I booked this trip for me and my partner as she had never rode a camel. I thought the 2 hr camel ride and meal sounded like a great way to experience Eilat’s beautiful landscape and try something new. I was extremely disappointed that the camel ride was only 30 minutes and that’s being generous on the time since I didn’t have a timer going. We HAD to sit side saddled instead of straddled over the camel which is veryyyy uncomfortable. When I’ve rode a camel in the past, we straddled the camel like a horse. When i asked why we had to ride in this uncomfortable way, the guide said it was to prevent us from falling which makes no sense, riding side straddled is the easiest way to fall. Even if we had rode the camels for 30+ minutes the back pain we would have to deal with would not have been worth it. And I’m a 28 year old in perfect health. All the riders on my trip felt similarly and would try to put one hand at the back the saddle to alleviate the awkwardness of the ride but we were informed we couldn’t do that either. We walked about a mile past the parking lot and turned back around. The guide took a few pictures using our phones and then we were back at camp.
The cheese plate and bread were done nicely. Certainly not worth the price of the excursion though. I would recommend the Negev camel ranch instead for a true camel ride experience.

While it was a fun experience, we were disappointed to only have 1/2 an hour camel ride instead of a full hour as advertised. Also, one of the camels in our group got angry for some reason and tried to buck its rider off. We were glad we didn't get that one!
