Wonderful experience. Long run, and height of 5,036 meters above sea level. Wear good coat, gloves, scarf, hat, water. Not suitable for hearts or people with lower extremity problems. Peruvians are well aware of their “tourism culture”, that is, they cater well to tourists.

Stunning views, out of this world. ATVs were fun and felt safe, good value, guide was good, food was good
If I could change one thing I would've liked to drive the ATVs faster but I get the priority of safety- still an awesome experience would recommend

We booked this tour 2 days out through Viator. Communication via WhatsApp with the tour company around pick up time from the hotel and recommendations they provided for what to being/wear was on point the night prior. They picked us up on time at 3:40am in Cusco. We stopped for breakfast and lunch at the same place (all tours to this mountain stop here). There was a variety of food available, nothing fancy but enough to keep you going. Also had a shop there to buy beanies, gloves etc as it was cold on the mountain. Once we got the ATVs, our guide Edgar showed us everything, provided safety information and gear and we had a practice drive up the road. Then we were off and up the mountain. We stopped for photos along the way. There is an additional cost of 25 soles pp to get to the next part. Instead of walking the last part we opted to pay 90 soles pp for a round trip on the back of a motorcycle and got up there in minutes. We then only had one hill to climb to the absolute top which took a few minutes (altitude definitely slows you down). Edgar took tons of photos of us and explained some information about the mountain and people. There was no waiting around, Edgar and the driver were both very punctual and helpful. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to see Rainbow Mountain without having to hike and battle the altitude.

The landscapes we saw were breathtaking, some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever encountered. The entire journey was smooth and well-organized.
A special shoutout to the driver Bonifacio, who made the commute pleasant, and to the guide Edgar, who taught us how to drive safely the ATVs, and helped us taking great pictures at the top of rainbow mountain.

I recommend it 100%, since before my arrival in Cusco I already felt confident and clear about what I needed for my excursion thanks to being contacted by whatsapp, Roger and Edgar met me at my hotel at the time they indicated, they took us to breakfast buffet style, then we went to the mountain, I recommend that they have enough cash for the different stops that include bathrooms, drinks and snacks and for the entrance to the mountain that are 25 suns per person, I was very exhausted but my Guide, Edgar, was always by my side and stayed at my pace. Then they took us to lunch, also buffet style and left us in front of our hotels. I had a brutal time.

Our tour guide Edgar was very helpful and made the whole experience unforgettable. For anyone wishing to try a tour to Rainbow mountain, this is the company to use, I assure you it will be worthwhile .
The scenery is spectacular, everything is explained very thoroughly, and they are very attentive to any particular needs you have. Happily answered any questions that we had along the way also

We did the ATV Tour to Rainbow Mounting and we loved the day from start to finish!! Getting up early was more than worth it. Punctual pickup, great driver, breakfast with pancakes, omelette and lots of fruits, we were the first at breakfast, great instruction at the ATV, the riding was very fun and was super guided (easy for everyone to do), then with the motorbike of the locals to Rainbow Mountain and since we saved ourselves this climb, we still had energy (and handled the altitude well) to walk to the Red Valley viewpoint. Our absolute highlight of the tour next to our guide Rogelio who did a fantastic job, spoke super English, accompanied us on the ATV ride top, always interested in our well-being and tried hard! We were super happy, this one was definitely the favorite tour of our 4 month trip to South America!

Hi, I am planning a trip to Rainbow mountain in August with my 14 and 11 year old kids and was wondering 1. if the ATVs are safe 2. Would they need separate ATVs or are there more than 1 seaters available? If yes, whats the best way to reserve that.

Hi, the ATVs did have room for 2 people. The trail leading up to the rainbow mountain though can be bumpy and there are some sharp turns though. If your children have been on ATVs before, it probably won't be too bad but I wouldn't recommend for a first time ATV driver/rider. Hope this helps.

Sorry - I thought you were asking about a different trip. No - this is not suitable for young children. The ATVs are best left to adults and the hike at the end is short but very hard because if the altitude.
