Pablo, and his crew from Perú travel buddies were everything you would want in a tour provider: great communications, willingness to pivot when things change, and they made our once in a lifetime experience as smooth as possible under difficult and changing conditions. We were supposed to picked up at the port of Pisco, Perú but our cruise line decided not to stop in Pisco. When we reached out to Pablo, he very quickly offered a refund or change our pick up from Pisco to Lima, which is a 3 hour drive to Pisco. When the overflight airline did not have enough passengers to fly at the time we could make, Pablo help us work out an arrangement so they would fly and set up a special time for us because we were far away from the airport and our cruise ship didn’t dock until later in the morning. Tourism in Peru was in turmoil because of recent protest and the port authorities took the cruise passengers to a different location without telling the cruise ship on the day we were suppose to be pick up. Elisa, our English speaking guide very quickly reached out and came to us at the new location. She was a terrific guide who was informative and engaging. The vehicle was very comfortable for the 6-7 hours journey with well plan ‘technical stops’. Everything was ready for us when we arrived at the Pisco airport. The overflight of the Nazca Lines were awe-inspiring. Thank you Pablo for making this happen.

If you want to see the Islas Ballestas, Nazca lines, and Huacachina in one day this is a good way to do it but we didn't love our guide. He didn't give much information on what we were seeing, and some of the answers that we did get we've since realized were inaccurate. For example he never gave us a good explanation of how the Nazca lines were actually created, and when asked how old they were he said they were created in the 1200s. He misunderstood a lot of our questions and his answers always erred on the side of assuming we were asking a stupid question: "How do you say gas station? Yes this is a gas station" "Do you need a ticket to be in this area? Yes that's your ticket" Also our time in Huacachina felt rushed and was an hour shorter than advertised.

My husband and I booked this tour as part of our honeymoon. Prior to booking I wasnnt sure which tour to do (the one which included Nazca lines, or the one which included the pisco tasting instead). Pablo of Travel Buddies Peru was very helpful via email and super prompt to respond. We decided to go with the Ballestas Islands / Huacachina, and Nazca Lines tour! Although it was a very full day, with a very early start, we had a blast! Ayman and Rudy picked us up from our hotel punctually. Our tour consisted of just my husband and I which was great. On the drive, Ayman provided us with a lot of information about Peru— even things we wouldn’t think to ask. It also made the drive pass more quickly :)
Once we arrived to Paracas and the Ballestas Island port, Ayman and Rudy explained to us what to expect. We’d be boarding the boat with a large group, with a multi-lingual tour guide. We were introduced to the guide and then boarded the boat. We got very lucky and saw an incredible amount of wildlife! Cormorants, Peruvian boobys, dolphins, Humboldt penguins, sea lions and pups, among others. We even saw a humpback whale on the way back ( Ayman and Rudy didn’t believe us haha and said it was the first time they’ve heard this).
The next stop was Huacachina, where we did the dune bug ride and sandboarding. Again, it was just us with the driver and a lot of fun!
I will say though it was really disappointing to see the beautiful sand dunes littered with plastic water bottles and other trash, no doubt left behind by tourists. If you’re doing this experience, please make sure to hold onto your trash. It will easily fly out of the dune buggy and negatively impact the beauty of the dunes.
Finally we were headed to Pisco airport to catch our flight over the Nazca lines. We got there a little early so there was quite a bit of waiting around. Going on the little propeller plane and seeing the glyphs from the sky was an awesome experience though! My husband felt a little queasy— the plane does a lot of quick turns and leans so if you get motion sickness easily, this may not be the best activity for you. (I felt fine, though I enjoy rollercoasters and made sure not to eat much before the flight, just in case).
After the flight we were headed back to our hotel. Ayman made one more stop in Ica so that we could try pisco before leaving the area!
Overall we had a great day with Travel Buddies Peru and saw and learned so much! Ayman actually told us that the owners used to work for G Adventures (the same tour group National Geographic uses for many of their trips!) before starting a venture of their own. They specialize in small groups and really make the experience wonderful. I’d highly recommend!

This trip was great, at every location there were many “wow” moments. The speedboat and seeing the sea lions and penguins and the many birds started the trip, it was really fantastic. The flight to see the Nazca lines was a once in a lifetime event; the view from the sky on the way to the lines was captivating and when we got to the lines the real adventure began. The pilot made sure we could spot the figures and swooped above the nazca plains. From there we stopped at the oasis and went on a sand dune buggy ride. The dunes were definitely one of the “wow” moments. The entire sandy desert landscape was spectacular and worth the extra time. Our guide Aymen was amazing, he made sure we were comfortable accommodating all of our different needs along the way. There were plenty of snack and bathroom breaks and a stop for food. His knowledge of the region and culture of Peru really helped to put things into context and heightened the experience. Overall it was a great day seeing great natural sights, learning about the region and getting to meet new people. Really worthwhile. I recommend this trip!

This tour was awesome. So many adventures in one day. On the boat we saw thousands of birds flying in formation, dolphins, sea lions, seals and best of all penguins walking around! At the oasis our guides arranged for a last minute dune buggy ride where we had some laughs and got beautiful pics. The finale was the plane ride over the Nazca Lines which was amazing. Seeing pictures is one thing but flying over this phenomenon in person was unforgettable. Without our guides Aymen and Ruddy the day just wouldn’t have been the same. Every step of the way they took full responsibility of us. They communicated in Spanish for us and were dedicated to setting exact meeting locations and times after each event. Being non Spanish speakers and first time travelers to Peru we were immediately at ease. With a full day tour we had a lot of time to get to know each other. We shared family stories and made a friendship we won’t soon forget. Aymen and Ruddy had such knowledge of the area and Peru in general we really did get an amazing insight into the Peruvian culture. Thanks for a great experience 😊💕🇵🇪 !

We had an amazing private trip today.
It is a full day started at 4:30am pickup from our hotel and we got back to our hotel around 10pm.
Our tour guide, Aymen was amazing and kept us going. He was always able to answer any questions we had as well as recommendations for both areas we were visiting and places to see in Lima itself.
Everything that happened today made it worth the money:
Ballestas Island: we saw a large amount of birds (various kinds), sea lions, Penguins and even some dolphins (apparently very rare).
Nazca Lines: This was my must see for the Peru trip and I couldn't be happier that I saw it. Don't have many other words for it except book the trip and see them.
Huacachina: We had a great time here as well and paid the extra for the sand buggy and sandboarding. As a heads up you can't drive the buggies, but it feels like a rollercoaster when you are going up and down the dunes (depending on your comfort level is how fast the park driver will go). I believe it cost 100 soles each ($33 CAD each) for the dune buggy and the sandboarding upgrade but it was just the two of us with the Park driver.
All in all couldn't be happier with how the day went. Thanks again Aymen for everything.

I wish to thank Andres and Pedro for an unbelievable day yesterday. The day is one that we will never forget. It started very early in the morning and ended very late but we were so grateful for the opportunity to see so many things and to experience this wonderful part of Peru. We travels with our 11 year old twins and they loved every minute. It was absolutely spectacular. The entire day went so smoothly and it got better and better! We loved the penguins on the island of Ballestas. The water was smooth and the ride was enjoyable. The dune buggy at Huacachina was a big hit with my Boys! They absolutely loved it. The flight over Nazca lines was totally incredible. What a sight to see! We enjoyed dinner at sunset in Paracas.
Andres provided so much information and history. We enjoyed listening to him and asking questions. Pedro is a very skilled and safe driver. They are both very professional and kind. We enjoyed the day with them!

Our trip we started in Lima. Our tour guide drove us to the port city Pisco. We went on a boat ride to Ballestas islands and then after we returned our guide took us to the Pisco airport were we took a plane to Nazca lines and saw all 13 lines. After we returned we were then taken to Huacachina Oasis. Then taken back to Lima after.
