This was our second trek on the Inca Trail with Bamba. We had such a fantastic experience with our daughter 4 years ago, that we made sure to book with Bamba again when we took our boys (ages 10 & 16) last week. Our guide was Francisco, and I can't say enough good things about him. We felt like we were saying goodbye to a dear friend by the end of the trek. He is full of passion, pride, and knowledge about the Andean way of life, and we valued every bit that he shared with us. He gave particular attention to my 10-year-old son, and they were two men on the trail together almost the entire time. This took much of the stress off of my husband and me, as our son was eager to spend time with Francisco and learn from him and they kept a nice pace together. I am so grateful for the friendship that they formed on this incredible hike.
The porters are sweet, incredibly hard-working and supportive. The chef is incredible. There is always more than enough food and everything was absolutely delicious. This company is 2/2 for exceptional service in our experience, and would highly recommend them. Francisco is a star and a great asset to Bamba, and all of his guests on the trail are in luck!

Francisco is a legend

Francisco was an incredible guide! Hes super friendly, funny and caring. Myself and my partner was sick before the trek had started and he was always checking in with us to make sure was was ok and always stopping for us to keep up, he made us hot tea to settle our stomachs. He is full of knowledge we learnt a lot from him hes always happy to answer any questions and you can tell he is so passionate about what he does which makes the experience ever more enjoyable. As for the porters they are hands down the most hard working people we have ever crossed, all super friendly and lovely people. Make sure to tip everyone at the end you will see how hard working they all are. Hands down an amazing experience.

I did this Inca trail trek that I always wanted, it was one of my best wishes come true, the weather is the only one that was not good but the guides and the staff and the rest of the service were good enough

Awesome Experience with a Fantastic Company’

Excellent company - would highly recommend. Food was incredibly delicious (Walter the Chef!), and Alvin and Toro were both awesome guides to have along the trek - very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Would highly recommend to others.

Travel the Andi high mountain and meet those that live there. Followed by the amazing Inca trail.
The Andi high mountain has its own calm and charm that i would very much recommend. On the way you meet those that live there virtually unchanged sins the Inca time. Walking the Inca trail speaks for it self. A great contrast with it's tropical climate. And with Machu Picchu as it's grate finale! Also a bonus to have a great guide. A big thanks to Francisco, a very knowledgeable guide.

4-Day inka trail
The porters and guide made this experience what it was, the guide frank was very knowledgeable and inclusive of the porters. The whole team worked extremely hard to make this a seamless experience. A great way to see some spectacular inka ruins and the inka trail in itself is mind blowing. It was really special getting to know frank and his team of porters, I appreciated the effort frank put into introducing us to the porters. Cristobal the chief, the meals he made were some of the best meals I’ve had in South America his assistant chef Mario and waiter Lucio were great too. A big special thanks to the other porters - Fernando, Nazario, Nloolás, Grimaldo, Araustin, Cipriano and Claudio. This team worked so unbelievably hard, and made this trip extra special. Thank you!

Recommend this experience to anyone. The trek itself was absolutely amazing but would not have been close to as good without the best guide ever, Percy!
He made our hike fun, educational and personal. We went up as 2 gringos and a guide and went down as 3 friends.
If you can get Percy as a guide consider yourself lucky!!
The service on the mountain is also tiptop thanks to the porters who are with you the whole time.

Percy made our entire trip incredible! From his knowledge of the environment, the plant life, animal life, Inca history, etc. our trip was like an entire university course in 4 days (that was actually fun!!!). The food and service provided was also amazing. It was impossible to find something negative about this experience.

If you get Percy as a guide, you are in for a journey of a lifetime. Yes it’s hard, but nothing great is ever easy. Have fun and enjoy every moment, it goes by to fast!

The chef and porters made this experience a lot more pleasant then it would have been otherwise. The guides were knowledgeable about the history and were able to answer any questions that came up. They were able to help me accomplish something that I never thought I would be able to perform.

Very personable experience thanks to guide Francisco

We were lucky and only our party of 3 was hiking with our excellent guide Francisco. The porters and the cook Benny were very professional and they were spot on in terms of food and water needs. The trip brought us so much joy and adventure and was very doable as Francisco inspired and encouraged us to take in the Andes mountains with every step. Highly recommended!
