An enjoyable tour, but...

Please bring cash if you want to visit the church and also if you want to have lunch at the monastery. Other than this issue, we really enjoyed the tour but bear in mind that the guide spoke in Spanish for most of the time despite it being an English tour. Luckily we understand both languages.

Unprofessional guide who doesn't know the history.

I was impressed with the unprofessionalism of the guide! Entire excursion was spoiled by his behaviour. I definitely won't recommend your company to any of my friends.

The guide asked us where we had been from at the very beginning of the tour. And we replied that we were from Ukraine. Ukraine! Not russia. But during the tour the guide continuously repeated 'for the people in the group from russia' (meaning us), 'like people from russia', etc. Although we are Ukrainians. And he knew it from the very beginning. But deliberately he was continuing to insult us by naming us russians.

I conclude that your guide is total 0 in history if he doesn't know that Ukrainians are a different nation with different language and culture. Shame on the guide who performs the tours but doesn't know the history.

Hello, please take our sincerely apologize for this situation! I can guarantee 100% that the guide did not mean to insult you - we all sympathize with your nation and people, regarding this horrible war! The guide himself is a professional historian, so he knows for sure the differences between the two nations. He had a rather big group to handle so I suppose that he got destructed with the nationalities but once again – I can guarantee for sure that this was not done on purpose and I will speak with him about this. Once again, please take our sincere apologies and please be sure that it was not done intentionally!

Piacevole esperienza, soprattutto il monastero

Il monastero merita assolutamente una visita, mentre la chiesa è meno affascinante, soprattutto per chi arriva dall'Italia. Molto bene il ristorante nel quale la guida ci ha permesso di pranzare: buono ed economicissimo

Giornata super

Giornata fantastica, il monastero è stupendo e mozzafiato, stessa cosa per la chiesa. La guida Angel era preparatissima e super disponibile, così come il driver.
Pranzo ottimo in un posto consigliato da Angel, unica cosa si paga solamente in moneta locale contante.

Wonderful experience!

This is an amazing experience! I had a pretty fun time learning and experiencing Bulgaria. Our guide Philip is a really nice person who is truly enthusiastic about presenting these places to us. I would really recommend the tour to anyone doing solo trips in Bulgaria. Price wise, pretty much fair and acceptable considering the group size and the shuttle bus. I hope I found out these day trips earlier!

great visit!

Great experience, especially considering the small price for a full day including guide and bus.
One tip, bring some cash as lunch is not included and card may not work due to the isolated mountain location.
Places are really worth the visit, and the guides were really available and entertaining!

Imprescindible, aunque mejorable

Excursión totalmente recomendable y casi imprescindible, sobre todo por el Monasterio de Rila.
Mirando bien, entre unas webs y otras, te puedes ahorrar entre 5-10€.
El guía de City Tour (Tuni) fue muy amable y simpático, pero tenía prisa por terminar desde antes de empezar y fue conduciendo como un auténtico búlgaro: acelerones, frenazos, exceso de velocidad, adelantamientos incluso en línea continua.
