I got that tour as a Birthday present from a good friend. So we met Nim (our guide) in Colombo, went to different local food places and tried typical Sri Lankan food, incl. Tamil food. We really loved it. Had good conversations and a very good company together. Afterwards we went to a pub together and had a funny night ;-) On the next day we met again at a market to buy all ingredients to try to cook curries, Rotti and Sambol ourselves. Was so awesome.
I highly recommend this Tour and cooking classes. Thx Nim for this wonderful experience.

It was an awesome tour with lots of different food. Everything was included and you can also suggest food that you would like to try. It was only me who booked the tour for the evening and as a female traveller I felt safe and taken good care of. My guide was really polite and we had some nice conversations since he was really nice and his English was fine. It was a perfect tour to start my travels in Sri Lanka, to get an introduction to the local cuisine by a local and the best way to get to see the major sights of Colombo. Highly recommend!

Our excellent food tour was good preparation for the rest of our holiday. We started at 4.00 pm, by which time it was getting cooler and we enjoyed walking around the Cinnamon Gardens area calling in at various eating establishments. The cashew curry and pittu was our favorite. Finally we ended up at Galle Face Park and the lively beach where families were eagerly eating cottu and other delights. Our guide, Neem, was very informative and caring.

Excellent pre visit communication from our guide Nim who met us promptly where agreed.
We spent a wonderful 5 hours with Nim, who was funny, friendly, humble and knowledgeable.
We booked this on our 2nd day in Sri Lanka and it gave us a great insight into the place, the people and their culture.
Nim took us on a wonderful walking tour of several proper Sri Lankan restaurants and cafes to sample food and drink of the region. We also visited a vegetable market and ended up on Galle Face Green at the pop up street stalls.
We walked quite a long way but he was also happy to call on tuk tuks if you had enough of walking.
I highly recommend this experience and Nim - book it, you will be very happy that you did!

Voor mijn laatste dagen in Sri Lanka had ik besloten om Colombo te verkennen d.m.v. een foodtour. Achteraf de perfecte manier gebleken. Nim is een geweldige tourhost die veel kon vertellen over de stad en het land. En natuurlijk over het eten. Veel lokale tentjes bezocht en veel gegeten. Zo ook bijvoorbeeld de Dutch Burgher Union (Nederlands tintje). Hier serveren ze overigens geen burgers, maar heerlijke rijstgerechten (en probeer zeker ook de gingerbeer!). Ook leuk was het bezoekje aan de universiteit waar we tussen de studenten mee aten.
De dag werd afgesloten met een Lion biertje in de pub. Fantastische dag. Bedankt Nim!

The tour guide, the activities, the place, the food, and the people - everything is great! The trip itinerary was interesting and organized. Our tour guide has in-depth knowledge and very patient in answering our questions. I’m thankful for the new food experiences.

Fantastic Experience. Excellent guide, wide varieties of food and we loved seeing the neighborhoods too. By the end of the tour I was beyond full. Thank you Nim, you deserve the highest-rated. we will definitely meet you again if we are in Sri Lanka.

We booked the morning tour with Nim. Every single food item we tasted was fantastic. Nim has really done a great job of selecting a great variety of foods and places to make sure that his guests are getting only the best. Thank you so much for giving this lovely experience on our first day. I can't recommend this highly enough...!!!

While in Colombo, my husband and I did a food tour with the Rustic team. We stopped several places and there are more than 17 bites for each person. Tour was full of educational, fun and delicious. Nim is super lovely and We feel like we have a new friend in Colombo!

It was an excellent decision to join this tour. I actually wished I went on the tour on my first day instead of my last day in Sri Lanka. But i feel now I have almost completed the Food task in Sri Lanka. This was a great insight and our guide, Nim, has a fabulous knowledge about everything. We had a lovely evening chatting and sampling different types of food. I can't say enough about how terrific this tour was. Thank you Nim, you are a fantastic foodie!
