Shawn was a great guide who was very engaging & knowledgeable. We did the extended tour, the first part was about historical beliefs, myths & legends, the second part was more about modern myths & some tips about places to eat & visit. It was a great way to explore the city - not a hard walk as lots of stops for story telling plus snack & toilet breaks.

Great evening walk to see both historical buildings and modern districts.

I'm Korean-American visiting Korea for the first time, and my spouse thought this would be a good way to explore. He was right! I didn't know much about Korean culture until I was on this tour. So, not only did we learn, but we were also spooked. Joe was great at storytelling and I will tell you now, book the extended version. It was completely worth it. When we go back to visit, I want to try the grave hike. Thank you so much, guys!

Our guide Joe was very knowledgeable of Korean history, in particular past events which supported the intent of the tour. We were able to explore areas which we'd likely not venture ourselves and also discovered our guide has a podcast which will give us even more background on the "creepier" side of Seoul / Korea. Very much recommended as an essential part of anyone's trip!

Enjoyed this walking tour on our last day in Seoul. It’s really interesting learning about Korean traditions, history of places, and creatures — makes us look forward coming back to South Korea and probably visit the shamanic mountain mentioned during the tour. When we come back, we’ll join your other tours especially if there’s a hiking one (inspired by your comic book :D) our guide is a great storyteller, thanks Shawn! -Nad&Gean

I was coming to Korea with my partner for our honeymoon. He really likes the Dark Side Of Seoul podcast so wanted to go on this tour together. Shawn gave a great tour that really captured my attention and interest the whole way through. Some people bring their own drink during the tour which is allowed and as a person who wouldn't necessarily consider touring alledgedly haunted places in the dark my first choice of fun I appreciated that lol! I also appreciated his consideration to make sure everyone was doing okay throughout the tour since it is a lot of walking, planning breaks and checking in at the end to make sure everyone knew how to get back to where they were staying at the end of the evening. He has a lot of experience living in and studying the city of Seoul and it shows- I learned a lot about the city's history, got recommendations for great places to eat and gather that you wouldn't just find on a big website. Overall I'd definitely recommend the tour! Only con is that some areas may not be accessible but that's just parts of the city, not anything specific to the tour, so if you have any sort of limited mobility or would struggle to walk a lot I'd keep that in mind when planning a trip to Seoul in general.

The ghost tour was absolutely a highlight for me and my husband's honeymoon. It was spooky, funny, educational and entertaining. The guide even helped us get to the bus stop afterwards. Would 100% recommend it for any kind of traveler.

Excellent adventure!! We loved hearing the stories and visiting the ‘dark side’ of Seoul. Shawn is very knowledgeable and extremely personable. We highly recommend this excursion but be sure to wear your walking shoes!

So far there is no daytime version. But it is best to search on their website for other available tours that fit your daytime requirement. Good luck!

Hi there,
I'm surprised they don't have availability. My only guess is that it is a small company of only 3 employees, mainly expats. Perhaps they are out of the country during the holidays?
