The bike rack was quick & easy to find, but it was not at first clear who was responsible for it. Once we went into the shop near it, we found the man responsible and everything went smoothly. Back tire on one of our bikes was low and we had to add air at a gas station. Also, the seat kept falling down until we figured out how to tighten it better. Chain came off once as well. No major issues, just small annoyances. Enjoyed 3 1/2 hours of lovely biking along the ocean as well as through town. Good bike locks. Owner was very friendly.

Ship arrived late and guide waited but it cut the tour short. Bikes are in disrepair and no helmets provided. Seats were deteriorated, gears didn’t work, and no brakes, only manual brakes by using pedals, which is scary on hills. Guide rode extremely slow through crowded streets which made it difficult to steer and navigate. Unsure why they would take you through crowded pedestrian streets. Unfortunately, cannot recommend.

I'm so glad I did this! Rather than expensive cab rides across town to see everything I wanted to see, I took advantage of the nice weather and Orange Bike's very reasonable prices to rent a bike. The communication was great (WhatsApp messaging in English or Spanish), the bike was clearly used but indestructible on the sometimes-rough roads and sidewalks (and I'm confident that had I experienced an issue, I would have gotten an immediate response from the company). I had the freedom to explore any part of Montevideo that I wanted. A lock was supplied so I wasn't worried about theft. Plus, my hotel had clearly worked with them before and stored the bike in their garage overnight for me. Overall, the best way to get the most out of your time in Montevideo.

Super easy to rent bikes from Orange Bike. They delivered to our place on time and the next day found where we had locked them and took them away without even bothering us! (They let us know, of course.) Terrific value for the price ($15 CAD for 24 hours). We recommend this service highly.
The bikes are not really well-maintained, however. Eg: chains haven't been oiled in a long time; all gears not always functioning. One of our bikes was making loud noises, so we contacted the company and they directed us to an Orange Bike depot that was luckily nearby. So try the bike out before you take it away.
Highly recommended to bike the Rambla! We went from la Ciudad Vieja to Malvin Beach in about an hour and a half, mostly flat and well maintained bike path the whole way.

Tenía 1 día libre en montevideo y decidí arrendar una Orange Bike . Me fui sola por la Rambla , con un mapa y listo! La bici funciona muy bien, tiene un Cándado que te permite dejarla estacionada en cualquier lado y caminar. Miguel me trajo la bici al hotel en 30 min desde que llame . Tuve unas dudas y siempre respondió el teléfono . Lo pase expect cular !

We had the best experience with them.
Texted them, that we need 2 bikes, 1/2 later they got delivered to our Airbnb, easy payment options, super nice people.
Next day we called them again, they came and picked them up, everything smooth and very professional.
Highly recommended and so much fun exploring the city and biking along the promenade.

Excelente servicio. Te la llevan a tu hotel y las bicicletas están en gran estado. Te recomiendo rodar en las ramblas e intentar ver el atardecer

Viajar à capital Uruguaia se valendo da ideia de que o Real é mais valorizado do que o peso é um erro fatal!
Com a economia dolarizada, Montevidéu é um convite para ingressarmos no SPC e a cada compra no cartão sofremos um mini enfarto quando o banco manda a mensagem de cobrança.
Mas nem tudo são espinhos. Vivemos uma das experiências mais fantásticas de todas as nossas viagens pedalando as "bicis" da Orange Bike.
Recebemos nossas bicicletas em nosso Airbnb, pontualmente no horário marcado e pedalamos por nove horas, parando no Parque Rodó, no letreiro de Montevideo, no porto para comprar tíquetes do Buquebus, no Teatro Solís e por toda Cidade Velha.
No final do dia, já cansados, poderíamos ter deixado as bicicletas na sede da Orange Bike, mas resolvemos economizar no Uber e voltamos pedalando.
O Miguel novamente foi pontual e as recolheu no horário marcado.
Tudo isto rodando com uma criança de 04 anos, que se divertia na cadeirinha.
Se vierem a Montevideo o passeio de bicicleta é imperdível!

Should you ever visit the capital of Uruguay on a cruise, I highly recommend renting a bike from Orange Bike. They are within minutes walking distance from the cruise port, have excellent bikes to rent (by European standards) for very reasonable rates. On top the lady who runs the shop is exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Montevideo is generally a bike-friendly city with wide boardwalks and bike lanes.

O aluguel da bike simples por um dia inteiro,com devolução no hotel que vc está hospedado, custa 350 pesos. As bikes poderiam ser melhores, mas andam bem, atendimento da senhora loira de olhos azuis foi excelente.

Por lo que sé, te alquilan por menos de las ocho horas pero tiene un costo fijo, por lo que te recomiendo que tomes todo el horario que se te ofrece.

Qual a forma de pagamento ? Aceita cartão de credito ? Aceita Dolar ? Pode alugar por algumas horas ? Qual tarifa ? E porque vou ficar algumas horas na cidade devido ao Navio.
