Great tour - it was so much more engaging and interesting than I imagined. I shared that I have dietary restrictions and it still worked great for me. The guide, Nicolas, was super well informed and a great story teller! It was very cool to hear about the importance of biodiversity for food security, which brought even more depth to the tour. AND everything tasted great!

I came to try exotic foods i cant find in the state. I was happy to say i tasted amazing fruits at great prices. My aunt who lives there was able to haggle prices for me. I was able to buy a bunch of delcious packaged treats to fly to the states! i recommend you coming here and exploring!

This tour was fantastic, and our guide, Sara, was really amazing and warm. We had the chance to try a huge bowl of all kinds different fruits and Sara talked us through each one. We also tried tasty empadaditas with salsas, three types of traditional breads, and a cup of coffee that made my tea-loving husband actually like coffee.

Any foodie would be really pleased with this market, probably the best in all of Bogota, but certainly it is the very largest in town. From the fresh herbs that come in around 2:00AM, to the flowers of every variety that arrive shortly afterward, to the abundance of fruits and veggies that start arriving around 4:00AM, everything is terrifically eye-pleasing. One could easily spend a good portion of a day here. I certainly did.

Wonderful tour, we tested a lot of fruits and typical Columbian cuisine. Sara is very nice and friendly guide and gives us a lot of information!

Excellent experience. Sara was our tour guide and she was exceptional. She communicated with us before the tour and after. Made sure we were understanding everything as she had a lot of information to provide. She answered all our questions thoughtfully and was very patient. Great energy and Sara has so much knowledge about the fruits in Colombia! We were fascinated by how much she taught us. The pacing was great. We did the noon tour with her and that time was perfect for us. Highly recommend this tour.

The fruit tour was absolutely amazing, we highly recommend it. We started with different kinds of pastries, including the Colombian cheesebread with guava jam that was highly voted. Then we walked through the flower market before walking through Paloquemao market. Then we got to sit down in a little area where we tried so many delicious exotic fruits. I like the order of fruits we tried, that really worked with the palette. Afterwards, we ended the tour at a little shop where we could buy souvenirs like the fruit passport (which has names and pictures of the fruits we tried in English and Spanish), coffee beans, fruit jam, etc. highly recommend this tour!!
Majo was our tour guide and she was easygoing, funny, and articulate. I loved the energy she brought to the group, as well as the messages she inspired us with, which is how important it is to have diversity of food accessible to everyone.

The fruit tour was the highlight of our trip to Bogota! Sara is the warmest, friendliest, and most knowledgeable person you could ever wish to interact with. Her English is perfect and the tour was both fascinating and entertaining. Plus, she was even able to accommodate us on short notice (~24 hours). I HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with her at the Paloquemao market if you're visiting Bogota!

Amazing experience! The market itself was bustling with locals and was filled with an incredible variety of local fruits, veggies, herbs, and other specialty items. Our guide, Sara, was absolutely fantastic. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and very easy to get along with. We started the tour with 3 delicious traditional Colombian cheese breads, then we strolled around the market and learned more about some of the traditional Colombian herbs. Sara then took us for freshly made empanadas accompanied by a variety of homemade spicy sauces. Everything was delicious! Next, we learned a bit more about the importance of biodiversity and supporting local farmers. And then the main event - the fruit tasting! We tried about 15 different exotic fruits, most of which I had never seen or heard of before. She prepared them for us and taught us fun facts about each one. We ended the tour with some fantastic coffee at a family run coffee shop. Overall, this was a great way to learn more about Colombian culture, and we loved the whole experience! Sara really made the tour special and memorable!

We took the Paloquemao Market fruit tour with Camila as our guide. Camila was a fantastic guide and we had a wonderful time. She was very patient with our kids (age 6 and 3), especially with our 3 year old needing to use the bathroom several times. Camila took us through the flower market to start the tour. Then we ate some typical Colombian breads with some coffee and avena. We then walked through the market and stopped in a private room where we tasted and learned about 15ish different Colombian fruits. We then walked through the market and had some fresh juice and delicious coffee. We highly recommend the tour and especially recommend Camila!
