I was visiting Beijing for a long weekend and had Lucy and a driver take me around and show me the highlights of Beijing. I found the tour to be informative and really flexible in terms of the pace I wanted to travel and history of each of the sites. While we were not able to visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square due to being closed for preparations for the 70th anniversary parade, Lucy was more than accomodating in taking me to other sights around Beijing and some local treasures. Thanks for a great private tour! Highly recommend.

This was our first visit to Beijing, and we only had two days to explore the city. This tour has exceeded our expectations! Our guide for the two days was Lucy and we couldn't ask for a better guide. Lucy was knowledgeable. well informed and attentive to our needs. The driver was also always on time and very considerate. We had two amazing days in Beijing where we were able to explore the major highlights of the city. I would definitely book more tours with them whenever I revisit China.

I had used Discover Beijing Tours a few years ago, and did not even consider any other company when planning this year’s visit to Beijing. I knew that Qing Ye - the owner of the business - would make sure I had a great experience. The two-day Private Beijing Tour is a perfect way to really experience Beijing, and to learn about it’s fascinating history and rich culture. We experienced both the “tourist” and “local” sides of this great city.
We had the good fortune of having Lucy as our guide on this visit. As my partner said - she was not only a great guide, but genuinely a pleasure to be around. Lucy is very knowledgeable, interesting, helpful, accommodating - and her English is excellent. She was kind enough to accompany us on a shopping side-Trip at our request.
I would absolutely recommend Discover Beijing Tours, and request Lucy as your guide for a truly great experience!

We had a great experience mainly due to our guide, Lucy, who presented us all the historic facts and exotic details along the way, in good English, and with a lot of patience as none of us (7 people) were English natives.
She was flexible to make adjustments in the daily schedule according to our group rhythm, and helpful all the time. She also avoided us to fall into shopping traps, and took us to really nice Chinese food restaurants. I would do it again.

Can’t say enough about this tour and the perfect tourist guide that we had. It includes all the main tourist points you need to visit in Beijing, with wonderful stops for topical Chinese food for lunch! Lucy, our turistas guide, was simply AMAZING! So kind, helpful, worried about pleasing the whole group and keeping us together among the crowd, always happy and polite! We loved her!!! Ask for her when you call in for a tour!

This is my second time using Discover Beijing Tours and will continue to use them and refer them to friends and family. We had an amazing time with Lucy, our tour guide, who was extremely knowledgeable, professional and made sure that we enjoyed our trip. Really enjoyed our time and ask for Lucy if you'd like to know the history/culture!!!

We had an incredible 2-Day tour with our guide Lucy in Beijing. Lucy speaks great English and has a great knowledge of the History of China. Day 1 we visited The Great Wall and Summer Palace. The trip included a scenic trip to the Great Wall by van. Then a short walk, bus ride and ski lift to the top. After amazing views of the Wall we rode the cowboy coaster down to the bottom. What fun. Lunch was provided afterward at a local restaurant. The trip concluded with a visit to the Summer Palace and back to the Hotel. Day 2. Lucy promptly picked us up at our hotel and we visited Tianemen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven. Lunch was provided again with the most delicious Chinese lunch. We had a great time and Lucy was the best tour guide we have had in many years. I would highly recommend requesting her as she is a 5 star tour guide.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-day tour with Susan. We were picked up promptly by Kai at the cruise terminal in Tientsin, then met by Susan at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. She was a terrific guide, providing us with plenty of background for the Beijing sites, and excellent at negotiating us around the massive May 1 holiday crowds. The next day, per Susan's suggestion, we left Beijing by 6:30 a.m. and were able to get to - and enjoy - the Great Wall before the holiday crowds made it impossible.
All the logistics worked beautifully and Quig put together a truly memorable excursion for us. I am delighted to recommend Discover Beijing Tours!

My wife, adult son, brither-in-law and I booked the 2 day private tour and it was great. Lucy was our tour guide and she was amazing - excellent English speech, extremely knowledgeable on Chinese history, and very enjoyable to spend 2 days with. All of the tour stops were quite interesting and no waiting in lines - also, no wasted time at shopping scams. The acrobatic show was incredible.

My daughter and I fully enjoyed every minute with Bella. It was truly a wonderful trip and Bella was a wonderful tour guide who was very knowledgeable and taught us so much. Thank you once again for setting up these tours for us. It made our time in Beijing truly memorable and wanting us to go back for more.

How long are the tours? When do you return? Is there a gluten free meal option?

The tours are typically 8 hours long. We came back by around 5pm every day. You can request your guide to take you to restaurants that offer a gluten free meal (but whether they take you there or not depends on the guide you get and how well he/she is aware of such places). I think it would be easier if you do your own research of which restaurants offer gluten free meals and ask your tour guide to take you there. Our guide was very accommodative with such requests (we are vegetarians and wanted to go to places that served vegetarian meals).
