Mr. Taha is excellent. Everything were immaculately planned and the tour guides Mr. Sarder and Mr. Yousuf were both courteous, knowledgeable with good English. Would certainly go back to South East Turkey again for some more site visits like Mardin, Nemrut, Gaziantep with Mr. Taha and his team.

We had an absolutely amazing time with Taha! Every step of the experience was a pleasure and we are so glad we went. If you've been eyeing this experience and are considering it, GO! It was so worth it.
We did a 2 day tour coming from Istanbul to Sanliurfa. Taha organized everything, including drivers to pick us up from our hotel, flights, the tours themselves, and a lovely hotel in Sanliurfa. Working with him was truly a pleasure and worry-free. Highly recommend other visitors try this tour! Great value for a truly unforgettable experience.
Our experience started with an early pickup from Istanbul. We then took a short flight to Sanliurfa. Taha picked us up at the airport and we went directly to Gobekli Tepe, which was breathtaking to see in person. Seeing the site live was so rewarding, and Taha shared a lot of insights into the site and local area that went beyond what I had read about and truly helped us understand the context of it. After Gobekli Tepe we went to see historic Sanliurfa, including having lunch at a great local restaurant, tea in the market, and seeing other local historic sites like the pond of Abraham. We then checked into our hotel, which was very comfortable, clean, and had a great breakfast the following morning! The next day we met another guide, Yusuf, who was also very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. We mentioned an interest in Armenian history, so we stopped at some local churches. We then took a river tour around the Euphrates and visited the city of Harran.
Throughout our tour, we loved:
- How knowledgeable and helpful the guides were. They shared lots of great insights into the area, and answered all questions we had, from history to culture. If they didn't know all of the answers right away, they followed up with more helpful information, which was great. They shared lots of local insights that we wouldn't have been able to get from just reading about the area, giving us a much deeper perspective.
- How seamless the journey was, since Taha helped set everything up. We didn't need to worry about knowing where to go (hotels, restaurants, etc.) in an unfamiliar area, because Taha and Yusuf provided great recommendations. Transportation was fully taken care of it, and when issues arose, they quickly helped us resolve them (for example, our suitcase ripped when packing, so Yusuf helped us find a good place to purchase new ones).
- How customizable our experience was. We coordinated with Taha ahead of time to select the things we wanted to do, and he further customized the tour while we were there to follow our interests.
- There was a good mix of time with the guides, and some time to explore on our own with suggestions on where to go to make the most of our trip.
- DELICIOUS food!
- Lovely, comfortable hotel.
- We felt very safe the whole time. We had some concern ahead of visiting, but we felt safe once arriving and found the guides and all of the people we encountered to be incredibly kind and friendly. No issues with safety at all.
- Wonderful sights, overall a breathtaking experience that gave us a much deeper understanding of history.
- This was our first time in Turkey (coming from the US), and we spent the rest of our time in Istanbul. This was a great way to get out of the main city and see a side of Turkey we wouldn't have otherwise been exposed to.
Not so great was:
- Our flight back to Istanbul was delayed 5 hours due to an airplane issue. This was NOT at all the fault of Taha or this tour, but was unpleasant nonetheless. Taha was highly communicative with us throughout.
- We wish we had done a 3 day tour instead of a 2 day one! There is so much more to see in the area, and the experience was so great, we wish we had extended for longer. We plan to be back!

My name is Pedro, I’m from Argentina and this was my second trip to Turkey (this time with my family).

I was decided to go to GobekliTepe as I missed it last time and it is one of the most significant historical sites in the word, if not the most, as is seems (so far) to be the starting point of human civilization (an 11.600 year old temple, older than any other megalithic construction found so far).
Estaba decidido a visitar GobekliTepe ya que no pude verlo en el viaje anterior y es uno de los sitios históricos más importantes del mundo, sino el más importante, puesto que (hasta ahora) parece ser el punto de partida de la civilización humana (es un templo de 11.600 años de antigüedad, anterior a cualquier otra construcción megalítica encontrada hasta la fecha).
However, it was difficult to organize from argentina and I did not find good options in Spanish; I speak a some English so, with Taha’s -who speaks English perfectly- help and patience I was able to share all the info with my travel companions.
Sin embargo, fue muy difícil organizarlo desde argentina y no encontré buenas opciones en castellano; yo hablo algo de inglés así que con ayuda y paciencia de Taha (que habla perfectamente inglés) pude transmitir toda la información a mis compañeros de viaje.
I ended up finding the website of Gobekli Tours and saw a few good reviewes in the usual travel websites/apps.
Finalmente encontré la web de Gobekli Tours y vi unas pocas reseñas positivas en las webs/apps comunes para viajes.
I contacted them (hesitantly I admit) and after a few email exchanges and text messages everithing was organized. They took care of transfers, airplane tickets (round trip from Istambul), personalized tour according to our priorities, entry fees, etc.
Los contacté (con alguna duda, lo reconozco) y luego de unos pocos mails y mensajes te texto todo estaba organizado. Se ocuparon de todo, transfers, vuelos (ida y vuelta desde Istambul), recorrido personalizado de acuerdo con nuestras prioridades, entradas, etc.
After our visit (full payment made), he even contacted me to make sure we did not have any trouble finding our transfer back to the hotel in Istambul.
Terminada la visita y habiendo ya pagado todo, incluso se comunicó con nosotros para asegurarse de que no tuvimos problemas con el transfer del aeropuerto a nuestro hotel en Estambul.
Everithing went exactly according to plan (if you traveled the región you’ll know how rare that is) and every aspect of our visit exceeded our expectations.
Todo fue exactamente como nos dijo que sería (si viajaste por la región, sabrás lo inusual que es eso) la visita supero nuestras expectativas en todos los sentidos.
I usually do not take the time to write reviews but we are so greatfull to Taha that I decided to post this, which id absolutely heartfelt.

Dealing with Taha from the beginning in an email to a totally magical experience that I have been waiting for for 40 years was smooth , engaging . It’s nothing short of perfection. Taha is not only knowledgeable and an excellent communicator of that knowledge, but is also exceedingly flexible, responsive and responsible.
Perhaps what says it most in terms of how my partner and I felt is that we are now returning in April for a two week tour that we have planned out and will be guided by Taha.

Taha took us to both Gobeklitepe and Karahan tepe as well as Mt. Nemrut an Sanliurfa for an incredible trip. He was a thorough guide that showed us everything we wanted to see...thanks Taha!

Trip to the ruins just after sunrise with no one else there was magical. Museum and lunch in town were very special as was a stroll around the fountains of Abraham. Taha looked after my 86yo mother and me from start to finish. The whole experience from arranging the day, flights and transportation as well as guiding us around all the sites. Could easily have spent a week in that fascinating part of the world. Felt entirely safe throughout.

Taha was an excellent tour guide to Göbeklitepe and Karahan Tepe. He was very knowledgeable of both sights. As an American I can recommend him for a safe and comfortable experience. These areas are extremely interesting and an experience of a lifetime.

Amazing experience. Taha’s vast and extensive knowledge was shared with us throughout the entire tour, documenting every stop along the way. He took care of us and willing to help with any personal request.
