We had a wonderful morning at the pyramids with our guide MoMo. He was extremely kind and knowledgeable, sharing lots of interesting facts and stories along the way. He made us comfortable by taking care of all the details for us, as only an expert local guide could. We then enjoyed a delicious lunch together before being dropped back at our hotel.

The experience was great!! Our guide SHROUK made it a perfect day. She was very kind and explained the history with a lot of details! The vehicle was very comfortable, the driver was polite, kind and safe.
I highly recommend doing just Giza pyramid instead of all in one day. We had a comfortable time to explore places without anyone, since most of the tourists just spent a short amount of time at Giza and leave.
Perfect day and I’ll remember it forever! Thank you urban adventures!!!

Urban Adventures claims that they can give you some alone time with the Sphinx, and they're not lying: we had the very impressive experience of being completely alone at the Sphinx and the valley temple of Khafre/Chephren. Furthermore, our guide Noha was super friendly and very knowledgeable, and in addition to the pyramids tour gave a good perspective on urban development in Cairo during our drive to Giza. Urban Adventures was also happy to customize the tour for us: since we weren't interested in the lunch option, they offered us a camel tour by the pyramids instead. (Sidenote: camel riding is harder than it looks!)

Marwa is an excellent guide. She is very knowledgeable and knows exactly where to get great photos. She also got us access to the site before the other tourists hence my photo shots are not cluttered with a bunch of tourists in them.

I was travelling solo while in Cairo so i wanted to book some day tours to help me navigate the city and see the sights. I came across intrepid day tours from a blog and decided to book with them as they are comparable to G adventures (canadian competitor), i also stayed at King Hotel which is the meetup point (see my review for the hotel - in sum good stay good value!). I ended up booking 3 day tours intially before i left Canada then a 4th after i had gone on the first 2! I did islamic cairo (with Marwa), Saquarra/Memphis (with Mahamoud aka Mo), Giza Pyramids (with Mo) and Alexandria (with Eman). The tours run daily and there always availability and flexibility to change dates. That said, this company wont cancel on you! Ie there is no minimum number of poeple in order to run the tour. Two of my tours ended up being private tours with my guide/driver! And the other two with just one other person so that was AWESOME! In no way did i feel like cattle herded fr place to place ..... About the tour guides themselves they were all very personable, knowledgeable, accommodating and i highly recommend any of the 3 i was lucky to have on my trip! Its pretty clear they love their jobs as guides and are very passionate about it. They are open to answer any qs u may have outside of the attractions themselves like if u wanna ask about daily life, muslim culture, what/where to eat, whats the deal about cell phone pictures allowed but no cameras pictures allowed lol i am looking forward to booking future day trips with Urban Adventures in another country. Tip: if u can do not miss Saquarra/Memphis in addition to Giza Pyramids and if u are doing both make sure to see the older pyramids first Saquarra/Memphis before Giza. If u have any qs feel free to get in touch.

It was an early start for us as we were picked up from the hotel at 6.30am - but it's early for a reason - to beat the heat & the crowds. Our guide Ahmed El Saway was excellent! He went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. There were only 2 of us on the tour so it felt very private & bespoke. Ahmed could answer all our questions & his knowledge of both the ancient history of the site & technical info on the construction of the monuments was outstanding. Would highly recommend using Urban Adventures as the company to arrange this & ask for Ahmed if you want a friendly and knowledgeable guide.

Small group (3) guided by Marwa, who was very knowledgeable and patient due to me taking a lot of photos. I would definitely request her again when we go back.
