Highly recommend the small group tour with Kwang Wei!
We got to try an insane number of authentic and comprehensive dishes, and had so much fun learning about the neighborhoods and made some really unforgettable memories exchanging stories and tips with fellow tourists. We've had a lot of laksa before, but the laksa Kwang took us to was the best we've ever had!
Serious shout-out to Kwang for being such an incredible host. All the dishes he took us to were incredible. The pacing was perfect, and the information he provided about the food, neighborhoods, Singapore culture, and even Taylor Swift! were both informative as well as interesting. He also went above and beyond in managing everyone's food restrictions.
We've gone on a couple of food tours, and this was our favorite one! You'll get to try a lot more dishes than on your own, and honestly the spots that Kwang took us to were way tastier and more authentic than all the highly reviewed restaurants we had tried based on google reviews. Major thanks to Kwang for making our last day in Singapore such a blast :)

Thank you so much to Richard Kan for the most fantastic 6 hours of eating in Singapore - we loved it! While food is at the heart of this tour, there is plenty of time to walk, talk and learn more about Singapore past and present. There were 6 of us on the day we booked and this felt a great size -there was always plenty of food with no fear of missing out! We explored and tasted a range of different plates and tastes -there was no pressure to eat/drink something that didn't appeal, while equally there was always the option of more (you will not get hungry!). When booking, 6 hours seemed rather a long time, but this is a well paced tour that gives you the time to explore more than just one area of Singapore - with limited time in the city, this really appealed to us. We weren't disappointed - thank you Richard for a memorable day in your city. Celia and David.

Me and my partner had a fantastic time on the group food tour. We were bought the experience as a wedding gift and really didn’t know what to expect. It was great to visit 4 different districts in Singapore that we probably wouldn’t have gone to/stumbled across without a guide and it was really interesting to find out about the local area whilst trying a range of local foods. We were so full! Pamela was our guide and she was great. She was fun, made the tour really interesting and answered our thousands of questions. Would definitely recommend this experience!

Richard was an amazing tour guide!! We learned so much about the history of Singapore and the food that has become popular from the many different cultures that have immigrated there. We got to try so many different kinds of foods from many different types of places. This tour is definitely on the longer side, but if you love great food and learning about that food and the culture it comes from I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic food tour and this is why…
The guide - First of all a big shout out and thank you to our guide Su! She was fantastic. Showed us the best places and gave us some great tips. You will receive an email afterwards.
The tour - About the tour, we had a small group that we appreciated. Must of the tour is done by foot except for one part. We loved the fact that we went to different neighborhoods with different cuisine. Food and history were explained.
The food - We seriously liked everything. Yummm Of course you love something more than something else. Portions were big so not bad to share.
When we booked the tour we thought two things:
1) Waaaaay too early.
2) Waaaaay too long.
Well we couldn’t be more wrong. The time was fine and good to have one of our favorite dishes, those are only available in the morning. We had such amazing time it flew by. It was supposed to end at 3PM but we stayed until 4PM.
Whatever you do, come with an empty stomach. Because after eating all this food and drinks you will explode at the end.

We visited Sigapore for the first time and decided that we should experience the local food. We chose the Small Group Food Tour with Hawker Center: Eat Like A Local with our guide Su Ling. Our guide was well prepared. She had plates, bowls, spoons and wipes in case anyone needed it. There were six people in the group. We visited nine different restaurents and this included travelling by bus a couple of the stops and walking to the others. Su Ling included foods from all the various etnics groups in Singapore. All the meals were very good and she gave us the history behind each meal and Singapore itself. We enjoyed this tour very much and learned a lot about Singapore. We highly recommend this tour and expecially Su Ling as your guide.

My husband and I attended this food tour and we really enjoyed the experience. The group size of 8 was just right and i would not want there to be a bigger group. We ate so many good foods and the guide was wonderful with her explanations of each food and location we visited. i would recommend others to try this experience.

Hello, we are a family of four and two people need to eat gluten free. Will there be much for the two to try? Singapore does not seem gluten free friendly. Thank you for your help

I’m not sure, as I was a solo traveler and there were no children within our group. However, I don’t think that the tour is ideal for children under the age of 6 since you would need to walk and hop on public transportation in hot/rainy weather for around 6 hours.

Not really. There are (cramped) staircases that must be climbed to get to at least two of the 2nd-fl eateries on this tour, and I didn’t see any lift/elevator options. And I’d say that at about 3 of the 7 stops the food on offer wasn’t vegetarian. But then there were no vegetarians in our group, so it’s possible other options could’ve been offered if there had been.

I would very much like to take this tour but the remarks by the agency upon confirmation may scare me off. My husband and I are in our 70s, we love to explore cities by walking. We have regularly walked 5-6 miles a day in NYC, Disneyworld and many other places in the world as recently as 2 weeks ago. I would like to know how fast a pace we are expected to maintain on this tour. 2miles does not seem like that much as long as it isn't at a fast walk or jogging rate, and some breaks in between .Please give us guidance because we really want to participate and don't want to spend double the price for a private tour which they suggested if we felt we can't keep up. Thank you!

I think you could do the tour just fine. There are frequent stops, including sitting down to eat a few times. You don't walk the whole tour - you ride the bus a couple of times. Go for it!
