I had a deliciously good time on this tour! My guide Barbara seemed to know all the secrets for finding the good stuff in restaurants, markets, and street eateries. I enjoyed delicious foods I never would have encountered without Barbara’s expertise and familiarity with the local scene. Plus, Barbara even helped me practice counting in Burmese. She made the whole thing as easy as tit-hnit-thone!

Food tours are a great way to learn about the people and their culture. Swan was our guide and he was simply awesome, a super nice guy. We were a bit worried about tummy distress with salads and ice and such, but Swan took us only to places that were safe. The food was local, varied and very good. We felt badly that we couldn’t eat it all and he suggested wrapping it up and giving it to those who were hungry on the street which was very kind.

Barbara gave an excellent food tour! We ate so much and loved the experience of walking through the streets stalls and restaurants with a local guide. It was so great we went to the same stalls the next night.

Wow! Die Tour hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir können die sympathische Hsu Yee mit ihrem sehr guten Deutsch wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Sie hat uns die Vielfältigkeit der verschiedenen Gerichte des street foods näher gebracht sowie hat sie uns über die Gepflogenheiten Yangons berichtet. Bringt viel Hunger mit. Es lohnt sich!🌸

Very grateful to our charming guide Barbara for the stunningly organized food tour. We tried local food that we would not have guessed to try. And we were also able to ask questions about the culture of Myanmar that interest us.

We had an Amazing time with our guide Barbara. She taught us about about the traditional foods, culture and even a bit about the local history.
All the places that she brought us where truly authentic and delicious, a few precious gems that we wouldn't never found it by our own.
We got hit by a massive rain in the beginning of the tour and Barbara did everything to keep us confortable so we could keep enjoying the evening!
The whole experience is great, especially in the beginning of a trip because it makes you more comfortable to explore on your own.
Can't recommend enough!

Amazing food, although there was so much of it! It’s definitely worth trying to do with more than one of you (I went alone and was stuffed by the end!)
The guide was excellent and it was so nice to see someone who clearly loved what they were doing!

I signed up for this tour very last minute after arriving into Yangon and it was great. Eaindray was my guide and she was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. The food was wonderful and I learned a lot along the way. Definitely recommend if you are in Yangon and want to know how to eat like a local!

I chose to do this food tour pretty last minute, and booked it for my last day in Yangon. I was instantly booked and reached out to. Immediately upon arriving at our meeting point, Swan greeted me with a warm and friendly presence. He immediately took me from stall to stall, market to market, teahouse to restaurant to dessert. All along the way, we talked about our lives, the history and culture (both food and non-food related) of Myanmar, the different ethnic and cultural influences on Myanmar’s food, and much more. I had such a lovely and informative time with Swan as my guide. I would highly recommend this tour, and would do it again in a heartbeat!
