Great wine, excellent service

We did the wine tasting with Dario at 3.30pm, after a morning of sightseeing tours. It was a really great activity to do, to recharge and get ready for evening plans as a tourist. The wines Dario picked were all local and delicious. It was a relaxed tasting, and we were able to enjoy the wines on our own between the tasting information that Dario provided. Would definitely recommend as a couple activity.

The wines were interesting but for the cost the value was not there, one glass of wine and one small dish of cheese and meats was very minimal for five different wines.

Abel’s wine bar, Bucharest

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tasting Romanian wines. Our host was most informative.
We learned that their wines are all single varietal ~ no blends.

We might come back!

This was the highlight of our trip to Bucharest. We loved the wine tasting at Abel’s. The host selected the finest wines for our wine tasting and he brought an delicious platter of tapas.

Great evening activity in the city

Fantastic little place in the city for wine tasting experience. Great wines and cheeseboard and lovely atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend a visit here for the wine tasting.

An amazing revelation- Romanian wine is excellent!

Paolo led us through a wide variety of Romanian wines, from various regions. Reds and whites were very good to outstanding. A huge platter of cheese and meats included- it was fantastic. Paolo knows his stuff, a professional wine coach, very proud of Romanian wines quality.

We were there in May of 2021.

Siamo stati a Bucarest per qualche giorno in vacanza con amici. Visto che siamo appassionati di vini avevamo trovato questo evento interessante e così siamo andati a provare...
E' stata veramente una piacevole sorpresa!
La selezione di vini proposta è decisamente interessante, spazia tra tipologie diverse, bollicina / bianchi / rossi / passito, delle varie zone della Romania, ognuno con distinti caratteri organolettici.
Ogni vino è stato introdotto, in lingua italiana, con estrema competenza dal ragazzo che ci ha servito. C'è sicuramente una preparazione che arricchisce l'esperienza, sia nella selezione che nella spiegazione dei vini.
Il tutto accompagnato da una serie di taglieri con prodotti tipici.
Consigliatissimo!

Outstanding wine tasting experience!

We absolutely loved our experience with Paolo! We wanted to learn about and taste some Romanian wines, and Abel's provided the perfect experience. Paolo guided us through each wine and was open to answering all of our questions. The wine was great as well. Our tasting included water as well as an incredible charcuterie board. It was a perfect way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon! Thank you Paolo!

Best understanding of Romania’s unique wines.

As someone who is going through sommelier certification I wanted to taste wine from grapes that are unique to Romania. Dario did that and then some. I am grateful for his enthusiasm and expertise. If you want to understand the best in Romanian wines this is the place to go b

Excellent intro to Romanian Wine

Great tasting of small batch Romanian wines - 2 white, 1 rose and 2 reds plus a beautiful meat and cheese plate. Our host, Dario, was very knowledgeable and friendly. A great place to just stop for some wine if you don’t have time for the tasting tour.
