This is an exquisite temple, with beautiful carvings, including the famous one of surgical instruments. Make sure you time your visit to avoid the cruise ship crowds — if you have the misfortune to be there at the same time as a few boatloads, it is impossible to see anything due to the crush of humanity; during our visit, they were gone by 11 am.

A very interesting site with influences from more than one civilisation. It was well worth a visit and to be recommended.

Wenn du auf einer Nilkreuzfahrt bist wirst du dort anlegen, der Tempel ist nur etwa 50 m entfernt. Ehrlich gesagt ist er aber nichts besonderes. Extra dorthin fahren würde ich jetzt nicht, aber wenn er auf dem Weg liegt warum nicht. Ist auch nicht allzu teuer.

Este templo, que está dedicado a dos dioses, está lleno de jeroglíficos en las paredes, muy bien conservados. Nosotros fuimos cuando ya había oscurecido y mereció la pena verlo iluminado.

One more mesmerizing temple. It is also the only temple dedicated to two gods and is completely symmetrical. It is by the River Nile and the only temple we saw that had a mummified crocodile museum.

We visited this temple (off our Nile cruise) early evening which was a lovely way to see Kom Ombo temple.
Is it a must see -No- but it was a good way to take a 60/75 minute break from the boat. The temple is on the river so it is only a 5/10 min easy walk along the towpath.
The temple is similar to many you will see in Egypt and is not the spectacle of some of the others in or near Luxor. There is a nice addition of the mummified Crocodiles which is worth seeing.
Overall not bad. Adds nothing new but still impressive.

No es el más grande ni el mejor conservado, aunque si lo reconstruyes mentalmente también es majestuoso. Pero vale la pena por diversas particularidades: es el único en honor a 2 dioses (2 templos en uno), el calendario egipcio, la representación de un parto, las figuras que representan instrumentos quirúrgicos y médicos, el Nilómetro con su acceso superior y el acceso inferior por un túnel, y la pequeña piscina exterior que dicen uso Cleopatra.

Visitado sin masificación, al ir por carretera y fuera del horario de los cruceros, perfecto. Templo muy bonito. Curioso el detalle de ser dos templos en uno, con dos partes simétricas. Imprescindible en la visita a Egipto
