哎呀！实在是不建议去这行程，一上车就要加价，电话和饭店广告的价格通通要再加价150元人民币，坑杀游客也就算了，连自己同胞也坑杀，太令人伤心了！形成只去了一个八达岭长城，要另外收费。其他观光景点全部都是绕着外面远观，只带游客去买蛇纹…

I did this hike with my husband and my parents who are in their mid 50’s and very active. Our guide was Rico and we had a spectacular time! He and the driver were prompt in the morning to pick-up at our hotel and the day’s expectations and schedule were made clear from the beginning. Rico continually checked with our group to make sure the pace he was hiking was good for everyone. The Jiankou hike is easily doable in athletic shoes as long as they have some grip/tread. This hike is a great way to see both the beauty of the wild and restored Great Wall. If you have trouble going down many stairs or with your knees I would suggest taking the tram down at Mutianyu, otherwise there are a ton of stairs. After our hike we had lunch at a local restaurant, who served really great food. We learned a lot from Rico who was very willing to answer any questions about the Great Wall and generally about Chinese culture!

Thank you for leaving us a wonderful feedback! Rico is good at hiking and experienced to take guests to hike the Great Wall. Jiankou section is the most original part of the Wall and full of history. We are so happy you enjoyed the hiking tour and hope you have a nice memory of Beijing!

I had an amazing hike with my father, and it just made it better that it was with our tour guide Dennis. I can highly recommend him to anyone. Overall this is a must do if visiting Beijing!

This was an excellent tour with a guide that knew the way. The hike up was really long but worth it to see wilder and unrestored portions of the wall. The restored portions with its Disney-esque themepark vibe was interesting to see by contrast. Getting to the wall like this is really only feasible with a guide like this. Going up in the fall in the best time as it's cooler, fewer crowds outside the festival days and weekends, and the leaves are turning.

We are so glad to know that you had an excellent time with our one-day Great Wall hiking tour! This breathtaking Jiankou section is totally unrestored, you have seen the most original look of the Great Wall. It's the first time to hear from the guest saying that the Great Wall is similar to Disney-esque themepark vibe. How imaginative you are and thanks for your great feedback! Great tour, you get to experience the Great Wall of China without tourists. The Wild Wall is simply incredible. Can also recommend the guide, Bob Chen, he was very knowledgeable and it made the hike up smooth with all his stories and facts about China.

BEST HIKE EVER!! Highly recommend for anyone looking to hike for a day at the Great Wall. This tour allows you to see the untouched portions of the wall where trees and plants were covering the remains of the wall. This is an unforgettable and unique way to see the Great Wall. There were several times we were the only people in sight and the views were breathtaking. After the untouched portions, we made our way to the retouched section where more tourists were. The views were equally as amazing, but I cannot stress enough how awesome it was to see that after hiking through the wild untouched portions. After finishing our hike, we had a delicious Chinese lunch nearby. Overall, it was the perfect day spent at the Great Wall.
We were accompanied by Bob Chen, an incredible tour guide! He provided history about the Great Wall and Beijing, answered any of our questions, and was the best photographer. Bob also was very accommodating and waited as long as we wanted at certain sections. We loved Bob and would without a doubt book this tour again!!!

We are so glad to hear that you had a wonderful time in our Jiankou Great Wall Hiking tour with your guide Bob. Due to the Jiankou section has not been developed yet, it's original, wild and few people to visit. Also it's a little dangerous and steep, but how brave you are to challenge this section! Bob is experienced at hiking, and he loves to take some nice photos for the guests on this beautiful Great Wall views. Hope you have some best memories in Beijing. Looking forward to your next booking!

A great adventure to walk the mythical great wall of China. An extra bonus is the fact of being able to do it for both environments. The wild, absorbed by nature and also by the repaired, where the wall is seen in perfect condition. Tiring moments but worth it. I am 18 kg overweight, and I could do it, you too, but be careful that there are steep and slippery sections. Our guide Rico, gave us an excellent tour, with patience to take photos and then gave us a very good quality lunch. I recommend it if you like to walk in nature. Bring mosquito repellent!
Do it, which then goes back to sedentary lifestyle.

Great! The Jiankou section of th Great Wall is the most natural and wildest part. You can see the most original look of the Great Wall, also it's challenging for the guests. Rico is good at hiking and very experienced to ensure the guests's safe. Hope you also have taken a lot of beautiful photos on the tour!

It was a challenging, but rewarding hike led by Bob Chen, our local guide. There were 4 of us on this hike, excluding Bob. It felt like going on a hike with people you’d have known, Bob shared a lot not only about the Great Wall but also his experiences. He’s super friendly and thoughtful; he made sure we had enough rest, take photos at the nice spots. He’s also fluent in English. Wouldn’t have enjoyed this trip any other way!
Would definitely recommend my friends to join this hike with Bob Chen in the future!

As the Jiankou-Mutinianyu section currently undergoes construction and restauration works this section was closed for hiking. So as alternative our guide Bob Chen led our family to a 4 hour hike from Jinshanling to Simatai which was equally interesting and full of marvelleous sights. Other than in Badaling we were mostly alone on this section and although happened to have a rainy day it was still a wonderful experience.
Bob was a very attentive guide and we liked him talking about his everyday life and family very much. he could answer each and every question.
The whole day incl. hotel pick-up and lunch was perfectly organized and we would do it again in this way.

I had the best day visiting the Great Wall of China with my guide Bob. We went to a very quiet part of the wall and it was great! Great lunch as well.

We did the Jiankou to Mutianyu hike on 3.6. Everything seemed fine, but when we were supposed to start hiking from the village, we were stopped by local forest guard. This was not normal and the driver and our guide tried to argue with them, but it didn't go very well. They said there wasn't a deal between the travel companies and the local village and that it took effect that day we wanted to hike. We saw some other cars being turned away as well and when the guides talked together, they asked us if it was OK to take a 'secret path' which our group agreed to (our group was 4 people). When we wanted to start the hike from 'secret path', we were chased away by some local forest guards again. We then had no choice but to do the hike from Mutianyu. My wife got car sick on this way, since the roads were crazy and it was over 3.5 hours in car alltogether. When we arrived there, it was 11:15 and there were lots of tourists already. Reason we wanted to go from Jiankou was that we don't like tourists and it is supposed to be tourist-free, so we weren't very happy and my wife wasn't feeling well for the 1st hour of the hike. We did the Mutianyu part and ended in Jiankou and went back the same way, in the end it was a nice hike, except for the problems at start.
Our guide (Rico) was really nice, knowledgable and did his job really well.
Communication with Tracy was exceptional both before and after the tour. After hearing about our problems, we got offered compensation for our trip.
All in all, I think we were just unlucky and mistakes happen, it was the way they handled it that matters and I would totally recommend them.

Hi there,
I am interested in 1-Day Jiankou to Mutianyu Great Wall Hiking but is it possible to take Toboggan Run instead of taking bus or cable care coming down the great wall???
I know it is not included the tour but I want to experience the Toboggan Run at my own cost on the way down the Great wall.
I appreciate your valuable answer.
