From the Israel side I would rate this 2 stars. From the Jordanian side I’d rate this 5 stars. Luckily we’re in Jordan most of the time! In Israel we were left at the border with minimal instruction and we had to figure it out on our own. Here are instructions for future travelers with this tour group!
Once you arrive at the border to go from Israel to Jordan, you will enter the offices they instruct you to go into. From there there are two lines: the one to the right is for Israeli citizens only, and the one to the left is where you go to pay your Israeli exit fee and also exchange currency to Jordanian Dinar (I suggest NOT to exchange here since there will be another opportunity to exchange from the Jordan side; for example the exchange rate here would get you 88% whereas the exchange rate on the Jordan side will give you 96% so it’s your call; the tour guide pays the fees first to the Jordanian government and then he collects the fees on the bus from the travelers after you guys have started the tour). After you pay your fee with credit card or cash, make a 180 and you will see two machines just like the ones you saw arriving at the Tel Aviv airport. Scan your passport face down and you will receive a border ticket. With the receipt from the border exit fee, border ticket from the passport machine and your actual passport you can proceed to the guy at the kiosk that verifies your documents. From there you are done!
Now comes the actual tour part. Absolutely no complaints. The tour guide was amazing, food was all buffet style and also amazing, Petra was amazing, and the two extra stops were amazing too. The Bedouin style hotel was incredible and a unique experience. You get more buffet dinner and breakfast and then lounge in a big hall where they play live music and serve hot (very) sweet tea. Return to the Jordanian border was seamless.
The return back to the Israeli side was actually surprisingly quick. All of our tour group made it back across quickly without any hitches. We arrive to find no bus waiting for us. We called and they said the bus was already there. Then we searched all across the compound and the bus was not there. We would call again and no answer. The bus arrived maybe 30-45 minutes later. Some proper communication on the Israeli side would’ve been nice!

Abbiamo partecipato al tour di 2 giorni da Gerusalemme alla fantastica Petra , la guida Ali' e l'autista Mustafa' ,entrambi giordani ,sono stati professionali disponibili e simpatici.
L'unico neo e' stata proprio l'organizzazione da parte du Abraham tour: ci hanno mandato una mail 12 ore prima del tour per dirci che non avevano disponibilità di stanze superior(per noi fondamentale perché hanno il bagno in camera) al campo tentato, però hanno preso la prenotazione ed il pagamento senza dure niente. Quando abbiamo chiesto spiegazioni ci hanno rimpallato da un operatore all'altro e nessuno ne sapeva niente. Avevamo anche chiesto la cortesia di tornare su Tel Aviv,prima in forse,poi la certezza che si poteva fare alla fine un adetto di Abraham al confine è stato maleducato, ha addirittura attaccato il telefono ad un passeggero anziano che chiedeva spiegazioni. Il tour di Petra è faticoso fatto in due giorni ma ne vale la pena, Abraham tour ci ha delusi , poca organizzazione e disponibilità.

Die Tour ist kurz und sehr straff, in Petra wären wir gerne nicht im Laufschritt zurück gelaufen um den Bus zu erreichen, aber dafür kann Abraham nichts. Wir hatten eben nur 2 Tage und die waren perfekt genutzt. Auch sind wir in der Regel keine Bustouristen, aber individuell mit Mietwagen geht von Jerusalem aus eben nicht. Die Übernachtung im Camp und die gebotenen Malzeiten übertrafen unsere Erwartungen, der Grenzübergang war so gut als möglich organisiert, auf ein gewisses Chaos sollte man jedoch gefasst sein. Fahrer und Guide waren freundlich und professionell. Einziger Minuspunk: Bei der Rückfahrt warteten wir auf israelischer Seite 1h auf einen weiteren Bus der noch auf jordanischer Seite erwartet wurde. Der kam dann auch, aber der Fahrer wartete nicht auf alle Gäste. Dafür gibt es eine Notfallnummer aber das wäre vermeidbar gewesen.

Petra is fantastic! But only one morning from the two days trip. Tent was smelling bad and food should improve. But walking through the place you forget about everything and enjoy the beautiful Treasure and monastery.

This is a amazing trip a must do the best way to see it. The trip starts meeting at the Abraham's hostel where they take you to the border transfer be patient with it and your driver picks you up right where you exit to take you into jordan for your road trip to Petra with stops for side excursions or snacks. The camp is amazing at night puts the feel of glamorous camping in the desert. The morning starts with Petra our guid Hamdi made sure we had time to soak it all in and get the most of it amazing get your pictures with the camels and walk down. The way up stop in the museum for 30 min it's worth it. The drive back is just like the drive there. The border crossing was a cluster and members with luggage got tied up. The bus driver was very kind to wait thank you.

Petra is a truly incredible place and a must-see for every traveler in this part of the world.
Our guide, Ali, was awesome—providing us with just the right amount of information about Jordan and Petra, but not inundating us with facts. He super insightful and funny, too.
Overall, the structure of the tour was great. Would have been great to have just another hour or two there, as you are a bit against the clock, but you will have time to see all the main sites. Meals and accommodations at the Bedouin camp were fab.
Main recommendation for Abraham Tours would be to review the border crossing procedure a bit more with participants. It is long, chaotic, and confusing both exiting and entering Israel, and it would have been nice to have a better understanding of how it works (they give you a print out, but some things on it were only relevant for the 3-day tour, not us).
Otherwise, would totally recommend!

L’excursion de deux jours en Jordanie était très intéressante. Notre guide Ali était super ! Il connaît bien les lieux et il a une grande connaissance historique. Le voyage se fait avec deux cars, un car qui vous amène jusqu’à la frontière et un autre qui vous reprend du côté Jordanien. L’accueil du côté Jordanien était super ce qui n’était pas vraiment le cas du côté d’Israël.
Je vous recommande de prendre une tenue chaude pour la nuit.

Border crossing was a breeze, I was very apprehensive traveling into Jordan, but it was super fast.
At all time our guide and the bus driver were directing us in the right direction. I never felt alone or unprotected.
Petra archeological site is amazing, while the "treasury" is movie famous is only one building in a huge city. We walk close to 10 miles and we couldn't see it all. We went over the mountain to get to the Treasury overlook and that trail took to much time, instead of looking twice at the same building go to the Monastery or tray ti visit more.
If you can stay longer.

Petra took our breath away. Petra was my sister and my bucket list destination. Yes, we were a fairly big group of 37 but our Jordanian guide and driver made it so easy for us. Abdallah, our guide was efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and really took the time to explain facts and unknown tidbits, you will be lucky to have him as your guide to Petra. Jamal our driver was kind and kept us safe, my sister who is prone to motion sickness during rides did not experience any of that because Jamal made sure that our bus ride was smooth.
Both Jamal and Abdullah took care of our big group.
I highly recommend this tour organization and specially our Jordanian guide and driver. They made us feel comfortable and well cared for.

We did this trip in July 2019 and there were no issues as far as tension or political unrest. You will see teenage soldiers carrying machine guns everywhere in public, which is a little disconcerting at first, but you will eventually get used to it. The only snafu we encountered was that the high speed train from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem was shut down because neither presidential candidate had a coalition to control the government and thus funding was not available to run the train. But the political situation in Israel, Palestine, the West Bank, and Jordan is volatile and can change at any time, so you should be always be aware of current events and be on guard.

If you are interested in anything more than seeing Amman from the van while driving through on the highway, then this tour is not for you. There is also a cursory 20 minute pit stop at a highway rest stop, which gives you enough time to stretch your legs, use the restroom, pick up cash at the ATM, and grab some snacks and water while the van fills up with gas. The main focus of this excursion is Petra, so if you want to explore Amman, you should probably search for a different tour. I don’t know if it can be arranged that you spend an extra day in Amman, but if it could, the only way it would make sense would be for you to fly from Tel Aviv to Amman one day ahead of time, and meet the van at the highway rest stop. However, if you do that, you will have missed a buffet lunch and 90 minute tour of the Roman ruins of Jerash, which takes place prior to arriving in Amman. Good luck and have a great trip. Yo estuve buscando tanto desde Jerusalén como de Tel Aviv pero para la de dos días no encontré. La tomé en inglés y pues ahí medio le fui entendiendo; sin embargo los guías son tan accesibles que me dedicaban tiempo hablando despacito, jejejej. Realmente no me fue incómodo.
Toma en cuenta que contrata un guía para ti solo o para dos allá en Petra es posible, pero el costo no lo es, te saldrá caro

Where are you staying? The hostel is not far to walk from most locations in Jerusalem. There will be no public transit it if you arrange a taxi in advance you should be ok. We had to arrange a taxi during Shabbat to go to airport. It’s best to arrange through one of the tour guides as they will know someone or ask a family friend and they won’t rip you off.
