We loved the tour with Nim and have felt more comfortable ordering food during the rest of our stay in Colombo. We loved hearing about the history of Sri Lanka and how this has influenced the food. The only thing I would recommend doing differently would be to include a sweet/dessert option.

This was a fantastic experience. I have been coming to Sri-Lanka for years and never eaten Jack fruit curry, I am now addicted. There was a lot of food I had not eaten. The tea tasting was educational as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nim was an excellent guide and cooking instructor. I had an absolutely mazing experience! I’m a professional chef myself and learned about so many new techniques, spices, aromatics and traditional cooking. He was a wonderful host in his kitchen and really enjoyed learning about this beautiful country and customs.
I highly recommend attending a tour and class. You won’t be disappointed!

Couldn’t recommend this enough- Nim was an amazing guide who was so knowledgeable about the city, the history and culture and all the food!
we ate SO much there was a great variety of food. Don’t make our mistake and eat lunch before hand- there is so much food to try.
We only had 2 days in Colombo and this is the best way to see it through the expertise of a local

If you do a tour tour in Sri Lanka look no further and book it with Rustic food Tour. It was one of the best food tours I've ever made. As I was already a few days in Sri Lanka I've tried a lot of traditional food already, so Nim (my Giude) adapted the tour and let me try food that i never had. There was no rushing, high quality places, fun conversations.

Rustic food tour with guide Nim. Thoroughly recommended. There were only 3 of us so it felt very personal. The food quality was good, with a wide range of Sri Lankan dishes. Communication was excellent. We were flagging a bit towards the end as we had just arrived that morning and jet lag was kicking in .

Amazing tour! I did it with a friend and we really enjoyed eating a lot, talking a lot and learning a lot from our wonderful guide. The foods were one of the best I’ve tried on my month long trip to Sri Lanka. Nim really knows his stuff!! And I wish I had more time I would totally do this trip again. A must do!!!

Great cultural experience. Num the guide part owns the business and has an in depth knowledge of Sri Lankan food an it's place in Sri Lankan history and culture. Relaxed fun and educational. Well planned starting at the fresh produce markets then to street snacks through to fairly high end. Great intro to SL.

We had a very pleasant evening in Columbo Sri Lanka with our fantastic tour guide, Nim.
He took us on a culinary and cultural adventure. We experienced street food, Sri Lankan curry, Tamil food, picnic food in an old Dutch Burgher house and Ceylon tea in a tea house.
Nim was so informative and passionate about his country and it’s food and provided us with great photos and memories.
