**The 2 star rating is for this deal not the trip or tour guide itself. Those were all great. **
Machu Pichu is a picture perfect destination, the tour within the city was great, however the process after the tour was confusing.
This package includes pickup and drop off but the tour itself is only about 2-2.5 hours and this package was a whole day event. In other words from the time our tour was over we needed to kill about 3 hours before we could catch the train back to Cusco. The train ride back was about 2 hours longer than the initial ride because we were getting dropped off in a different area than from our pickup, we didn’t know why.
From the train station a bus is supposed to have picked us up, but they left us after I went into the restroom for 5 minutes, luckily we caught a taxi.
If you are going to Machu Pichu buy your ticket in advance, get to the train station early and book your guide at the site. It would be a lot cheaper and you don’t have to wait on anyone’s schedule, just my opinion.

1. We had reference number 956114038 for 4:00am, to do the 8am visit. We also received an updated booking reference BR-956114038 that didn’t mention a change. We received a message the evening before the tour, with changes in times. The delivered message scheduled us for the last showing, at 2pm. Why was this a problem, many additional places that we wanted to visit were closed. I have photos showing the operating times of closed events.
2. When the evening before notice was given, we thought that all the tickets necessary to complete this tour would be sent. Before leaving the hotel (driver was late), we did not receive the bus tickets to Machu Picchu. We also didn’t receive any further information. We didn’t know who Pedro was, or what he looked like. We noticed other tour groups were gathering in the plaza at the train station. We looked outside of the train station area. But we didn’t see a white flag. We were over an hour early at the train drop off, maybe 75 minutes, and saw the 1pm tours from other groups leave. We started to panic at 1:45pm we asked 15 employees working there for help, but they could speak English. We finally found one could and he called Oswaldo. He informed us that Pedro was waiting at the bus stop. For which we struggled again to find that, not obvious, and no signs from the train exit. When we got there, we hoped we could on the next bus, but we had no tickets. It took two missed buses before we got printed tickets, to get on a third. We arrived at Machu Picchu at 3:38. I was told (by Oswaldo) that we would get a 2-full hour tour, with a professional English speaking guide. There were no guides for hire left, so wandered for 1 hour and 15 minutes without a guide. Also, we found that we missed events that we would have seen in earlier tours. We paid paid expecting these events. Oswaldo said the only event tickets open were 12, 1 and 2 pm were left. He chose, without asking us, the 2pm ticket. If we had the Noon ticket, we could of still been there 2 hours, and see some other closed trails, purchase a guide, and got our passport stamp.
3. Our return train ticket was booked with my brother and myself in the same seat. The train office reseated us in a very noisy car “F”. For 45 minutes plus, there was loud laughing and shouting. With many attempts by staff, to quiet them down, it wasn’t until a passenger video tapped them and told them they were reporting this to the company, an a threat to disembark them at the first opportunity, that they quieted down.
4. We purchased three adults tickets for $934.56 total. We feel that an unguided tour, for less than two hours, where the “meat” of this tour was Machu Picchu, was due to decisions made without our input (a fault of the company). We also feel that some reimbursement or compensation is in order.

We send them all the tickets...I have images that our guide was waiting for them from the time they arrived...they never left the station until at 2:45 p.m. someone called me indicating that they had arrived 2 hours after their arrival. .. that never happened to us with any client ... all your train tickets, tickets and buses were sent to your wathsapp you were able to check them from the entrance that was sent several days before you were never interested in calling us

Oswaldo nos atendeu muito bem e nos deu todas as coordenadas. Os transfers e guias foram maravilhosos, nos orientando em tudo e proporcionando uma viagem maravilhosa. Recomendo a compra de um chip peruando para poder estar em constante comunicação.

Terrible organization. Last minute we were told we had to buy our own tickets and no one was alongside our group to assist us. We had to get the money back from the organizer. The pickup driver got lost in finding our Airbnb. I asked if he was using GPS as there are two streets with the same name as ours. After chatting with the other guests, the driver couldn't find anyone on time. Bus transportation up to Machu Picchu was also missing from our reservation. We had to pay out of pocket and once again connect with the organizer to receive that money back. The only good thing out of this package was the tour guide they outsourced. Book with another organizer.

Cumplió con todo lo acordado. Recogida en el hotel muy temprano en Cusco, trayecto en bus hasta ollantaytambo de donde salia el tren a aguas calientes. En mi caso no tenia el ticket de ingreso a Machupichu y de acuerdo a lo que nos habían explicado previamente, obtuvimos el ticket de ingreso ahi en aguas calientes, en el turno de las 12. Dentro del parque tuvimos la compañia del guia e hicimos el circuito 2 que es de los mas largos y comunes, todo muy bien. Tren de vuelta a ollantaymbo, bus de vuelta a Cusco. Recomendado

Our tour operator was fantastic. There was a lot of communication ahead of the trip and plenty of people on the team at each step to guide you along.
When I missed my return train, our operator worked extra to secure our ride back in to Cusco.
I was very concerned because we did not have tickets to Machu Picchu ahead of time but the team got us in line for the daily tickets and we were able to see this wonderful site.
Had we not chosen this tour option, we would have missed Machu Picchu… which is something you should never do when visiting Peru.
When I missed my return train, our operator worked extra to secure our ride back in to Cusco.
I was very concerned because we did not have tickets to Machu Picchu ahead of time but the team got us in line for the daily tickets and we were able to see this wonderful site.
Had we not chosen this tour option, we would have missed Machu Picchu… which is something you should never do when visiting Peru.

Are children allowed on this tour? I have 8 and 4 year old children that will be going as well.

Yes children are allowed but the steps are very uneven and may make the 4 yr old very tired very quickly. The 8yr old will be okay. Also you can verify with any agent selling tickets about the youngest
