Zero complaints about this tour. Just book more than a month early so you can get access to the circuit with the famous picture. If you don't, it's still amazing but some may really want this. Things were well organized and smoothe. Just prepare for a long day. 4am until 8pm. There are places to eat along the way as well so no worries there. Well worth the price for this tour.

Went back in May so the review is long overdue. Great experience - pickup, train, bus to Machu Picchu - everything was on time and the guide we had in Machu Picchu was great as well - very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the rich history of the region with the group. It's a long day trip from Cusco, no getting around that, but it's still a great way to experience Machu Picchu when you're short on time. 100% would recommend.

Machu Picchu cumplió con mis expectativas, un lugar demasiado mágico.
Lo que podría recomendar para poder observarlo mucho mejor es subir a la montaña cerca del medio día para una vista más despejada ya que al amanecer suele estar más nublado.

Very happy about the whole experience with VIPAC. Local tour operator sent us several messages the day before to notify us of his arrival time at our hotel. Private van took us directly to the train station where we began the two-hour bus trip to another train station to board the train to Machu Picchu. Everything was so well coordinated. The guide at Machu Picchu was also knowledgeable and courteous. A very memorable day! Highly recommended!

Machu Picchu was amazing ! I got to see a good amount of it. The tour guide was insightful.
The only downside is all of the transportation to take to get there. So it felt a little rushed once the tour started. Nonetheless, worth it.
Pacific tours were very organized and communicated very well and frequently.

Actually my general experience deserves 5 star but 1 day prior to my attraction I got mad with communication, it was very difficult to put in contact to my responsible tour guide (I mean who supposed to pick me up from my hotel not my guide in Machu Picchu, he was excellent), other than that from my booking to end of my tour I really enjoyed their service and definitely recommend.

Everything was seamless and well planned. Ronald the guide at Macchu Picchu was very knowledgeable and made the experience much more memorable for my mom and I. It is a long day but knowing that we were taken care of during each step of the way made the process stress free. Thank you!
My only piece of feedback is, I think it would be helpful to know the time of pickup at least 48 hours sooner.

We booked through travel agent Vipac Peru. But you can book through internet directly. You need to book three things
1 train from Cuzco to Poroy
2 bus from Poroy to Machu Picchu
3 entrance to Machu Picchu.
And return tickets in the same manner.

One in our group uses a cane to walk and has some mobility issues. Would this be a difficult experience or are they places to sit back while the others go ahead?

Most of the site is flat and walkable although there are some uneven areas and even a small amount of climbing steps. At this altitude, it may be difficult for some with mobility issues.

Hi Ken. so sorry for the late reply. I hope you had a nice trip to Machu Picchu. Usually they aren't refundable if rains or even the train breaks down. Make sure to get full explanation from the tickets seller... ask all waht you would like before.

Hello. Please help me understand how the new restrictions for maximum number of people allowed to enter each day is being managed by your tour group. As well, as the window to enter is now only an HOUR versus "morning" "afternoon", how can you ensure we can get the train, the bus and the hike completed to be at the right spot for that hour we booked?
"Tickets were formerly for half-day blocks — either morning or afternoon. Now, visitors buy tickets for specific hours.
'If you have a ticket for 10 a.m., you have to enter between 10 and 11 a.m.,' said Bastante, who added that if travelers show up outside of their timeframe, they 'cannot enter.' " This was outlined in a report from CNBC Sept 6 2021 called what-to-know-about-planning-a-trip-to-machu-picchu-after-the-pandemic

Hi there, unless the restrictions and time frames for visiting the sanctuary have improved, meaning allowing more time... the best for sure is to consider stay overnight in Machu Picchu town... in our case it was very hectic and without the help from our tour operator we'd missed the bus to reach there after the train... bus is the main issue for accessing the marvel. Also the trains are in really bad condition... in our way back to Cusco it broke down and we lost the activity for the next day, because arrived Cusco very late.
Also if you would like to visit the sanctuary including climbing/hiking the nearby mountains (very nice treks) this is not possible in one day trip... access to the hiking trails close early morning (around 9am)...
On the other hand is a place worth to visit once in a lifetime...
