The meeting point was hard to find,no number to orient by.They should weight it is next to moskee and opposite Mac Donald.But we had driver Stefan,very good driver,friendly and service minded.Skopje is beautiful town,lots of culture and art.Go for it!But the best is ask for pick up at your hotel.

Operator cancelled the night before without explanation or option. Book at your own risk. I had a plan B but be aware - very unreliable. This may explain the lack of reviews for this tour.

Tour was canceled by the tour operater in the afternoon the day before the arranged departure time. I was given and no alternative date. Book with a plan B in mind.

I was a little apprehensive to begin with as it was just my daughter and I going on this trip and I was worried about not knowing where we were being picked up from or what to expect when we got to Macedonia. I needn’t have worried at all. This was by far the most well organised trip I have ever done. We was sent a full itinerary and a google maps link to our pick up point. Our driver was exactly where he should be and was expecting us. Our driver was really friendly and helpful. Our minibus was very comfortable and our driver was happy to do as many stops as we wanted. He explained to us fully before we set off what to expect from the day. He took care of dealing with the border crossing and even got our passports stamped for us. He handed us over to another guide when we arrived in Macedonia so we knew exactly what we was doing and who we was going with. Our walking tour of Macedonia took in all the sights you’d want to see and we were told lots of the history. We knew exactly where to meet our driver to return to Bulgaria and again on our return trip our driver was happy to stop whenever we wanted and took care of all of our passports at passport control. Travelling can sometimes be a little daunting especially when it’s just you and your daughter but I have literally never felt in safer hands than I did on this trip. 5*s all around. Bear in mind it is a long day out and it is a long journey. But it is so worth it to get the opportunity to combine two countries on one holiday.

It was an excellent trip. Worth the many hours of travel. Highly recommended. The vehicle was a bit small to accomodate all the passengers especially those who sit with man spread style. The guides were kind, attenuative and knowledgeable. Great discussions on issues or questions raised. The landscape is beautiful.

Great trip. Very long day. Some travellers made us over an hour late to get to city so we were quite rushed and limited for the tour there. Our border crossing was on the average side-- this can also affect your arrival times --we were lucky. The local guide in Skopje did his best with the shortened time he had. We did take ample time for a quaint sit down lunch. Phillip, the main guide, was a safe driver, helpful, knowledgeable and talkative. We even stopped quickly to see a famous monastery on our return trip. Experienced a beautiful sunset there! I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Hindsight -- I would have loved to spend two days in Skopje and maybe see the nearby lakes. Next time!

Philip was a super host in taking us to Skopje. He was so entertaining and he was not only knowledgeable but he really knows how to related to customers. He made us laugh and kept our small group entertained with his banter and most of all his music choice ( I love me some funk music). He also made the day really interactive on the way back as we each had to pick a song to play. Little things like this made our group bond instead of being several strangers on a tour together. No hesitation to recommend Philip at all

Great tour to get a flavour of northern Macedonia and Skopje. Phillip our tour guide and driver was great and really knowledgeable. Although it’s a long drive, we saw some great scenery. Would recommend this tour

The ride was long but comfortable. The local tour guide was informative, however, there is not much to see in Skopje. A major disappointment was the lunch that was included in the package. We were offered a cheap vegetarian lunch. This was due to misinformation given by our driver. This soured our experience.

A long day (4 hours each way) but so very enjoyable! We were collected by our Guide Ivan, who was super professional & knowledgable, whilst also friendly. A great combination & our group of 3 girls felt very safe in his company.
The drive was very pretty once off the Highway & it was lovely to see some of the Bulgarian/North Macedonian countryside. Ivan was flexible with pitstops according to needs. Skopje is a really interesting place to visit. So much history & it retains a more Eastern feel than its neighbour. The post earthquake regeneration is pretty impressive, certainly a lot of statutes to admire!
Lunch was very pleasant & I loved seeing where Mother Teresa was born.
If you have time whilst in Sofia, this is a great way to spend a day & get a taste of another country. Recommended.
