Very moving tour. The tour guide was really passionate and shared lots of his local knowledge. Well organised and sufficient time allowed throughout the trip to see everything.

If visiting Phnom Penh…it’s a must see visit.

Such a difficult and distressing experience finding out about Cambodia’s sad history but definitely one that we feel you have to do if you visit Cambodia.
Our guide Baboon was friendly and so knowledgeable and sensitive to the feelings of us and our fellow travellers. His account of his family’s experience was both shocking and poignant.
We just cannot believe how such awful atrocities could have been committed against fellow men.
Baboon still managed to make us smile and entertain us though and he was just the right measure of humour and respect. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Great experience

Exploring this history was truly impactful and moving. The depth of the narrative and the personal connection offered a unique perspective. Learning about these events felt both educational and profoundly meaningful. It's important to remember and reflect upon these stories. A very sad but informative and necessary tour to understand Cambodia's history

I knew that this tour would be a difficult glimpse into a very dark history for Cambodia's people but it was necessary for me as part of my travels through this country, to understand what they went through and how the country has and continues to recover. Mr Baboon, the tour guide, not only gave us the facts and figures associated with the mass genocide under the Khmer Rouge regime, detailing how the country came to fall under the influence of the Communist party but he also shared some personal family stories and made sure that we were all well looked after throughout the tour. I am very humbled and impressed by the Cambodian peoples strength and courage and resolve after such a dark time in their history and would encourage anyone to go on this tour. I think it's a vital part of visiting Cambodia to understand their history and my thanks and heart go out to Mr Baboon and his people and family who continue to share their stories and welcome anyone who wants to understand how far they have come.

Cannot recommend enough

Our guide Mr. Baboon told us everything there is to know about the dark side of Cambodian history. He was able to talk about these horrific things in a very respectful way.

A must visit

A memorable morning visiting the two sites. Our guide was good and tried to explain everything although I did find it difficult to understand his English and he would start talking about things before everyone was in reach, so we missed a lot of what he was trying to tell us, which is the whole point of paying for a guide..
He was enthusiastic and clearly knowledgeable on the subject.

Excellent, educational and professionally delivered tour Tour

Our guide today was Sum Cheath who proved to be a very knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic and passionate guide with family links to his subject which enabled him speak with 1st hand knowledge rather than learned.
A truly informative and humbling four hours.

Heartbreaking and Insightful

This tour was so heartbreaking but our tour guide Mr.Baboon gave great insight in a respectful way into the history of the Genocide in Cambodia, also telling the history of his own family in the process. I enjoyed learning about this but be prepared to be heartbroken 😢

A wonderful insight into the devastating recent history of the Khmer Rouge genocide!

Our trip to the killing fields and S-21 today was amazing, it was so heartbreaking and chilling to learn about and discover in detail the devastating recent history of the Cambodian people and the suffering they endured. Our tour guide, Baboon, was the best! He was so knowledgable and shared some of his family’s personal experience with us which was all the more raw. Baboon also recommended a lunch place for us after the tour and the food was incredible! 10/10 would recommend, a must do when in Phnom Penh.
