Great Colombo Tour

Overall, we had a great time in Colombo. We arrived by cruise and this particular bus was not allowed to pick us up at disembarkation, so we had to ride a shuttle to the entrance of the terminal. There was a little bit of miscommunication concerning this. Also, this is not a car/private tour, it's a small group riding on a small bus. The tour itself was great. Our guide Dhan did an amazing job taking us to the must-see spots in Colombo. He was very courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating and even helped our group stop at a bank to get cash out for shopping. Our driver was a safe driver and maneuvered through the city with ease.

Beautiful!

We were picked up from our ship, and had a fabulous day in Colombo, with so much to see and do, it was a small bus of around 12 people and our driver and guide were happy for to request photos stops as needed. Brilliant day, with many happy memories to take home to NZ ( we have suggested that the correspondence via whatsapp should you know to make your way out to the main terminal gates, as we wasted a bit of time to work this out, ended up phoning the whatspp number when couldn't find the group)

A good tour company which maintains North American standards

Apple Vacations is a large company which communicates well and keeps its promises. They provided the four of us with a comfortable, air conditioned van with a driver and a certified English-speaking tour guide. The cost for 4 hours was about $27 USD per person which was far cheaper than a similar tour offered by our cruise ship. We saw all the same attractions but were not herded around like a bunch of sheep as on the cruise ship's bus. We learned a lot about the history and culture of Sri Lanka and had a chance to ask lots of questions. Moreover, we did not have to put up with the aggressive, dishonest way that the local taxi and tuk tuk drivers treat their passengers. We would highly recommend Apple Vacations' tours.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Apple Vacations! It's great to hear that the company delivered on its promises and provided excellent communication throughout your tour. The comfortable, air-conditioned van, along with a driver and certified English-speaking tour guide, sounds like a convenient and enjoyable way to explore Sri Lanka. The fact that the cost was significantly cheaper than a similar tour offered by your cruise ship is certainly a bonus. It's wonderful that you were able to visit all the same attractions without feeling like part of a large group being herded around. The personalized experience and the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the history and culture of Sri Lanka must have made the tour even more memorable. Additionally, avoiding the aggressive and dishonest behavior often associated with local taxi and tuk-tuk drivers is definitely a relief. Apple Vacations' tours seem to provide a reliable and trustworthy alternative. Based on your glowing recommendation, it's clear that Apple Vacations' tours left a lasting positive impression on you and your companions. Excellent day out

Our driver Jamir picked us up from the Port Gate, in a car, air con. He was straight away so friendly and we spent a informative day with him in Columbo. He was very knowledgable and a truly great guy
Would recommend this to anyone much better than the ships trips what we heard when we got back. Many Thanks
