Chose this trip without knowing anything, at the end it was wonderful! The guide Wilian was very nice and the transport and food was tasty.
This time I think the information provided by the guide could be improved, though he was very talkative and eager to answer questions he was too obsessed with checking on the slowest walkers of the group that those of us who arrived to the top got almost on our own (my case following the horses), aside from that, everything was amazing.

The trip was really good. The hike to the lake was around a 6/10 difficulty but was worth it when we got there. Be prepared for a long drive back to cusco.

Junto con mis amigos realizamos la caminata a laguna Humantay y Salkantay.
La experiencia fue inolvidable, ya que el paisaje y laguna son mágicas.
Asimismo, la organización de la agencia fue digna de admirar; nos recogieron a tiempo y el guía fue atento con cada miembro del grupo.

Our excursion to Humantay was incredibly well organized. Our guide was excellent and ensured that everyone was safe and knew a lot about the area.
The breakfast took place in a beautiful inn/restaurant overlooking the mountains- the views were just amazing , it was simple but filling, the lunch on the other hand was robust and had many options such as soups, pastas, salad, stews, and juices. It was very filling. I also appreciated that our transport had heat and we were with a very fun group. I recommend this to all.

Humantay lake leaves you speechless with the mountains and glaciers immediately behind the stunning turquoise lake.
We took horses up to help with the altitude, and it was a fun way to get up to the top. From the horse drop off point to the lake is only a brief trip up and over a rise and then the most incredible sight beholds you. The walk back down was a bit rocky.
We used Minka Peru Expeditions to get there and our guide Wilson was excellent! he was very attentive to all the details and very punctual. We loved this trip. Can't recommend it highly enough. Thank you Wilson!

My daughter and I booked this tour and had a pleasant time. Humantay Lake is a beautiful sight and definitely worth the hike. Our tour guide was excellent. He made the experience meaningful and was very attentive throughout the day.
On the other hand, the transportation left a lot to be desired. The van was full of mosquitos and we ended up with dozens of bug bites. Additionally, the tour was entirely full (18 people) and there was no room move at all on the van. The van had a hole in the interior wall and there was no heating, so the six plus hours of driving was very cold. Lastly, we were one of the slowest vehicles on the road. The drive took longer than it should have.
Overall the guide was fantastic, but I would look for different transportation options.

el nivel de complejidad es alto. Mi esposo y yo somos muy activos en las caminatas, pero el cambio de altura es bastante brusco . Unas 3 horas de subida al menos. Si no estas acostumbrado a caminatas duras o si la altura te afecta, te recomiendo alquilar un caballo para subir.

After our climb, we stopped to eat lunch about 2:30, and then it's a 3 hour drive home. I think we got back to Cusco about 6.

Olá. O ingresso você compra chegando lá, são 10 soles peruanos, uns 13 reais. Se for com excursão, você dá o valor a eles na entrada do parque.

It rains most days for short periods, and then is nice and warm for the rest of the day. It would be unusual for it to be pouring rain all day long. Just dress in layers, including T-shirt and sweater and raincoat and hiking boots and you will be ready for it all!

I am flying out of Cusco in the evening. What time does this tour return to Cusco so that I can ensure I get to the airport in time?

You need to be in the airport at least 2 hours before you flight. We came back around 5.30pm to Plaza de Armas. For your ride to the airport, depending where you are staying/traffic, it can take 30 min to get to the airport. I would say be in Cusco at least 3 hours before you are suppose to depart from the airport
