If you are looking for a Ayahuasca ceremony in LaPaz or the Amazon, I would highly recommend Sacha Runa. My wife and I did the ceremony with Julio in La Paz. The retreat centre is a beautiful place to stay overlooking the mountains. The ceremony was very professional and organised. The integration circle which Julio offered after was invaluable. His insights into the ceremony and the meanings were just as important as the visions from Mother Ayahuasca herself. The themes of other cultures like Sikhism that are integrated into the ceremony was also something special.

My time at Allkamari retreat center was nothing short of transformative. Julio, our shaman and facilitator, provided incredible guidance and protection throughout the night, creating an atmosphere of deep safety and profound magic. His wisdom and presence were truly the heart of the experience.
The retreat center itself was a sanctuary of peace, nestled amidst breathtaking views and surrounded by loving animals that added to the warm and welcoming environment. The hospitality was exceptional, making me feel at home in every way. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Wow, what an incredibly magical experience. Right off the bat, I’ve taken ayahuasca 21 times with four different facilitators/shamans and I can truly say that with Julio you are in good hands.
I did a four day retreat at Allkamari with two separate ayahuasca ceremonies and it was exactly what I needed.
My first ceremony was rough as I faced painful aspects of myself that needed to be face. It felt like hell and I suffered a lot, but thankfully, I made it through. Afterwards, Julio was able to help me integrate the experience in the integration circle. I can’t tell you how important it is to integrate your experiences. Take advantage of the circle and ask your facilitator to help you make sense of any aspects of your ceremony that you did not understand. Creating an empowering narrative for your ceremonies is critical to the healing process. Otherwise, if you adopt a negative narrative of your experience, you will simply retraumatize yourself and your ego will blame the medicine, the facilitator, the space, the other participants, and anything else it needs to blame in order to keep you distracted from facing the only one needing to be faced…you.
Fortunately, with the help of Julio, I was able to extract the lessons madre Ayahuasca was teaching me in the first ceremony. I was then able to overcome my fear of participating in the second ceremony, and I’m glad I did, because the second ceremony was transformational.
Madre Aya took me deep down into the depths of my being and showed me the difference between the pure, pristine, undisturbed, ever present presence that I am and the ever-changing mind games that the ego creates. It helped me see with crystal clarity just how attached I have been to “positive” experiences and just how resistant I’ve been of “negative” ones. As well as how to remain in the truth of unconditional awareness and simply witness all of life without judgment, how to remain as the all seeing eye.
Above all, this retreat helped me heal my relationship to God, and therefore myself. I had a lot of anger and judgment of God for allowing suffering to exist in this reality, and I felt trapped by this existential paradox. I also felt a ton of fear over the future and didn’t know if I could trust God that everything would be OK. But then I realized that only the ego can judge, only the ego can fear, and only the ego can be “trapped”. And the ego is an illusion. I have been the warden of my own prison and punishment and have blamed God for it.
Now I see that whenever I feel anger, fear, judgment, or confusion, it means that I have let myself be fooled by the ego once more. There isn’t anything to do at that point, nothing to understand, or to solve. There is only the recognition that I’ve had the wool pulled over my eyes and the surrendering the illusion through meditation to reconnect myself with the truth of my being—all abiding non-dual awareness.
If you are reading this, then you are hear for a reason, madre aya is calling you, and Sacha Runa has the potential to be a sacred space for your healing and transformation to occur.
As a final tip, I’ll say that in any ceremony, ayahuasca or not, and in life, it’s critical that you surrender. Make it your mantra. Surrender, surrender, surrender. And trust that at the other end of your process everything will make greater sense to you and you will be a much lighter, wiser soul because of it. Either that or you can go do a few years of therapy, your choice.

Truly incredible experience. Everything about it - from the ceremony, the environment, the shaman, the food, and the way integration session felt magical. 100% recommend. I plan on coming back myself!

I had a unique experience, I attended the ceremony with great faith, with the intention of healing and that was what I got immediately after taking the medicine. I will definitely do it again in the future. Thank you very much for your delivery Miguel, the ceremony itself is super special and an unforgettable experience. Many blessings

I had the privilege of participating in the Retreat organized by Shaman Miguel Kavlin, an experience that left a profound impact on me. Not only did I feel a deep sense of belonging in the serene surroundings, but I also acquired invaluable knowledge and skills in meditation and through the ceremony. This transformative practice has significantly elevated the quality of my life, guiding me towards a more positive and fulfilling path.

We had very positive experiences at this place. Miguel and his family took incredibly good care of us during all times and even invited us to eat with them in their home. In their work they uniquely blend different spiritual traditions to create the best setting for you and you can feel their credo of love, surrender and devotion in every second of interaction.
Oh, and the location is one of the most epic ones I ever saw. Uncontested!

It was my first time in a shamanic retreat I went with a lot of fear and with totally different expectations pq I didn't know what it was like. I did 3 ceremonies Wachuma, temazcal and willka as I myself said I survived and was reborn. Medicines behaved with me in a very loving and loving way making me notice where I must work that I must heal and that everything is with love 🧡 I did not do ayahuasca pq something told me that it was not my time yet and I will wait to hear that call from Grandma 👵🏼 when it is the ideal time. In All the ceremonies I felt safe q was the main thing for me, sharing experiences after each ceremony seems the best and most rewarding tb pq each story resonates with something of yours is magical 🪄 the food was rich and that q I am not vegetarian 🌱 but now I plan to consider it ... it is cold 🥶 terrible so I advise to go super warm at least in June and with several changes of clothes if you do not like the smell left after a campfire or sahumerios. Alkamari is easy to get to I went by car and super quiet the way. Thank you to the whole team for singing accompany and guide 🙏🏼 every day I highly value your strength 💪🏼 and hang on ... I don’t consider an experience for everyone I still believe that something took me there and something will make me return ... but if you feel the call is very safe with a friendly environment and full of love 🫶🏼 if you call you safely you will find what you are looking for ❣️

Beautiful ceremony at SachaRuna. I highly recommend it because of the beautiful center with incredible views, the wonderful care provided by the center, and the good quality medicine that they provide. La paz is even more special after this experience. I had my doubts before signing up but it was a wonderful ceremony. I appreciate it so much when the retreats have good quality strong medicine because it's not always the case. I also really enjoyed spending time at the center afterwards having lunch and relaxing looking at the beautiful view. Great locations for ceremonies overlooking Palca canyon.

Beautiful environment, good setting for a ceremony. I enjoyed exploring the grounds. Only critique is that the ceremony happened later than expected, but thst was because of special circumstances.
