My girlfriend and I very much enjoyed the tour of the forbidden city! It started by walking through the Tiananmen Square, where Lucy gave us a lot of history of the country and the government that was relevant to the buildings around us. We then entered the Forbidden City and it’s really something you have to see for yourself! (As an added bonus with a Lucy we didn’t have to wait for security which easily saved 30 minutes). Lucy was constantly engaging us with history, stories, anecdotes, and much more. She also knew the best spots for pictures! It was a lot of walking and we didn’t want to stop! Thank you to Lucy, make sure to choose her for the best private tour you can get!

It was a day with temps in mid 30s and humidity around 60. We started at 10 am, from our hotel walking distance to Tienanmen. Jimmy was on time, cheerful, knowledgeable and had initiative. We'd not booked anything advance - not too big a risk in off-peak - but things were thrown slightly awry by peeps for 70th anniversary of the revolution around the square. Jimmy navigated, and we had a tiring, sweltering but fulfilling 4 hour tour. Highly recommended.

We actually had a 4 hour tour and it was awesome. Our tour guide, Jimmy was perfect. He was very informative and helpful. We avoided long lines and learned so much. I would highly recommend this tour.

My friend and I had thought we might have done this tour by ourselves as our hotel was not far away but we were really pleased that we changed our minds and were fortunate to have a terrific guide in Jing. Her lovely bubbly nature and informative conversation made this tour very worth while. The Forbidden City was and unexpected highlight of our short stay in Beijing.

We did actually two tours with Jimmy. Last year I did this tour with my partner, my sister and mother. We had a tight schedule since we squeezed the tour between a Great Wall camping night and our departure time to Shanghai. Jimmy was very kind and flexible to fit the tour to our requirements. He is full of interesting information he is happy to share and to answer questions. This year the parents of my partner traveled to Beijing and we recommended Jimmy and the tour. It was amazing again. Jimmy was very caring and made the tour as interesting as he made it for us. It’s amazing how much history is behind the forbidden city and Jimmy can give the perfect insights to it. Thanks again Jimmy! We will send the next visitors to you as well;-)

We actually did the 4 hour tour of Tiananmen Square & Forbidden City. It was amazing and the amount of history between both places that Lucy told us about was impressive.
Without her on this tour we would've been lost completely.

Our private tour was a huge experience. Our guide Lucy was very friendly and she had great knowledge, not only about the forbidden city, but about Chinese history in general. Will highly recommend.

Great half day learning one of china's famous historic site. Our tour guide Jimmy was very knowledgable and spoke English fluently. Wonderful talking to him about the historic significance of the sites: Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

Jing was the sweetest tour guide! - Unbeknownst to us T. Square was closed the morning we went. Greece dignitary in town and they do not announce it ahead of time they just fly the visiting countries flag! But, what a fantastic tour of the forbidden city. She was very knowable and was able to answer anything we wanted to know. She always kept an eye on us in the crowds...…. Jing was prompt and courteous. We have decide the private tours are they was to go!

My colleague and I only had 6 hours before we had to depart Beijing so I arranged this quick 2 hour tour. I was a bit nervous because I didn't want to disappoint my partner. Becky was our tour guide. She showed up on time and took us to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. She was very personable and her English was great. She spent time taking our photos and telling us some interesting stories about the sights. She spent extra time with us and went out of her way to arrange a car back to the hotel for us even though these extras weren't part of the package. I would definitely send my family and friends to her in the future!
