Beauty of Mother Nature

Thank you Josh for being a great tour guide despite the rain. It was totally worth it and would definitely do it again. I love nature so this felt like this tour was meant for me. Good to note that this tour departs Myeongdong area at 550am and returns at 8-ish pm, so better plan your breakfast and dinner as shops around the pick up area aren’t open yet and some restaurants close by 9pm.

Beautiful autumn colors
The colors of Mt Seorak was very beautiful and the rocky formation made the scenery very spectacular. Nami Island and the garden of morning calm added to the overall spectacle. The trip was well organized. Alice, our guide, gave us information about the area and meeting times so that the tour ran on schedule. She is always available to answer any questions and provided addition information about restaurants etc. I would certainly recommend the tour notwithstanding the long travel time.

Relaxing Solo Adventure
I went Solo, though I was able to talk to a few people and make a few friends, including the tour guide Josh who is a fun & friendly person and will make sure your tour is a good and smooth experience. He also talks about the history of the sites so bonus if you are interested in learning more about where you're going to.

The places are great for some photography. I personally loved Mt Seorak as it had serene scenery and multiple photo spots. There isn't too much hiking as it's a group tour. However, if you're feeling mischievous, you could climb a little higher than allowed and get the whistle blown like I did.

The ride to Mt Seorak is a little under 2 hours but is comfortable enough. You can sleep through most of it.

Overall, it was a great trip and I would definitely recommend it. Just check the weather as it will play a big role in your enjoyment and photo taking.

Great experience
It’s a nicely packed day trip for a visit of cool places farther away Seoul but can still make it in a day. The guide Josh is a fun and humorous.

Os lugares são belíssimos. Contudo, chegamos já bem de tardezinha no jardim da manhã calma, Ficou corrida a visita a esse ponto do passeio, ficaram prejudicadas as fotos na parte mais bonita desse jardim, pois os funcionários já estavam cobrindo com lona as flores.. Importante pontuar que após a montanha, quando paramos no ponto em que se bebe a água que corre naturalmente, o nosso ônibus estava partindo e nos deixando para trás, sem que tenham feito qualquer contato telefônico conosco. A empresa entrega cartões no início do passeio para identificar o grupo, porém havia mais de um grupo da empresa nesse dia e os cartões eram absolutamente idênticos. Estávamos aguardando próximo a pessoas com o mesmo cartão no pescoço, quando um guia nos informou que havíamos perdido nosso grupo, que nosso grupo não era aquele. Perguntei que horas eram e havia passado 6 minutos do horário acordado para estar no local. Então esse outro guia ligou para o nosso guia, que foi o Roy, e fomos orientados a descer correndo para alcançá-lo, pois o ônibus já estava saindo. Foi uma falha grave, já que éramos estrangeiros, em um país desconhecido cuja lingua não dominamos e em um lugar muito distante da capital. Não nos contataram por telefone, simplesmente estavam indo embora e nós deixando para trás. Já que a empresa trabalha com mais de um grupo para o mesmo destino, deveria utilizar cartões com cores diferentes ou contendo os nomes dos guias, como outras empresas fazem, para que equívocos como esse não ocorressem. O pior foi a saída do ônibus 6 minutos após o horário acordado, sem um contato prévio conosco, o que nos leva a crer que o guia não contou as pessoas do grupo antes de partir.

A gorgeous day trip out of Seoul

I took part in the Mount Seorak, Nami Island and Garden of Morning Calm day tour with Ki Changmin (기장민) as our tour guide. Locations chosen for the tour were stunning, ideal for admiring the Korean Autumn. Seorak Mountain and Garden of Morning Calm were my favorite locations, Nami Island is pretty but I imagine it being a better place for a day out with your family or partner. Overall it was a really beautiful experience and a day I won’t forget.

Our guide, with his background in architecture, shared many fascinating facts and he went above and beyond to take care of us and make sure we’re enjoying the tour to the fullest! His positive energy and enthusiasm made all the difference. I’d highly recommend going on one of the tours with Korea Time Tour and if possible, asking to be put in Ki’s tour group. 기창민씨, 감사합니다!

Great !
The trip was great, we saw a lot of nature and beautiful scenery. The guide, Josh, was really friendly and informed, and he knows english really well. The obly minus would be the car we went with. It had A/C, and there was enough room for everyone, but it was a bit old, and it sounded horrible, which made me a little worried at times. Other than that, it is a wonderful trip!

Nice day in South Korea
The tour starts early in the morning and we choose as a pickup location Myeong-dong station exit 4. We got a message from our tour guide a day before, so no need to worrie, and also you can choose between 2 pickup locations.
Our guide was JOSH, young guy, he was really nice and funny. We traveled with a bus and it was full. Not full in a bad way because everyone had plenty of room. Our first stop was at the Seoraksan mountains for our hike.
The hike was easy, we were prepared with proper footwear and everything but you could make the hike even in sneakers and normal clothes although I do not recommend it because the hike is only downhill and the road is paved with rocks so it would challenge your feet.
The second stop was at Nami island, 6 nice island, no cars, just people on foot, dogs, bunnies and people with bicycles. We crossed the river by the ferry, it was easy, really fast at first but when we tried to come back the queue was very long, but no worries, the ferry can carry a lot of people at once so we didn't stay as much as we tought.
Our 3rd destination was The Garden of the morning calm but we couldn't stay as much because at 06:20 pm it got dark because we did the tour in 24th of october and because the ferry on the island was really busy we were a bit late to the Garden.
I gave the tour a 4 star out of 5 because it could get better. The bus was really loud and shaking when shifting the gears, the tour guide used the microphone so that everyone could hear everything that he was saying just till put 1st destination then he just talked normally and it was hard to hear from the back.
All together we loved the tour and we recommend it for everyone.

Even though it was a very long tour (14 hours) we saw the beautiful landscape outside the city -Paul was our exec. guide
A very early start for this tour but it was well worth it - Paul is very knowledgeable and helpful and the mountains and greenery was amazing. The last visit to the garden of Morning Calm was stunning and seeing the 1000 year old juniper tree a unique experience. A last remark though you should be reasonably fit as there is quite a bit of walking involved.
