We had an amazing time at the Tea Tasting and Pairing Concept Workshop at MingCha Tea House. Vanessa and Vivian were passionate, hilarious, and super knowledgeable. So grateful for them making my girlfirend’s birthday a special one. This workshop was one of the highlights of our 6 weeks in China. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Went there with a tea lover a coffee drinker and one in between and we all learned a lot. Vivian was our host and she did a great job making it a truly learning experience but also exciting and fun. We didn’t bring kids, but that was definitely a mistake, because Vivian is so inclusive that it would also be a great and welcoming experience for kids as well. Give yourself some time to find the place. See you next time we are in HK

The first experience of getting to know the various types of tea, from how to make tea to the brewing process, was explained directly by an expert accompanied by a video so that it was an unforgettable experience.

In the workshop, the instructor introduced us to various types of Chinese tea in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, yet they were also able to professionally answer our questions. Through the workshop, I learned the art of tea brewing, the classifications of tea, its history, production methods, and tasting techniques. Regardless of whether you have no prior knowledge of tea or already have some understanding, you can participate in the workshop. This is because the instructor can tailor the content to enhance your understanding of Chinese tea based on your current knowledge level. Most importantly, we were free to take photos and record videos throughout the process, which provided a truly fulfilling experience for both my friends and me.

This is a unique workshop. It's about more than what might think of as the bare minimum of tea tasting. It's also about experiencing, sharing and learning flavours, techniques and histories associated with tea. It was my birthday on the day we went, and they certainly made it special! Thank you so much!

Learning more about tea made my trip to Hong Kong even more enjoyable!
Chinese tea is a popular souvenir, but choosing tea after understanding how to brew it and pair it with other teas makes it an even more special experience. The staff were cheerful and we had a great time.
It was a little difficult to find the way to the shop, but we managed to find it by talking to a security guard. If you are participating, please do your best to find it. As an aside, in Hong Kong, many famous tea shops are located in one room of these apartment buildings, and it's like an RPG game.

I just started my tea journey this year, and signed up for the tea tasting and pairing workshop. I enjoyed Vivian's creative, unconventional attitude towards tea. The pairing selections we learned were nice, and something that I'll try to recreate at home. I did purchase a pack of jasmine blossoms and a tea sampler after the class, and am very happy with both products. The Jasmine Blossoms make for an amazing iced tea! I also especially enjoyed the 9-pack sampler of Mingcha's premium teas, which is something that I couldn't find at other tea shops that I visited while I was in Hong Kong.

Found Ming Cha by searching the best tea houses in Hong Kong and was not disappointed.
Vivian was helpful about my questions from the beginning. She provided an encouraging and positive atmosphere with her humorous way of introducing her craft to different types of people-- to someone like me, who has little knowledge about tea and to those like my partner who is a tea enthusiast. I learned a lot about brewing tea and my partner enjoyed discussing insights about tea with Vivian. We highly recommend this tea house for people who are starting to dive deeper in the world of tea drinking. Next time, we hope they could also provide tea seminars that will give us deeper insights on traditional Chinese tea culture just like how Vivian shared about the processes in making and brewing her Jasmine blossoms tea.

Have been a customer of Ming Cha for many years and recently visited again.
Tasted the white & red teas which were very special and have a very complex and deep taste.
As usual Vivian provided a wonderful tasting experience, sharing her in depth knowledge of tea as well as creating a fun and relaxing time.
Highly recommend a visit to Ming Cha for anyone who wants to taste and learn about tea.
