Bucharest is amazing! Bucharest has a lot of old buildings whose walls and roofs are starting to be covered in some very creative ways. This tour is a must if you are coming to visit Bucharest!

A gem of an experience

My husband and I are travel bloggers, so we've done MANY food tours in Europe and this one stood out from them all. Laura is the kindest host, and we have learned so much about Romanian people and history. The food we tried with abundant and so flavorful. We didn't know what to expect from Romanian food but Laura chose dishes that really blew us away. Don't hesitate to book this one!

Fantastic Food in a Fascinating City

Tip 1: Eat a small breakfast & bring your biggest stomach!

This was such a fantastic tour. I was intensely curious about what Romanian food was all about & boy did I find out. The chance to try several of the cuisines that come together to create the particular food landscape of the country was great. But getting a chance to eat spectacular examples of them was special. I even came away with tips about where else to eat when I got hungry again.

The wine of Romania is truly lovely, but my favorite, hands down are the "borș" or sour soups. Pork is definitely the favorite meat, but fish from the Black Sea are also everywhere. The herbs in so many dishes give so much life to the food - and the fact that Romania is a great place to grow food comes through in every dish.

And Step by Step will definitely take you through the best of it all.
If you can go with a group - that’s the best! You’ll get to taste kore things, but I had a blast on my own. This tour will give you a chance to start to see what makes Romania what it is… and you may even understand why Romanians seem to love Mexican food!

A very fun an informative time.
Effort wise - this tour doesn’t have too much walking and the bus & subways are easy to use, so it it is easy to get to the tour start points. (You can just pay your fares w/ a credit card tap!)
Otherwise úber is a great way to get where you need to be.

Top notch! Laura makes the difference

Definetely one of the best food tours we have been at. Laura is a perfect host: fun, laidback and knowledgeable. We learned many things about Romanian culture and tasted a wide variety of traditional food. Quality of food was top and the amount was definetely over our expectations ! Another plus to this tour is the chance to explore an area of Bucharest we wouldn’t have visited otherwise. It’s been an authentic foodie experience and a rich cultural discovery! 10 out of 10!

A must have experinece in Bucharest and Romania

We had such a great time !We went a few times with Laura and her team of guides on this Street Food 'n'Culture Tour together with groups of American,British and Australian guests and every time we had a blast.It was great selection of Romanian foods and drinks topped with lovely desert at the end.The personality of Laura , Maria and the other guides made everybody had a great time and added to the experience...We would highly recommend it.

Great food and architecture tour

The tour included visits to several quite unique restaurants, a market, a street food place, an art shop and a pastry shop. Laura was a really great guide - we learned a lot about Romania and Bucharest, especially about some of the fascinating architecture. Laura was super helpful and also gave us great tips for dinner places and bars which we made sure to visit later during our trip. Highly recommended - a great introduction to local culture!

Local tours were a hit

Getting to know the local cuisine is always worth doing such a tour but I liked the restaurant/bar tour best because local tours are always fun

Great way to spend a few hours in Bucharest

Emma gave us a great private tour of some less touristy areas of Bucharest! We really enjoyed the food choices and the walk, learning about the city and Romanian history! Great way to spend a few hours in a new city!

Fantastic trips

We had a lovely time on the food & culture tour, enjoyed some lovely local food and saw some amazing local buildings, with Ioan being a great guide. We also did the belle epoque tour with Ioan the following day which was very enjoyable.
