My wife and I cannot speak highly enough of this company. From day one of booking and then having to reschedule right thro to the tour itself the whole team have been nothing but supportive, responsive, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was amazing and everything was done for us. The agency took care of us from the first moment. Her assistant Ari was waiting for us at the hotel reception to give us all the information and tickets we needed for the tours, she also gave some tips for our staying in Cusco. We really appreciate this as foreigners visiting this town for first time. We are grateful their arrangements and for the exceptional hospitality.

Trip was amazing. Our agent, Nixon, was really good with the correspondence both before and during the tour.
Accomodation at Emmanuel Inn was very nice, more like a hotel than a hostel. Dinner was a three course meal where you could chose form a selection of Peruvian food and breakfast sufficient.
The ride over on the minivan itself was slightly uncomfortable due to land slides and heat but it was also budget friendly. If you have it in the budget would probably recommend taking the train, but minivan also doable as well, just make sure you’re not sitting in the back of the van!
Also good to note, that (for us anyway) you have to carry your bags up from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu peak, so pack light. However there is also an option to take a shuttle bus up, if packing light isn’t your thing.

This was an outstanding experience! Nixon and his team went above and beyond to take care of my small group during this two-day adventure. We traveled in the comfort of a private bus, which made the journey even more relaxing and enjoyable. At every stop, we were met with friendly escorts who ensured everything ran seamlessly. One of the highlights was a bucket list experience on the Vistadome PeruRail—truly a breathtaking way to take in the stunning landscapes. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Machu Picchu. The attention to detail and level of care were exceptional. I also really appreciated Nixon being available via WhatsApp to answer a couple of questions while we were exploring Machu Picchu—it made the experience extra special!

An awesome trip, 7 hours minibus through the most stunning landscapes. Stops for refreshments.
Walk 3 hours on the flat along the railway line in beautiful jungle.
Amazing funny guide around Macchu Picchu for 2 hours and then back in reverse.
Be prepared for altitude sickness, cocoa leaves, tablets or agua de florida. Cusco is actually higher so you need it when you arrive there. It’s also much colder, I took winter gear to Macchu Picchu, it’s not necessary. Travel light, it’s hot.
I am 66 and I think Nixon was concerned about me so he checked on me at every stage, there and back and the following day. Outstanding service. No matter how difficult it might be to get there you must not miss Macchu Picchu.

If you would like to enjoy Peru, do not buy any service from this agency. They litterally made the Machu pochi recursion a nightmare for us.
We purchased the minivan 2 days tour. Even known they were aware of a road block due to construction works, they didn’t inform us about those obstacles in the program. the day before when we had the briefing, they explain the program but then the day after the program was not respected at all. We were supposed to be driven until his rieletti a station and be there around 1pm, the reality was that we stopped in the middle of nowhere, had to walk without any guide and in the danger due to rocks falling from the mountain and reached the destination with another minivan at 4.30 pm. In addition to that, they also asked us for extra money, only after our complain they gave us back the extra money we paid to the new driver
If we knew it earlier, we could take other options, For example the train.! They are literally unprofessional and don’t let them ruin your holidays in Peru.

We also offered to take the train as an alternative, but this was declined. -Changes to the itinerary: The situation required adjustments to the planned itinerary to ensure the safety of all passengers. We understand that walking through certain sections may have been uncomfortable, but it was necessary due to circumstances outside of our influence. Our team remained available throughout the day to address concerns and assist as much as possible.
-Extra charges: Regarding the additional payment, we’d like to clarify that this was not requested by our agency but resulted from arrangements made with a secondary driver. When informed of the situation, we acted immediately to ensure you were reimbursed.
-Lunch service: We regret that you chose not to receive the included lunch service. We offered for the next day but it was also declined.
Throughout the day, we worked diligently to address your concerns and ensure your journey continued smoothly under challenging conditions. While we understand your frustration, we believe we acted in good faith to provide solutions and assist you every step of the way.

The organization and communication was very easy and worked great. The tour is probably the cheapest way to get to Machu Picchu. Everything fit for us and we can only recommend the tour.

I couldn’t secure a ticket to Machu Picchu as they were sold out, but luckily, someone recommended the travel agency MegaExpeditions to me. They provided me with a contact number, and I was able to reach out via WhatsApp to explain my situation. From there, I had the choice to continue communicating online or visit their office in Cusco. I opted for the in-person experience and went to meet Juan Pablo. He took time to thoroughly explain all my options for seeing one of the seven wonders of the world, showing incredible patience and expertise.
I decided to book a combination bus and hiking trip, which included two nights in Aguas Calientes. Before the journey, MegaExpeditions sent me a detailed itinerary that made everything simple and clear. To my surprise, Juan Pablo even checked in with me throughout the trip to make sure I was on track and offer help as needed.
Overall, I’d say MegaExpeditions is one of the best travel agencies I’ve ever worked with. I wholeheartedly recommend them and would absolutely book with them again. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
