From the moment we arrived, Samir made us feel safe, welcomed and listened to.
He was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, ensuring we made the most of our short trip in Cairo.
We extended our time with Samir and really appreciated his knowledge and guidance for the full time we we were in Cairo.
Samir was authentic, cared about our experience and just wanted us to enjoy every moment, from funny photos, museum suggestions, helping us get water, find the best foods in Downtown and top tips for the souks.

Do yourself a favor and book with Samir. Absolutely amazing experience. I went to Cairo as a solo female traveler and felt so safe and well cared for. Milad and Sylvia were my tour guides, and they were both so kind and well knowledgeable on Egyptian history. I was there for less than 48 hours, but they made sure I had plenty to do and see, and I loved every second of it...and they'll make sure you have PLENTY of photos! :) When I come back to Egypt, I'm definitely booking with this company again.

Samir and Mohammed were the best ambassadors for Over Egypt tours we could have wished for. Both were charming and gracious and gave us the best possible experience for our three night visit to Cairo. Mohammed is an excellent guide who speaks many languages and Samir who owns the company, drove us himself. Both ensured that we were kept comfortable and entertained from the moment we arrived in Cairo until the moment we left. We are seniors and felt safe and valued family members at all times. We had a tailor made tour made especially for our own choices and interests. We enjoyed everything especially the show at the Cultural Centre with the Whirling Dervishes. Don’t miss it! We took Mohammmed’s recommendation to visit Garbage City and the Cave churches. We were glad we did. Not many people see this side of Cairo.
Again thanks to Samir for his help and advice. His company is one to be proud of. See you again in January! Can’t wait.

The pyramids of Giza was an amazing trip. Gad is very personable and knowledgeable. Super fun trip and very educational. Highly recommend. Will use Gad again when I come back with my kids.

Καταπληκτική εκδρομή! Θα μας μείνει αξέχαστη χάρη στο Over Egypt Tours! Εξαιρετικοί επαγγελματίες και η ξενάγηση τους υψηλών προδιαγραφών! Ήταν δίπλα μας κάθε στιγμή να μας καθοδηγήσουν με απίστευτη ευγένεια και παντα χαμογελαστοί! Ο χρόνος μας αξιοποιήθηκε με τον καλύτερο δυνατό τρόπο στα αξιοθέατα ενώ μας βοήθησαν να βγάλουμε φανταστικές φωτογραφίες! Όπως μας είπε ο Samir στόχος τους είναι να αποκτούν οι πελάτες τους αναμνήσεις για μια ζωή και σίγουρα αυτό ισχύει στην περίπτωσή μας! Τους ευχαριστούμε πολύ!

Myself and two of my Friends came on holiday for 10 Days from Ireland and Samir sorted practically every aspect of our holiday so it all ran smoothly. He really looks out for his clients. Airport Runs, tours, pyramids, camel rides, quads museums. He makes sure you don’t get ripped off by any people preying on tourists.

The trip was excellent from start to finish. Picked up in a comfortable, air conditioned minibus with water available too. The guide, Gad, was so knowledgeable and engaging that we didn’t even notice the time fly by during our journey to the pyramids. He took us to the best places to learn about the history but also get amazing pictures and kept us protected from any hassle from sellers. Lunch was at a gorgeous local restaurant where the staff were so welcoming and the food was delicious and plentiful! I would highly recommend Samir - Mr Egypt, and Over Egypt Tours!

What can we say about Samir, the famous Mr. Egypt? He is the most fantastic guide we have ever met; no lies in that. He is also the owner of the company, but we were lucky to have him as our guide. We were worried before going to Egypt (this was our first time), but all the worries vanished once we met him at the airport.
We visited Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan. Samir was with us the whole time in Cairo and took us to all the amazing places and local restaurants. When we are in a foreign country, we prefer to eat local food. And he knew all the holes in the walls. There was a hiccup in Aswan, but we called him, and he fixed that right away. Egypt is very much recommended for its history, food, and culture. If you go to Egypt, no one can show it to you better than Mr. Egypt.

I cannot endorse OVER EGYPT TOURS ENOUGH! Outstanding.
I was doing some work at the American International School of Egypt, and when I asked them if they knew tour providers - they immediately responded, “absolutely! I’ll call Samir Kamel, he’s ‘Mr Egypt’!”
They rang Samir, and in literally minutes we had arranged for his younger brother Milad to collect me from the school when I was finished the morning’s walk, and take me for around 7 hours to see Ghiza and Saqqara.
Milad was phenomenal. His English is excellent (he studied English at University) which was really handy, and his knowledge of Egyptian (ancient) history is encyclopaedic (he also studied Egyptology). He’s also very considerate, and an excellent driver, which made the whole experience really outstanding.
Being very bright, he was able to offer insight on a wide variety of topics over and beyond the sights we saw (example, the history of Christianity in Egypt - I was interested in the Coptic Orthodox Church, recent history and politics within the region etc.), which made for an interesting and diverse time.
The rate was, I felt, extremely fair. For someone of his expertise to avail himself so rapidly, and offer such outstanding service at a moment’s notice - AND not to charge a fortune to do so! Top class.
The same company AFTER the tour also helped me get a PCR Covid test *in the narrow gap between classes I was taking at the school*, advised me about where to eat that would be convenient for me (Milad dropped a Google Pin to exactly where I could get Pigeon. If you’ve not had pigeon in Egypt - it’s a locally popular dish and very good) etc.
I had only ten or so hours to enjoy myself in my very brief time in Egypt that wasn’t spent working - and OVER EGYPT is what made it good. Staff at the school assure me that they all use the company consistently because service is invariably exceptional, and that Samir manages the company with uncompromising excellence.
If you’re heading to Egypt, look NO further than OVER EGYPT. Top top TOP class outfit.
