I went on my own, a solo traveler, and there was never a moment I felt awkward or strange. My guide, Koli, was good natured and accommodating. He was well-versed in all sorts of area history, but never overwhelmed a traveler with too much information. This is an active, and intense, fast-paced tour, but it is perfect for a traveler who wants to see a glimpse of these beautiful countries without a lot of time to spare.

It was the best tour i have ever taken. I got the opportunity to fully experience the countries we visited and to learn about their history and the reason why they became nations. The tour guide was excellent. I totally recommend!

It is the more comprehensive tour I have ever taken, in all regards, specially to understand the dynamics of the countries visited, their history and the reason why they became nations. The real factor for this tour to be so excellent is the tour guide, with plenty of knowledge about the geography, the history and politics. Do not hesitate to ask for Gerion as the tour guide. He makes the difference.

Firstly thanks to Choose Balkans for organising this tril for me in just 5 days’ notice! They did a custom itinerary for me which was super helpful and kept in touch to make sure all was going to plan. My tour guide Eri was excellent throughout the trip. He was communicative, spontaneous and thoughtful. I felt safe and well looked after and Eri’s knowledge of the Balkan history really added to the fun of the trip. I hope to come back to explore more of Albania, it is so so beautiful, definitely my favourite out of all three countries.

Everything is as described in the itinerary, we were specifically lucky to have Bledi as our guide, who is a very knowledgeable,

We had such an amazing time on our tour. My husband, my son, and I traveled with our amazing guide, Leku, through the Balkans for 4 days. (Tour started in and ended in Tirana, and we went to N. Macedonia and Kosovo too) There is no better way to do a tour like this than with a driver/tour guide. We would never been able to do this alone.
He was extremely knowledgeable about the region, and we knew we could ask him anything. He really took into consideration all of our interests. My husband loves the history, and my son and I love taking 1000s of photos. Even the roads between stops were breathtaking, and he was very patient when I asked to stop often for photos. He now feels like part of our family, especially after our funny car rides and meals together. He would make special stops for us along the way, simply because he knew we would like it. Spending over 12 hours a day with him was easy and very enjoyable.
As for the tour itself, I can’t even pick a favorite spot. They all were my favorites for different reasons. The photos I’m attaching will speak for themselves. These destinations are must-sees, and you get up close and personal with them. We also had a little bit of alone time, whether we decided to rest or explore on our own. That was up to us.
The hotels we stayed in were wonderful too. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, even for 3 of us, and perfect locations. It Made our evenings very walkable. The breakfasts that were included were plentiful, which was great before a long day of travel. The food we ate— prepare your stomachs! You will be so full! Yum!
Don’t hesitate to book this tour! You will love it! We will be back for sure

Our 4 days tour was more than we imagined. The sights, smells, and history were simply stunning, things I will never forget. You will get the most of the Balkans in four days. I will definitely visit Albania again, it is a hidden gem. Lovely experience

Where to start. We picked Albania as a travel destination largely because it was one of the few countries who was allowing U.S. citizens in back in November 2020.
We came across Choose Balkans by pure luck, and lucky we were. We were looking for a tour company to arrange our hiking tour from Valbona to Theth. We got so much more. The staff at Choose Balkans was top notch. We made an appointment to come to their office, as we wanted to make sure they understood our travel needs. After a lockdown of 8 months in the U.S. we just wanted to relax, take it slow, and enjoy the simple moments. We are not "tour" people, we have always travelled independently, and booking an arranged tour was a stretch for us. We also wanted safety and a responsible travel company. Choose Balkans understood our needs straightaway. The hike was incredible. We ended up booking the rest of our journey with them. N. Macedonia, Kosovo, the Albanian country side, it was magical. They were kind, professional, and extremely accommodating. Top of the line. They even arranged our hotel accommodations in Tirana at the end of our trip. High-quality, one-stop shop. We couldn't have asked for more.
We have travelled to over 50 countries, and I have to say, Albania is at the top of our list because of Choose Balkans. THANK YOU Alban, Sokol, and Rozi. You made our Albania experience unforgettable!! We love you.
