Siu Wai was an excellent guide and created a packed agenda with so much delicious food, culturally interesting stops, and tons of information. I really enjoyed getting to try local places that otherwise as a tourist may have been intimidating. Siu also provided a lot of recommendations for other restaurants that we enjoyed during our stay in Hong Kong. Come hungry!!

We loved our Secret Food tour in Tin Hau Hong Kong with Sandy (Siu Wai). The food was delicious and varied, a great and well rounded sampling of deliciousness! The tour exceeded our expectations as it went beyond food and included a snapshot of the day in the life of ordinary people, their history, culture, and society. After just a short 3 hours, we felt like we had been provided with more depth of Hong Kong than possible given the short timeframe. Sandy's comprehensive coverage of the history of Hong Kong along with the curated tastings set the bar for our next food/history tour! We can't recommend her enough!

Terrible experience: they canceled my tour and refused to issue me a refund when I was 20 minutes late due to a taxi taking me to the wrong address. I was the only customer for the tour, so they could easily have given me time to get to the tour guide. Simply appalling. Be warned.

Excellent guide. Excellent communication and very pleasant and professional.Saw and experienced restaurants we would never have gone into.
Well paced. Small group. Visited other sights too. Learned a lot about the way local people live in Hong Kong.
Well worth it. Especially if staying in Grand Harbour area. 10 min easy walk from hotel.

We had a great time with Sandy on our walking food tour of Hong Kong's Tin Hau neighborhood. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to better understand Hong Kong through the lens of one of its historic neighborhoods (and all of the delicious food located there). Sandy is extremely knowledgeable about Hong Kong's food and overall culture - in addition to the amazing food, it was great to ask questions and discuss life and society in Hong Kong along the way.
The meals each showcase a different component of Hong Kong's food culture and are perfectly proportioned and spaced out (just don't eat breakfast beforehand). Sandy also provides instructions on the local way to enjoy the dishes, which helped us greatly later on in our trip. All-in-all, this tour is a must for any travelers wanting to get initiated into the Hong Kong food scene and get an introduction to the local culture!

Had a fantastic few hours with the lovely Siu Wai. I landed in Hong Kong early hours of the morning and made the mistake of eating a light breakfast - you get so much food during the tour and I was so full by the end - don't make the same mistake as me!

Our guide was very friendly and nice. However, before we entered the first restaurant, he mentioned that he personally doesn’t enjoy any of the food we would be tasting and would prefer fish and chips or McDonald’s. That level of honesty is somewhat refreshing, but perhaps not what you want to hear on a food tour.
The food we had on the tour was nice, and we received some interesting information about the locations and dishes, but it wasn’t in great detail or at the level I’m used to on a food tour. We later learned that our guide dislikes Hong Kong and didn’t know the area too well.
I want to make it clear that he was a nice guy and chatty; it just wasn’t as informative as I am accustomed to. The other tour members were very nice, and I got some good tips about other places to visit in the city from them. I also met another solo traveler, and we connected a few times afterward.
All in all, I don’t regret the tour, but I wouldn’t rave about it. To top it off, I received an email afterward saying, “Here’s the photo I promised you,” even though I hadn’t asked for one. The photo wasn’t even of me, which added to the overall feeling of disconnect.

Absolutely fantastic. This tour was one of the best food tours I have been on. Sandy was the perfect guide, that chose some very good places and told us a lot about Hong Kong. If you only have time for one food tour I will recommend this one. Don’t eat before you go, the portions were big
