No complaints at all. The Tour was a real treat however i had to cancel my first tour because I thought I will be travelling with my husband so I communicated by E-mail and the refund was credited back to my account in no time. Lots of interesting facts learnt and so much fun in the trip, Thank you for showing the best of China!

I'm not a fan of leaving bad reviews however I feel obliged to on this occasion as I read all the previous great comments about chinatours.net and booked with them accordingly.
I have just arrived back from a 1 day tour with Chinatours.net. I paid $120 for my trip to the great wall and forbidden city, which was advertised a transit tour departing from Beijing International airport. I was staying in the Crowne Plaza just 2km away from the airport and Jenny in the office agreed to collect me on route as I was close by.
I was advised on booking that I would be collected by the tour at my hotel in the morning of the departure and that I would receive a confirmed collection time the day before. This didn't happen, and I had to chase Jenny on WhatsApp for a collection time, which finally provided at 6:30pm. I was advised at this point that my tour guide was a lady called Linda, and I would be collected at 6:20am from my hotel. Expecting the tour bus to pick me up on route from the airport, I was surprised when a local man turned up at my hotel at 6:20 with my name on a board who then insisted on dropping me off outside a hotel in the town centre with no explanation. To my relief, a tour bus arrived 20 minutes later with Linda and the rest of the group on board.
It was at this point that I discovered that everyone else on the bus had paid just $40 for their tour (vs my $120). I emailed Jenny to make sure I was on the right tour, and she told me that the additional $80 I paid was for a private ride into town to meet the tour bus. Given that I had not requested a private ride into town (as I had booked an airport transit tour) I was not happy with this rather large additional charge. Transport is very cheap in Beijing and a ride from my hotel into town in a taxi would be no more than $10 each way. So to charge me $40 each way was unacceptable and quite frankly, daylight robbery.
Seeing as I had not requested a tour departing from the city in the first place, or a private ride, I disputed the charge.
As a goodwill gesture I agreed that I would pay the local rate of $10 each way as a but not $40 each way and that I would like a refund for the difference ($60). Jenny advised she would be prepared to refund me only $40 on the proviso that I paid for my own journey home from the city centre after the tour.
This was not a fair resolution in my opinion as I never asked for a private ride in the first place, nor did I book a tour departing the city centre. In the end I had to get the subway (a 1 hour journey) back to my hotel after the tour just to receive a few dollars (after bank charges) refund.
I don't believe that Chinatours.net are reasonable with their prices, nor are they forthcoming or transparent about what their charges are for. I paid double the price of that everyone else paid and I had to get the subway back to the airport! All in all quite a miserable experience.

I'm sorry to hear your experience, I'm Jenny who arranges your travel. Your travel date is August 25, 2019. The first time contacted us is December 7, 2018. You're looking for Beijing Layover Group tour that at least two passengers available book it. After i know private tour exceeds your budget, I tried to help you join group tour on your budget. Beijing layover private tour cost US$240 for 1 person and 120 per person for group tours. I've arranged a private transfer for you (NOT a taxi ) for $40. Friends who have been to Beijing know that it costs $45 or $50 to book an airport to a hotel transfer. I don't know where you know that it only costs $10, even if it was impossible 10 years ago. Because of the Language difficulties, it is not easy took taxi and waste time. And you can check the email we communicate with has been written clearly by the driver to pick you up and join the group. From your guide, you request refund the transfer fee and you choose to go back by yourself, we did refund you $40 immediately not a few dollars. You paid through PayPal, and PayPal doesn't charged handling fee.
I am also helpless that my kindness makes it easy for you to joined group tour In return is your complaints. As for our good reviews, all of them are from my team and our professional tour guides with sincere, best service and authenticity.
Best Regard
Jenny

Jenny has been a fantastic tour guide and taken care of all of the planning for our trip. We just had to show up and she handled the rest, giving us a good overview of the history along our tour. I would recommend Jenny to a friend

Myself and the three other ladies I was traveling with had the most amazing time on our full day tour of Beijing. Everything from when we were picked up from our hotel to the moment we were dropped back off went smoothly. Our tour guide, Flower, was exceptional, she was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. She went above and beyond for us and I am so grateful we were able to experience Beijing with her as our guide. Our driver was very safe and professional, we all felt comfortable being driven around by him for the day.
The tour was jam packed and gave us the opportunity to experience so many of the incredible sites Beijing has to offer. The cable car and toboggan ride at Mutianyu Great Wall was an unforgettable experience!! There are so many highlights and I could go on and on about the wonderful day we had, if I ever return to China I will be sure to book with them again :)
In fact myself and one of the other girls loved this tour with Flower so much we signed up for an additional tour day with her two days later.
