We booked this tour through Peru Hop. Everything was great from the communication prior to the tour, to pick up from hotel in Cusco, and drop off in Ollantaytambo. Our guide Ronald was excellent in explaining the history and facts about each site. His English was perfect, and even when he spoke Spanish he spoke slowly to where we could understand it. Between Pisac and Ollantaytambo we stopped for lunch which was buffet style and very delicious. We stayed in Ollantaytambo, so we missed the last stop Chinchero but we were able to bring our luggage along.

Wonderful sites. We did not make it all the way to all the sites. We have a private van and driver because we wanted to start our day a little later and not be in a cattle car. BUT we also didn't see all the sites. The roads are quite an adventure even for the most seasoned traveler.

Dear Sir
It is a shame to see your comment, I am very sorry if we were not up to your expectations, but I consider that we do not deserve it for many reasons and I will expose it again just as we did directly with you:
One day before the tour, we sent you an email informing you of your pick-up time at 7:20 a.m., we never received a reply to the message, anyway we went at that time, when the guide arrived, asked the reception and they were to look for your room and other areas of the hotel but you were not present, so we assumed that you did not read the message and maybe went out to buy something before the original time (7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.), after 20 min the guide returned to look for you at your hotel and you were not present either, the receptionist did not know anything either, but his name was in the hotel register, then we took photos to certify that you were not in the hotel and our guide tourist proceeded to leave the hotel to return to the van that was a block away due to the order of hotel pickups according to location, when Fredy (our guide) was on his way to the van, he saw a tourist standing in a corner and just in case he asked for you, and yes, it was you, and logically he said that we came to look for you 2 times at the hotel and we did not find you there, so he said that they would have to walk one more block to board the van, but instead of To receive an apology you began to shout annoyed at why they did not come to the same hotel, but the guide explains to you that we had already come twice and therefore you had to wait at the door or the lobby, neither did you confirmed the message that you read warning that the pick up was 7:20, according to the policies of finding local trips and even ours, if the client does not wait at the agreed place at the agreed time it is considered noshow, you were not at the hotel at any of the times indicated and also did not notify the reception that you were half a block away waiting.
Despite not being our fault, and seeing how you shouted in the street, in front of other clients too, we even told you that we would return your money because you were upset, and our main mission is to see our customers happy with our service, and since we didn't see it that way, we wanted to give you back what you paid, even knowing it wasn't our fault, in any aspect. but you did not want to accept it, anyway the tour came out as always, respecting the times and the quality of service we offer.
It is a shame to have to read this type of comment, when we did everything humanly possible to locate you and you were not at the indicated times in the agreed place, anyway we appreciate your time in writing your comment and we will try to improve each more time
Blessings
Gentile signore
Bendiciones

We booked this trip via findlocaltrips.com which was highly recommended by PeruHop we came in from Lima and we had an amazing time!
Communication was great prior to pickup and on actual day, pickup was prompt although we didn't like the fact we drove around central Cusco for next 30mins picking up other passengers. It would probably have been easier to meet at a central location instead of an early morning 'Cusco city tour' with nothing exciting to look at.
Mihail (Miha) was our guide and he was great from onset. He was very friendly and knowledgable and shared many interesting facts and stories along the way. Our 1st stop was in Pisaq to a local Silver shop where they showed us how they produce silver jewellery with different precious stones and more importantly, banos stop before we head to ancient Pisaq Inka site which was a sight to behold. Buffet lunch at Urubumba followed after and it was delicious with great variety. A short drive later and we were at Ollantaytambo - another awesome Inka site! Followed by a stop at highest altitude of the day - Chinchero crafts market where they showed us how they produced local craft and slight pressure into buying something which i was happy to support local trade. We finished the excursion with a quick look at a still-in-process restoration site.
Overall, a really great day! We were lucky with weather and Miha was one of the best guides we've crossed paths with. I highly recommend this tour!

It was an entire day tour. The pace wAs nice and the guide did a good job in explaining the sites. He brought us to a “local” shop to shop for scarf and the shop demonstrate how the wool was dye and spin.

We booked two tours with Kantu Peru Tours via Peru Hop affiliate (findlocaltrips.com). The first tour/day was a Sacred Valley tour (Pisac, Ollantaytambo & Chinchero) and the second tour/day was Moray & Maras.
Sacred Valley Tour - Initially I received no communication from Kantu on our early morning pickup. I sent a Whatsapp message to 3 different numbers listed on their site at 5:40 PM the evening before our first tour asking for a pickup time or information. They did reply with a time after I asked them about it. The pickup the next morning was exactly when they said it would be and the van was clearly marked Kantu Peru Tours. The guide Julio was humorous and informative. I would take another tour with him. The driver was in a huge hurry. He constantly sped past other vehicles, sometimes large trucks and on blind curves. There seemed to be confusion with some of the other passengers about tickets into the sites. I think communication issues are a problem with Kantu. We stopped at Pisac and toured the site then headed to Urubamba for lunch. The majority of the group was taken to the Alhambra restaurant while two other small groups were taken to two other restaurants. The Alhambra restaurant buffet lunch was excellent. There was a large variety of local dishes, courses and desserts. Coffee and teas were available. Lunch was included and all we had to pay extra for was our drinks. After lunch we headed to Ollantaytambo for a long tour. The guides are very good at timing the areas and trying to avoid the crowds (if that is possible). There is a huge train of tour vans and you end up seeing the same people at each Sacred Valley site. After Ollantaytambo we headed back to Cusco with the last stop at Chinchero. The major focus of this stop seems to be funneling tourists through the craft markets to sell things. We were taken to a textile cooperative and given an informative demonstration of the wool process. There's even a joke about the "tourist bone" taken from the tourist who didn't buy anything. It's a high pressure sales event after the speech. We were also taken to a local silversmith workshop and given an informative tour followed by another high pressure sales event. We never had the opportunity to tour the Chinchero site. Our Boleto Touristico remains un-punched for the site. What they did is drive the van onto an adjacent side road where you could view the site instead. This must be common practice with the tours because there were about 6-8 kids selling keychains at the spot. I wish these tours would focus more on touring the sites and less on passing the tourists through craft shops. The day ended with a drop off on time at San Francisco Square. The guide didn't give the standard tipping speech, which was unusual (we tipped him for the great job anyway).
The day 2 Moray & Maras tour started off punctual again, but the van that pulled up was from another company called Cusi Tours. I would not have gotten on except the driver showed me a list with our name on it. I sent a message via Whatsapp to Kantu and didn't hear a reply until that evening. I think we were transferred to another tour company. The guide had a different shirt on, but he turned out to be an excellent and well informed guide. He also knew how to best avoid the majority of the crowds. This driver was more relaxed than the previous day's driver and didn't speed around. We had to endure a second stop in Chinchero at a different textile cooperative that included the jewelry at the same shop. It was interesting to see the presentation for a second time in a new location with the exact same speech and exact same jokes. I think all of the cooperatives must train together. We went to Moray first and had ample time to tour the site. The guide even did one tour in Spanish and a second one in English during the time there. Then we went to Maras and had an excellent tour there. We were dropped off punctually at San Francisco Square. Again this guide didn't pitch for tipping, but we tipped him well.

I booked this tour with my family so it was an awesome, private experience. We were able to see many of the ruins further outside of Cusco that we otherwise would not have been able to see on our own. Our guide timed it so we reached the ruins at times when there were fewer other tourists which was great. Our stop at the textile center was very interesting and informative, we were able to see how the alpaca and sheep wool is dyed naturally and saw a weaving demonstration. Definitely recommend.
