This is the experience of a lifetime, LITERALLY!! I had so much fun during the Masai Village Day Tour. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone traveling to the area. This is an experience that you can't just read about; you have to experience it. I promise you won't be disappointed. I'm from the United States, and this was an eye-opening experience. I had the opportunity to become fully immersed in the culture. I truly believe Safari Port offers the BEST Masai Village Tour experience I could have ever received. Everyone in the village was welcoming and I learned a lot information about the Maasai people. Moses was our tour guide and I can't recommend him enough! I used Safari Port for the Nairobi Private Day Tour and deiced to use them again for this experience (asking for Moses specifically). Again, my expectations were exceeded! Moses was knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Upon my request, he captured some amazing pictures and videos of me (on my phone) while I was immersed in this experience. I'm personally big on reviews, hence why I decided to leave a review. Thanks to this company (Safari Port) and Moses, I had a phenomenal time at the Masai Village. If I ever return to Nairobi, I'd definitely go again!

What Incredible experience! Not only were the Massai people an absolute joy to be around and learn from, our tour guide Obed was a star! Obed was knowledgeable, kind, and the perfect guide through the city and countryside of Nairobi. Our partner and I felt deeply blessed to have him! Just book it! You won’t be disappointed! I was fortunate enough to have Moses as my tour guide and he was informative, kind, a safe driver, and a great photographer. The Masai community were welcoming and shared parts of their intimate lives for which I am very grateful. Their welcoming dance was of thoughtful meaning along with specially made jewelry. Thank you so much!

All I can say is WOW!!! A must do tour when in Kenya. Our tour guide Moses was Wonderful. He educated us on the history of Kenya and the Masai culture while taking us to the village and also while we were there. He also took beautiful pictures of me and my sister interacting with the Masai tribe. This tour was definitely the highlight of my trip. Book Moses for this tour it was Great!!!!!

Few words can describe the emotion of being on African soil for the first time. I only had one full free day to explore Kenya and I chose the most life changing experience I have ever had. I was warmly greeted at the airport by my extremely knowledgeable guide Obed who gave me a history of the tribal lines, modern day Kenya and what he loves most about being a storyteller. We arrived at the village and immediately I was greeted in Swahili. To feel accepted, dressed, and adorned by the Maasai women, to have the blessing of the elders upon arrival and to be welcomed into their homes is a life changing and humbling experience. I milked the goat, learnt about the medicinal and multifunctional uses of leaves and bark to sustain life, and even got married to a junior elder of the Maasai village. All of this was accompanied by warm smiles, learning to bead which I will never learn to do, and purchasing some jewelry from the women which is also an important source of income. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity whether you are on a short stay, or have more time in Kenya I 100% recommend the Maasai village Day Experience.

Besøget hos masaifamilien gav os et stærkt indblik i en kultur som fastholdes på trods af et land i en rivende udvikling. På trods af risikoen for, at det kunne ende i en kitschet seance, lykkedes det Obed at skabe et godt og troværdigt møde mellem fire turister og masaierne. Vi blev meget klogere på stammens historie og dagliv liv.

This tour was absolutely amazing 👏
I went with my elderly father & our tour guide Moses gave us top class service 👏
We were very welcomed by the Masai Village community.
We learnt how to make fire 🔥. How to hunt to how they brush their teeth with self made natural toothbrush 🪥. We wore traditional clothing & they sang beautifully.
This tour was amazing & learnt how to survive if we run out of electricity. Moses was brilliant 👏

An experience you won’t forget
The people from the village are very welcoming and eager to share their way of life.
As for the guide, Obed, was so nice explaining everything and translating. He spent the all time taking pictures so you will keep those memories forever.
I learned so much and I am very grateful for having been able to experience this cultural immersion.

Jambo! I wanted to know the logistics of hotel pick ups. Are you able to pick up/drop off to hotels in Nairobi and then drive 3 hours to the reservation? I want to make sure this is the caseZ I have heard of people flying to the massai Mara. I wanted to make sure with this tour we would be driving there from Nairobi.

I scheduled this tour using TripAdvisor. The tour is approximately 2 hours from Kenya. You visit a Massai Village and spend the day working on beads, milking the goats, viewing the homes and interacting with the village folks. It was one of the most amazing experiences for me. I have travelled to more than 50 countries and I absolutely loved meeting the Massai people. I took some extra cash and handed out approximately 100 bucks to the village people.
