The stars are for our amazing tour guide Hazam, our three incredible drivers and for Tripadvisor for getting our full refund. I can’t put into words to describe Abu Simbel. It left me speechless everyone needs to see it. Aswan is a beautiful city I’m grateful they took us there and back. Driver even dropped us at the airport. Make sure this tour is exactly as it says on the itinerary because it weren’t for us. Be careful with what you eat. Lunch was not fresh nor pleasant which resulted into a bigger problem. With such great reviews I trusted this company. I wouldn’t recommend this company’s tour. We had to take our heavy luggage on the boat to the village. It would’ve been smart to check into the hotel first then go to the Nubian village but again poorly organised. Hazam tried his best to help us.

Wonderful experience! Where do I start... It was very adventurous and educational among all the beauty of Egypt. My now fiancé (yes he proposed on this trip in front of the pyramids! : )
and his mother and I enjoyed every bit of it. And I tell you without the help and guidance of Memphis tours we would be lost. A few of the guides did stick out: Marwa very attentive and kind educated us well at the museum. She took many pictures of and with us! Mohammed Afifi made sure whatever we needed was taken care of smoothly from getting from place to place and check ins and hotels etc, along with his fun driver Ahmed playing popular music of Egypt during our drives who was always friendly and smiling!
Lastly, Hany Refaat! He is a very special person to give all his time early mornings and with great patience. He planned everything to accomadate our group individually and as a whole. As an egyptologist, I can tell he is one of the best. He has shared so much knowledge to our group we can take home to share. Overall, he reconciled any issues we had along the way, educated us, laughed with us, and showed great comradery among the entire group.
The crusie ship was amazing including the food, the fun Egyptian night dancing, and the room service attendant surprising us with towel animals : ) please see photos attached explains it all including the photo of Hany we took of him getting some rest.

Great trip on the upper. Nile on the Sonesta Moon Goddess.
Our Egyptologist was Hany Refaat and he made the whole experience coe alive through his knowledge of the histories and characters involved. Hany was more than an Egyptologist - he immediately became part of our group and his friendly humour was part of the experience. He also sorted any issues that arose, very professional and highly recommended.
Our group was put together by the company and we were thirteen in total. The group was well-selected and we all quickly became friends. Also, Hany ensured that noone felt left out in the background.
This trip with Memphis Tours, Sonesta Moon Goddess and Hany Refaat comes highly recommended!

Abu Simbel is one of iconic places that you should visit if you come to Egypt! Our family trip mainly based in Luxor and we did not have enough time to take the Niles cruise. Therefore, this trip package from Memphis tour fit well with our schedule.
The overall experience since we purchased the package from TripAdvisor are excellent. Memphis tour staff is responsive to your questions and request (Thank you Ms. Basma). Their team are well organized in arranging private transportation and all visiting places. Honest with no hidden cost and safety driver along the road.The Egyptologist tour guide, Mr. Ibrahim Hishmat (hema6006@hotmail.com) is knowledgeable and very patient explaining many details to us. We were happy with his service, that we later decided to buy/explore more of other Luxor tour packages from Memphis. Thank you Ibrahim for the tour.
This trip is not too hassle if you travel with young kid (our son is 8 yrs old). The comfortable van and stop along the way can let you sleep/rest before the sightseeing visits. Some recommendation from me is to prepare some small égyptien pound (5-30 EGP) for some toilets, better to have your own wet/dry tissue for your own use.

My girlfriend and I went for 12 days in Egypt, and without a doubt the best part of the trip was the 4 days we had in Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. Besides the beautiful scenery and great accomodation in Steigenberger Legacy boat, the days were filled with great history lessons and guide to the past thanks to our assigned Egyptologist Hany Refaat.
We were so lucky to have someone like Hany accompany us. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the ancient and modern Egypt history. We learned a lot thanks to him. After the busy days we would hang out also in the boat to chat about topics of the day, anything related to modern Egyptian history, or even just chit chat as friends. Great person all around, gives you space to enjoy the place, speaks perfect English, and has a great sense of humor.
I would strongly recommend to anyone going to Egypt to do the Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan, and on top of everything insist on having Hany Refaat as your guide. I can't recommend him enough.

After visiting the Pyramids in Cairo, we flew to Luxor and were met by our tour coordinator, Shreef Ammar, at the airport and brought to our cruise ship. The process was completely seamless and we then embarked on tours of both the Karnak and Luxor Temples with our excellent guide, Mohamed Emam. Mohamed then stayed with us for the duration of the cruise, answering all our questions, sharing important historical details, and assisting with other tour excursions. Shreef picked us back up later the first evening and coordinated a great tour of Aswan by horse and carriage. The second day, we did a spectacular hot air balloon ride at sunrise through the Valley of Kings, which I highly recommend. Our balloon captain, Bob, is famous in Egypt, having been featured on National Geographic and did a fantastic job explaining everything we were looking at from above. I also recommend the flight excursion to Abu Simbel, which was much easier than the bus option (which would require waking up very early and a 4 hour trip each way!). Overall, a wonderful experience with an excellent tour agency!

My friend and I had the BEST time on our trip! Our Luxor tour coordinator Shreef Ammar did such an amazing job getting everything ready for us. He rolled with the punches and made everything for us relaxed and fun! Wa’el was our tour guide and was the BEST!! So funny and kind, patient and knowledgeable. Amazing trip!!
We also spent our last few days in Cairo with Tarek - incredible tour!!! Tarek was knowledgeable, curious, thoughtful and insightful - a total scholar! Ahmed Mostafa coordinated the Cairo section of our tour and was sooo helpful and awesome. At one point we needed to make a hotel change, he got on it immediately and had us in a new spot before we knew it. So appreciative for everyone who helped us do this once in a lifetime journey!!
We also spent our last few days in Cairo with Tarek - incredible tour!!! Tarek was knowledgeable, curious, thoughtful and insightful - a total scholar! Ahmed Mostafa coordinated the Cairo section of our tour and was sooo helpful and awesome. At one point we needed to make a hotel change, he got on it immediately and had us in a new spot before we knew it. So appreciative for everyone who helped us do this once in a lifetime journey!!

We had an amazing trip from Luxor to Aswan and Abu Simbel. Hany, our guide, was a wealth of historical and cultural information. We viewed these sites and left with an appreciation of the architecture and ancient knowledge of the people that built and inhabited these structures. This is a once in a lifetime experience, and our guide really brought the history to life.

Took a nine-day trip booked with Memphis that started in Cairo and ended with a cruise down the Nile and Abu Simbel. The trip was a once in a lifetime trip with my son and went off without any issues. Our guide for the Nile cruise and Abu Simbel was Abdo Esmael. He spoke perfect English and was extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we visited along the way. He was more like traveling with a close friend from the region rather than a hired guide. He helped us every step of the way and gave us a memory that will last forever. Thank You again my friend.
