Our day began with a nice surprise of an upgrade to a private tour. We were greeted at the scheduled time, in our hotel, by our lovely English-speaking tour guide Licia. The car was comfortable, and the driver was great. He provided us with cold water throughout the day and dropped us off at each location and picked us up promptly.
We toured the Summer Palace, Stopped for a lovely tea tasting and then lunch before going to the Great Wall.
It was so nice to have the private tour with the direct access to the very top. Our guide helped lead us directly to the lift line with our tickets and after a short wait, we were heading up to the top.
The views are spectacular, I wasn’t expecting all of the stairs, but it was a fun adventure. Our guide was so kind to get in line for us so we could easily go down the slide which was so fun! Highly recommend going down the slide.
Licia was so helpful in navigating Seamlessly the entrances and getting our tickets, she shared with us the history and was really fun to be around. Thoroughly enjoyed our day. We decided to hit the wall later in the day to avoid the crowd which was smart, but then hit traffic coming back. But we were comfortable in the car. Thanks for the great day!

We had a fantastic day trip, well planned by Beijing Tours. Thank you for not cancelling our tour even though we were the only ones who had booked that day. Thank you for the easy communication and a very special thank you to our tour guide Feng! He was fantastic and gave us lots of information. We had plenty of time to explore the Great Wall and the Summer Palace.
The only thing not worth mentioning was the sandwich at lunch. But the food wasn't that important to us! So no real points deducted!

This is a truly fun and informative day trip! Our guide Cindy was fantastic, she was very funny and helpful with tips as well as history about our destinations.
We were picked up from our hotel, had 2hr for climbing on the Great Wall, a delicious buffet lunch, a visit to an authentic Jade retailer and quality souvenir shop, and then a lovely walk around the Summer Palace where Cindy took us to the best photo spots and places with the richest history.
I absolutely recommend this tour

Cindy was an amazing tour guide! We got to see the Great Wall and also the Summer Palace with a free lunch!
Throughout the day she informed us of all the history and also gave us tips for the rest of our Beijing trip!
Highly recommend booking your tour of Beijing with Cindy!!

We booked a small group tour but it ended up being a private tour with a new car as we were the only group. Jessie, our guide was lively and informative. She encouraged us to go on the chairlift and toboggan which was a fun experience. We enjoyed the tour and had a lovely time.

The trip with Lucy was amazing! We went to the Mutianyu Great Wall and summer palace. Lucy was so kind, thoughtful, considerate, and knowledgeable. She made the trip significantly more enjoyable and pleasant. This was a highlight of our China experience. I would highly recommend booking this tour and asking for Lucy! We also appreciated her flexibility with my friend and my changing requests as we saw new tourist attractions within the summer palace.

We booked a day trip to Mutianyu Great Wall and Summer Palace. Our guide Alice Ji is the best , friendly approachable and most informative! From the time she fetched us from hotel with a driver at 7.30am till we reached back at 6pm ...she was very knowledgeable in history telling us about different provinces and history of old ..answering our queries in good spoken English. She took many pics of us and collated into an album for us and showed us the different parts of the wall with full explanation..even took video of us toboganing down . Lunch was a good buffet spread with a good intro of jade carving factory and tea appreciation thrown in free. Summer palace was so full of history stories .. Thankful to Alice showing us around the many significant buildings.. I would have been lost just going around myself. Wonderful quiet but fast driver with a comfortable car .Recommended tour ..will definitely book Alice when I go back to Beijing. . we have become friends in WeChat!!

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Alice, who was amazing from start to finish. This was our first visit to China for our honeymoon, and Alice was so informative and helpful. Her storytelling made the tour so enjoyable. We found the history of the Great Wall fascinating and the architecture within the Summer Palace so beautiful. We would definitely book with Discover Beijing Tours when visiting in future.
