The tour was fantastic because of Hatice's energy, enthusiasm and knowledge. I highly recommend it.
Fener and Balat are very interesting areas of Istanbul that take you beyond the core Sultanahmet quarter, where you get a glimpse into the life of the Greek, Jewish and Orthodox people under the Otoman rule. Hatice brought all that to life, she is a wonderful storyteller.
In addition, she answered a lot of questions we had about Istanbul in general, and recommended great places and dishes to eat. She also was available to answer questions after the tour. She is passionate, and her love of Istanbul obvolious and contagious.

The tour was made memorable by the enthusiasm and knowledge of our guide Kubra. She explained in detail the rich and diverse history and heritage of Fener- Balat and. we were exposed to many little known facts. We took many photographs of the monuments and colorful buidings that make these areas so unique! Our Thanks to Kubra!

Kubra was our host today and was absolutely wonderful. Her enthusiasm and love of her homeland made the day so much more interesting and we learnt a lot about the history of the area and Turkey in general. I would highly recommend this tour.

Does the tour include entry to and any time inside the Ahrida synagogue? Or is the experience instead limited to a walk by the outside off the synagogue?
