Super Touristy but a Fun Day

I took the Spanish tour hoping my command of the language would improve. That didn't happen but Alejanda (guide) was just great. Her knowledge of Villa de Leyva and Cololmbia is vast. And she went out of her way to help me understand. Gena and everyone at Parche Cachaco Tours are the best - friendly and fun. Def people to spend 14 hours with.

Best tour of Colombia
Very nice experience. Tour guide was great and we saw the local part of Colombia. Very near architecture and rich history.

Un lugar de ensueño

Un lugar maravilloso para conectar con la tierra, la historia de Colombia, la gastronomía de la zona y la arqueología, los guías fueron muy amables y conocen mucho de la región. El transporte muy cómodo y puntual. Disfrutamos cada momento del tour tomamos fotografías espectaculares y vivimos un momento único. Todo el proceso con Parche Cachaco tours fue sencillo estuvieron siempre muy pendientes de nosotros y dispuestos a lo que necesitáramos.

We were only staying a couple of days in Colombia, through this trip we managed to have an overall history of Colombia through the village , the guide was knowledgeable and told us the history and explained the history and how is it today to live there. it was a long ride and we had a lot of time to kill. so we talked alot :) and he was never tired or fed up.

some great touches was the traditional breakfast and snack and the gift bag. this saved us lots of time thinking of the souvenir.

El trayecto es agradable con la compañía del guía que nos contó historia del mágico lugar al que nos dirigíamos, cuando llegamos, sin duda alguna es un lugar hermoso, visitamos los pozos azules, el museo arqueológico, el infiernito que es un lugar sagrado para darle fertilidad a la tierra, y la increíble casa de terracota!!! Fue un viaje muy agradable!!!

Juan was the best tour guide
We just had one of the best times of our lives in Villa de Leya with Juan our awesome tour guide. Juan is so personal honest and refreshing I feel like we are family! We started off with a wonderful tour of the town of Villa de Leyva and explaining the history of Colombia. We traveled through the countryside with many stops on the way to try local foods such as arepas and plenty of restroom breaks. We saw fossil exhibits with rocks and touch dinosaur bones over 90 million years old. We saw blue lakes and made wishes on ancient stones. We saw a man made clock controlled by the sun to indicate growing seasons for plants. We visited Casa de Terracota, a beautiful multiroom house still under construction. Amazing food experiences and tour guides. Sign up with Juan as he will bring you out of your element to experience and enjoy Colombia!
