you won't go hungry doing a tour with Rocky.
Don't be put off visiting Bangladesh it is an amazing country full of amazing sights and friendly people.

Of all countries I've visited, Bangladesh- Dhaka in particular- left a great impression on me largely because of my experience with Cholo Bangladesh Tours. Being a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and secure touring with Rocky. Not that I felt unsafe at any point of my visit but Rocky made sure it was an all around pleasant experience for me in his native country.
I opted for the Highlights of Dhaka, or what I like to call the Heritage Tour of Dhaka, and saw many facets of the city from the historical sites and the culinary side of Bangladesh. We started our tour in Old Dhaka, meandering through the oldest part of Dhaka to see the Jagganath University, the Pink Palace (Ahsan Manzil), Dhaka University & Curzon Hall, Shahid Minar Martyrs Monument; we even crossed the Buriganga river on the infamous sampan! Lalbagh Fort was also in the itinerary but because of its closure on the day of my visit, we didn't manage to get in.
Over and above these sites, Rocky also guided me on the traditional Bengali food I could sample. And sample I did! There were numerous street food you could try on your way between attractions. For instance: lacchi, chitai pitha, shingara, puri, beguni, chop, jilapi, chotpoti and my favourite, fuchka! I will not divulge here what these finger foods are because I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise for when you come visit with Cholo Bangladesh : ) Also, the Bangladeshi biryani is by far the best biryani I've ever tasted in my life! Trust Rocky, he'll know where to bring you for this too!
Bottom line is, I highly recommend tours by Rocky of Cholo Bangladesh Tour because nothing beats experiencing a city with a local by your side. Rocky has been more than a guide to me and more like a friend. He is genuine in his approach and he always does his best to give you the best. He's very passionate about his city (and country) and it is his mission to show the best of this to as many people as he can. I've been to many countries and Bangladesh now sits very high in my list of top favourite countries visited.

I’m from the UK was was only going to be in Dhaka for a short while so looked into a city tour. Rocky from Cholo Bangladesh Tours answered my emails and queries quickly and efficiently. So I decided to go with this tour company. I was a bit surprised that the company wanted a deposit - via Western Union - and it made me a little suspicious, but I paid it and when I eventually met Rocky, the owner, on the day of my tour, he explained that the deposit was because a client in the past had wanted to book a train journey, which Rocky’s company paid for. Then the client cancelled leaving Cholo Bangladesh Tours out of pocket. So I can understand the need for this security deposit.
Anyway, the tour was great. Rocky was knowledgable, friendly and professional. His driver was also great. We saw forts, temples, traffic and I went on a boat trip across the river. This was the highlight of the trip for me.
Cholo Bangladesh Tours are highly recommend.

Hello, we are two architects from China and our main interest in visiting Dhaka is to visit the parliament building. We submitted the application about one month ago but did not hear back from them.
