Our guide Ahmed is excellent. He helped us throughout the entire itinerary. I highly recommend this tour of the Nile River cruise.

Had a great experience on this cruise especially thanks to Ahmed our guide who was great. The sights are absolutely incredible and having Egypt Gift Tours run the agenda for us was perfect in a country where we personally found planning to be a challenge.
Below are a few things to know before heading onto this cruise with a west european perspective. Keep in mind we had a great time despite those observations, just an FYI:
- The boats are all the same except the Dahabyias which will cost you 5-8x and the cruise ships are all the same except the Viking Sea cruises and probably some others we didn't see. Essentially those boats seem to all be from the 80s-90s with some refurbishments here and there. Don't expect a 5-star cruise in Western European standards. The beds are comfy and the showers are clean but things are a bit dated. Food was good but you'll be eating a lot of the same throughout the days
- Don't expect to fall asleep by a sea view, all ships park next to one another and you'll most likely not see anything through your window when the cruise ship is docked. I felt there was surprisingly little cruising but when we did cruise it was absolutely magical, resting on the bed with a window view on the nile is beautiful.
- You will wake up very early so plan some time to rest after: hot air balloon wake up at 3.30, Abusimbel wake up at 3.30, Karnak temple in the morning waking up at 5
- You will be part of many cruise ships arriving at sights at once so expect some touches of mass tourism, you show up at the sights at the same time as other ships and its a race to be the first ones on site to avoid the masses. I personally regret not spending a bit more time at the sights but what can you expect from a 4-day trip. If you have time I'd recommend spending an extra night in Luxor after, the Karnak temple is mind-bendingly beautiful

The cruise was great! Lots of of fun activities and places to see (although a bit packed at times). Owf , our guide made us feel welcome and helped us learn a lot, would definitely recommend him as a guide for your Aswan/Luxor trip

El barco está muy bien y la comida es buena. Pero la verdad que no es lógico ir desde Aswan a Abu Simbel saliendo muy temprano a la mañana ir 4 horas en micro estar en el lugar que es maravilloso solo 1 rato y volver de nuevo 4 horas en micro. Sugiero ir a Abu Simbel dormir ahí volver y hacer el crucero de w noches. De hecho el primer día el crucero funciona como hotel ya que no navega.
Por otra parte no se si es siempre así pero el operador local no nos confirmó hasta el final cuando nos buscarían en el hotel, se equivocaron de barco y varios temas de organización no quedaban claro.
Tampoco el guía que nos tocó era muy bueno, solo repetía nombres de faraones y dioses sin explicar nada de la historia y cultura local. Tal vez con un buen guía y los lugares maravillosos que se ven hubiera sido mejor.
Por otra parte no se si es siempre así pero el operador local no nos confirmó hasta el final cuando nos buscarían en el hotel, se equivocaron de barco y varios temas de organización no quedaban claro.

Contratamos com opção de guia em espanhol, mas um dos tours teve que ser em inglês. Em Abu Simbel tivemos problemas com o guia que não nos encontrou onde deveria, mas conseguimos seguir com outro grupo. Ao final, acabou dando tudo certo. O guia em espanhol que nos acompanhou na maioria dos passeios era ótimo, falava bem e foi atencioso. Conseguia me comunicar com a agência e tirar as dúvidas pelo WhatsApp facilmente.

My husband and I had such a great experience! Our tour guide Owf, was absolutely amazing! He made us feel at home and treated us like family. Would definitely recommend him when looking for a tour guide. Our room was on the 4th floor and the view was breath taking. The room and the showers were clean and updated. Will book again when we come back.

The cruise exceeded my expectations (which to be fair were low to begin with).
The accomodations were nice. (I traveled solo, and I had a room to myself, which was quite luxurious.) Two people could fit comfortably in here. I'm not sure how comfortable more people would be in here (but I really like my space).
There was also a deck which I thought was decent, with a mini pool that I never went inside, but it was nice to sunbathe on the deck.
There's also a nice lounge/bar area as well.
The food was just okay. The quality varied depending from day to day, but I really liked the wide selection, and the availability of fruits and vegetables.
On the cruise boat, they have different subgroups of people doing different activities. My tour guide Owf was absolutely amazing - lots of good stories and very funny.
I feel like he's gone above and beyond his job as a tour guide, and has been a very welcoming host to his country. He took me and another couple to a walk to the Aswan market on a free evening, where we sat at a cafe and just talked.
The trip has been amazing for sightseeing, learning, and learning about a new culture.

This was our first visit to Egypt & we have always preferred managing our trips ourselves, however this time we thought let's try booking a trip!! I started searching & after reading multiple reviews I booked Egypt Gift Tours & boy! It was an amazing decision!!
I have divided this into 2 parts - the tour management & the trip experience
Heba Haggag does brilliant job managing everything including sharing detailed itinerary for each day, the entrance costs & additional charges (if any), the tour guide details, pickup & drops.
She will always be available to respond to your queries and she is very much proactive.
All the tour guides were very knowledgeable. Special mention for our Luxor English tour guide Hateem with whom we really enjoyed the last 2 days of our journey. He was excellent.
The Experience -
We were placed on Nile Sapphire & it is a good cruise with all your amenities (swimming pool, massage, sundeck, bar).
Meals were very good, however they have rather strict timings for the meals. (If your visits coincide with the cruise meal times don't worry, Heba has always arranged them in advance and we never had to worry on missing them!)
We had many early mornings (Abu Simbel & hot air balloon - you need to be ready by 4:30 lol) , but it's soo much worth it !! I highly recommend the hot air balloon.
Temples are a whole different experience, however do note you will be reaching the Luxor & Kom Ombo temples in the evening.
Last day can be bit tiring as there are multiple visits planned.
All the visits are done either in cars/buses/mini vans depending on the group size.
This trip gave us a whole new perspective & it felt nice not to manage everything on our own! I definitely recommend this journey.

Egypt Gift Tours was an excellent choice from the beginning! Heba Haggag was very helpful and always available to answer any questions we had. She sent us our itinerary in detail, and gave us valuable advices such us local entrance fees for every temple, suggested we took warm clothes for balloon trip, among others.
Cruise was perfect in every moment, food, installations and staff were amazing. Since we arrived to Aswan we had a private Spanish Guide to receive us giving fantastic explanations on every site. Mohammed Hassan, our main guide, deserves a special mention, he is very professional and has a deep Knowledge on Egyptology. If you are Spanish speaking you must ask for him! You won’t regret it!
More over, balloon trip was out of this world! We really enjoyed Abu simbel too. Thank you for this magic holidays!

From start to the end everything was perfect and very well organized. Boat is luxury and has all you need it. The food was very modern and delicious. Staff very friendly. I highly recommend it to everyone. Almost every trip we had private guide very friendly and knowledge, expecially Hatim. Heba made my vacation unforgettable. Thank you for everything.

noi poi proseguiamo il tour in Egitto pernottando una notte a Luxor per conto nostro.

Hi,
We (Party of 2) are planning to arrive in Aswan on 13th January early morning.
1. When I was trying to book for 13th it was showing 3 options 8:30 am, 10:30 am ...could you explain what are the differences? I thought it sails after lunch only.
2. Does the rooms have attached bathroom? Does all the rooms have Nile river view?
3. For visiting Abu Simbel is there any upgrade option of flying there (if yes, what is the cost?)

1) there is no difference in the pick up times. Just select any that matches your arrival time and provide your flight details.
2) the sailing will be the second day after Abu Simbel trip.
3) All the rooms have private bathrooms
4) during the sailing all the rooms will enjoy the Nile view. But while stopping in the docks( marines), the cruises are in a line so might be between 2 other cruises.
5) Yes, we can upgrade Abu Simbel to fly but the price depends upon the available and date. When you finish your booking, we can tell you exactly how much extra.

Recommended Arrival time on the first day should be before 12:01 pm.
