Such an amazing day full of gorgeous scenery of mountain Seorak as well as plenty of winter fun activities in Nami island and Morning Calm Garden, which was majestically lit up with beautiful light installations. So many nice spots for pictures throughout the day! Patrick was such a great tour guide and a safe van driver (it was snowing during the day). He navigated the day on point, he told many intricacies about the places and gave fantastic recommendations for local food, snacks and things to do during free time.

Amazing guide and nice view from the mountain! Our guide Ki was very friendly and recommended a good chicken bbq spot which was delicious. For me personally, I expected more from Nami Island but I still had fun there by talking to some people from the group. The garden of morning calm had some fun lights that were quite creative. It was very cold during our trip so Ki did let us sit in the warm car whenever we returned sooner than the meeting time :)

I really enjoyed the day. I thought our guide April was full of life and was very hospitable and kind. The main highlight was Mt. Seorak - I do wish we were there longer as I do like hikes. Nami Island was good however as I didn’t know the background of the island (I.e. a popular k-drama spot) I didn’t appreciate it as much. Finally the Garden of Morning Calm was amazing - Christmas lights to the extreme - a spectacular stroll.

I found it very cool to visit the mountain and the morning calm gardens are wonderful outputs from a childish story. The Nami island being private could be much more interesting and better cared for.

The views in Nami island & during the ferry ride were exceptional. Morning calm is so beautiful at night, with all the lights! Our tour guide - MG was patient with us and brought us to halal Dakgalbi shop before going to Nami island.

Our trip in Korea was a blast, short but sweet. Thanks to Patrick who made our trip so convenient and worry free that all we needed to think about was just enjoy our trip. I will definitely come back and book Patrick again to explore other parts of S. Korea. Thank you.

During the autumn season 26/10 only hiking is available and not cable car? Not keen on hiking but would like to visit Mt Seorak by cable car.

If you go to the website, it looks like they don't take advance reservations for the cable car because operation is weather dependent. The site says approximately 2 days prior they will post cable care availability. We did not do the cable car as we did not want to wait in line & we were pressed for time being in a schedule tour group. So we hiked to see the views instead. They have multiple short hikes you can not hike Mount Seorak in 1 day. It takes 13hrs. The Biseondae Rock Course is fairly easy hike as I am a novice & did just fine. You will need comfortable shoes.

I'm not sure how much of it will be open, especially the mountain but I've been to many other mountains in Korea in the winter that are gorgeous :)
At the very least, the Nami Island and the Garden of Morning Calm would be worth it!

We heard the Mount Seorak is closed due to mountain fire. There are 4 of us and arriving in late April.

hi! there were 19 of us in our group. we used a big tourist bus in traveling around. perhaps it is wise to join other groups to save more on expenses.
