The logistics of this tour is terrible. We were picked up from the David Citadel Hotel at 3am. We arrived at the border crossing at 6:30am. The driver didn’t speak English. He dropped us off and left us there (a group of about 10 people) with no instructions of what to do. The border did not open until 8am so we waited there in the cold until this person showed up. Someone from the group complained and he blamed it on the time change that night. A lame excuse basically. By the time we boarded the tour bus in Jordan it was 10am. A lot of wasted time on the border crossing. Only 1 person attending to like 100 people after all the different tour groups showed up. After this mess, the rest of the tour is good because Wadi Rum and Petra are magnificent places that need to be seen. I was sorry for the people doing the 1 day tour to Petra. They get 4 hours, if that much, in Petra and 16 hours in the bus and in the border. The return was just as bad if not worse. From Petra, their logistics is to drive down 2 hours to the southern border and then, after the border crossing, drive 4 more hours north to Jerusalem. We were told to be at the tour office to get on the bus at 4pm on the last day. We arrived in Jerusalem at midnight. If I were to go back, I would find some other way to avoid the travel ordeal that this company puts you through. I’m sure there are better ways to do it

The tour IN Jordan was fabulous. Our guide Madhi was pleasant, attentive, and informative. The accommodations were very cool! However, I would never recommend Abraham tours because of the border crossing situation. They sent an email the night before the tour telling you that you cross the Allenby border (Palestinian area) without assistance and they give instructions how to get back to Jerusalem on your own if you get detained. Gee thanks! They put you on a bus without an employee/guide or English speaking driver. Took 3 hours to get across the border! On return, it was worse. We got separated from the group by the Israel officials. Even though we were talking to them and texting them that we were headed to them and less than 1 minute away, they left us! Took us 3 hours to get back on our own. I have screen shots documenting they left while we were walking to them, they don’t apologize and said they told the driver to leave us. They were to reimburse us for the shared transportation back, in the confusion, I didn’t get the receipt. Even though they know exactly what it cost, they won’t reimburse us. I’ve never heard of such horrible tour service and response. BE WARNED AND BE PREPARED TO BE SCREWED

Wow, that is the only word to explain this tour. First day we crossed the border traveled to Mount Nebo and saw the mosaic artists at work and enjoyed a traditional lunch with the day ending at a Bedouin camp sleeping in a tent. Day 2 we visited Petra with a morning guided tour to the Treasury and lunch. That afternoon we took a donkey ride to the Monastery followed by a tour of the palaces and a horse ride back to the gate. Don’t skip the donkey ride or the horse ride once in a lifetime experiences. Then a final night at the Bedouin camp with a traditional dinner. Day 3 travel the Kings Highway to Wadi Rum see this unique land from a four wheel drive tour and take 20 minute camel ride finish with a Bedouin lunch and back to Jerusalem. I can’t say enough good things about this tour it was wonderful. Do it you won’t regret it.

We did the 3 Day Petra / Wadi Rum tour and left from Tel Aviv. The tour guide in Jordan, Abdullah, was amazing and super informative. He did a wonderful job.
The service from Abraham Tours was absolutely terrible. They refuse to answer emails or WhatsApp messages before our trip when I was trying to confirm our rooms. We got to Jordan and we were assigned the wrong room. I tried to talk to them about it on WhatsApp and someone told me they would follow up and then just ignored me for the rest of the trip. I paid extra for a specific room and they refused any kind of partial refund. The itinerary they give you once on the trip does not match the one from the Abraham Tours app so you will miss out on a few major sites. The driver from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv on the way back was not friendly at all and was driving erratically while talking on the phone the entire way back. Abraham Tours also threatens to leave you at the Jordan border if you take too long cleaning border control so you feel rushed and stressed the entire time trying to get back into Israel.
I would absolutely love to go back to Jordan again and see more but I would take a different tour than Abraham.

First of all Petra is a must, a beautiful and enormous site.
1. The 5 hour distance from Jerusalem to Petra turns into an almost 12 hour drive due to the several pit stops in souvenirs stores (with toilets) “inviting” you to buy.
2. Our guide, Ali, has poor customer service skills. An example: notwithstanding the fact that he has a designated seat in the bus, he instructed us to move from the front passenger seats because he found his seat uncomfortable. At all times he treated us as if we were high school students in a tour of Jordan with our teacher. Not a pleasant attitude.
3. The Bedouin Camp in Petra is quite uncomfortable, the tents offered by the Trip Advisor Website have no private bathrooms. Bathrooms are shared with over 40 people and there are probably no more than 5 showers and 5 toilets. Hot water starts running at 6 am, as breakfast, and we needed to be in the bus by 7 am. Ali, our guide, informed 15 minutes before arrival that there were 3 types of rooms. Luxury bubbles with bathrooms and heating devices, cabins with heating and baths and last but not least tents with shared toilets and showers. He laughed and said we were all in tents. I tried to make an upgrade but was told that upgrades were only possible if reservations were made directly through the Abraham Tours website. The experience was terrible. Walking to the toilet at night with freezing temperatures was totally unpleasant. Luckily the day after, Rashid one of the Bedouin family members got us a cabin (for an additional $140 dollars) and we could finally sleep and not freeze like the night before.

This is a must-do for anyone who wishes to visit Jordan! I absolutely enjoyed everything during the tour. Ali was an amazing guide and Anas was an incredible driver. The Bedouin campsite experience was out of this world. Food was also amazing. To top it off, the tour group was so super fun and bonded that it felt like a big family. I left Jordan with not only beautiful memories but also a group of new friends. Thank you Abraham Tours!

Don't be tempted to save a day and do the two day tour. Don't go with a different tour operator. Don't miss out. This three day tour is simply outstanding.
Ali was out guide and could not have been more caring, knowledgeable and professional. He clearly loves his country and his people, and he was so helpful in guiding us through how to be good guests and explaining the history and culture. Each day was varied with the first and the last having significant amounts of driving but broken up with stops and visiting attractions. The travel went by quickly and the coach was comfy.
The middle day was the clear highlight with a spectacular full day in Petra. Come ready to walk and hike if you want to make the most of it but it is an experience you will never forget.
I thought it might be helpful to capture a few things I wish I had known before I left.
- You don't need foreign currency before you leave. The Israeli exit fee (184ILS I think) can be paid on card and there is a cash machine and currency exchange at the Jordanian border. To pick up Dinar.
- I was a solo traveler and I took out 70 Jordanian Dollars for drinks, tips and one small gift purchase. You can easily spend more and some managed with less but it felt about right. No matter how much water you take to Petra you will inevitably need to buy some liquid during the day if it's hot. You will also want to be able to tip generously throughout and your guide will advise what is appropriate.
- The accommodation at the Bedouin Camp is out of this world. I think it changes in winter but we stayed in the 7 Wonders Bedouin Camp with warm showers, comfy beds, and incredible hosts. Some in our group had upgraded to luxury tents so contact Abraham Tours if you're interested in that. They had en suite facilities and viewing windows I think.
- Every meal was a buffet so there was always choice but honestly, every meal was outstanding.
- The borders take a bit of time to navigate but you'll get there. When you check in your bags you get given a sticker - hold on to it because you'll need it to get your bag back.
- We were back in Jerusalem at 8pm on our return. It sounds as though this varies a lot depending on the Israeli border but we sailed through.
I hope this is helpful. Overall, it is the trip of a lifetime and not to be missed. I thought it represented incredible value for money.
Big thanks to the wonderful Ali!

This was a fantastic tour and thoroughly enjoyable. It was well organized and we enjoyed the company of our fellow travelers.
The tour guide, Ali, was excellent - very knowledgeable and also warm and entertaining. He did a great job of shepherding the 18 of us in his flock and keeping us on schedule for a very busy trip. Also the driver “the second best driver “ (which we all changed to “number 1”) was excellent - we felt safe at all times. The seven wonders camp was clean, comfortable and the all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
Petra and Wadi Rum were standouts. In particular the trail up to the “monastery” at Petra is recommended but it can be pretty tiring and make sure you bring sturdy (hiking type) footwear !
Definitely recommended!

We went on the 3 day Petra tour as a family of 6 with 4 children aged 11-17. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and gaining a full day at Petra was definitely worth the cost of an extra day to go on the 3 day tour. Our guide was a fluent English speaker, very knowledgeable and really helped bring Petra and all the different sites to life. Food was buffet style, tasty and with vegetarian options. Accommodation at the Bedouin tents was good, with small rooms with a lock (not so tent like but with carpets on the walls and ceiling), central area with toilets and showers (try not to get the tents near to them), and a fire pit area for relaxing at night with some songs and tea. An amazing overall experience and value for money. Thank you Abraham Tours

you can surely arrange a transfer from the camp site, it's usually 5 Jds for the round trip, you should be at the visitors centre not later than 8:20 since the petra by night event begins at 8:30.
The event ticket price is 17 Jds, and you can buy it from the ticket booth of the visitors centre.

No Mt. Nebo is not included. The description says we visit Jerash. The 3 day tour is well worth the money. Free Jordanian visa. 2 day tour pays 60 Dinars visa fee. Extra time in Petra is until 6pm.

Reach out to Abraham Tours. They can tell how you can add a hotel to your trip. We stayed in a 4-star hotel. Our experience was good. It was near Petra, great service and excellent food. Frankly, when we traveled it was cold. The last night the electricity went out in the camp, and there was no hot water in the morning. So, our decision to stay in the hotel worked better. We had to pay for a taxi trip, JD 10, once to get back to the hotel. Other than that there was no extra cost.
